Great video. I so enjoy watching you. I used to work for Chanel on 57th st, but now I live in London. I have a picture of me sitting on a desk in Coco Chanel's replica apartment that was at the top. Good times! I used to wear Bois Des Iles, but these days I wear Portrait of a Lady.

wagsbass Yes I think so too. A traditional Bellini is made with peach juice... I was out of that and just happened to have Papaya...so I just dove right into it! LOL.
Oh gosh I also bought the parfum of the Beige at the same time as the gardenia, they are my favorite of the les exclusifs of de chanel so far ! I never made it to the Boutique in San Francisco before only in Vegas, the other Boutiques have mailed me stuff in the past !

Hey, I had a champagne and mimosa breakfast while at Virginia Beach over the weekend. It's not quite bourbon followed with a beer chaser, but they were both complimentary with breakfast..so what what the heck! Anyway, I enjoyed the review and learning a few things about this fragrances.
Jim R Oh...Bourbon with a beer chaser sounds pretty good? What is that drink where they drop a shot glass of Whiskey into a mug of beer? A Boilermaker? I should do one of those for the channel some day. Now to find the right cologne to go with it....hummm. Old Spice??Thanks Jim... I am learning a lot too!
Yep, it's a Boilermaker. I'm actually not much of a drinker and usually stop at one or two. C'est la vie!

Jim B. a really good one is "the Screret of Chanel No.5: The Intimate History of the World's Most Famous Perfume" by Tilar J. Mazzio. and I enjoyed, "Chanel, A Woman of Her Own" By Axel Madsen. I am currently reading her own book, The Allure of Chanel (co-written by Paul Morand with Illustrations by Karl Lagerfeld. And I highly recomend the film Coco Avant Chanel ( Coco Before Chanel) staring Audrey Tautou ~ The best film on her life.

I don't believe I have ever had a Bellini. I must amend that asap as I love the painter and composer. Why wouldn't I enjoy the drink as well! Oh your channel is such an education! Yet one can only keep so much perfume! Eventually, it looses its bloom! What to do? I do wish they would sell tiny bottles, so one could buy a dozen or more different fragrances and enjoy the variety without worrying about the purchase price being wasted! I have a YSL L'Homme at the moment which is in worrying condition. I think it is about to say au revoir to me! Weep! Weep! Regards from Melbourne. Daniel.
+Daniel Hammond Keep them in their boxes in a dark cool place (even a refrigerator!} and they can last for years...sometimes decades if they are well made. Cheers to you down in lovely Melbourne.

bhaffar Cheers bhaffar! Yes I ahve smelled it. It is a very classic Eau De Cologne and very well done. It is nothing spectacular but is you want to spend the money for Chanel's version of the old school classic then by all means you should!
Lanier Smith Thanks for the response. I had read that it smells similar to 4711 and if that's the case I can't justify paying the Chanel price but I still wouldn't mind sampling it sometime.
Yes in my book 4711 is the benchmark in classic eau de cologne. But still it is fun to smell as many Chanel Exclusifs as you can/

Of the three I would go with the very green very spring and summery No.19 from 1970 named after Coco Chanel's birthday. It was made especially for her and the last perfume to be made under her watchful eye and nose. If you can afford it I would get the pure parfum. It is even more spectacular. But only if you can spend that money with ease. I don't want you breaking the piggy bank on my suggestion. Let me know how it goes.
Does Mrs. T like green fragrances that smell like summer grass in Saint James Park in London? (with Iris and oak moss and red roses in the distance?)
