Got the job done saving a lot of money. Had trouble reconnecting the two smaller ball and socket joints (that adjust mirror position). Got them in by applying some heat and a though of white lithium grease. Thanks again.
Hello Leonidas. Thank you for doing this video. I ordered 1x metal and 1x plastic 48T gears to sort my mazda2 mirror. Did the plastic worm gear cope with the metal 48T gear? Or, would you recommend sticking with plastic gear? Thanks

Hi, I’m having this problem with the passenger side mirror on a car I just bought to sell. I would like to repair mine because in case I can’t, would getting a new wing mirror solve the problem?
Kαλησπέρα, Επειδή πιθανώς να έχω και εγω το ίδιο πρόβλημα. Μια μέρα μπήκα στο αμαξι και ενω δεν ασχολήθηκα καθόλου με τους καθρέφτες ακουσα εναν ηχο που δεν σταμάταγε. Εν τελη ειδα οτι ηταν ο καθρέφτης του οδηγού. Το θέμα ειναι οτι ενω ήταν ανοιχτός το μοτερ συνέχιζε να δουλεύει και δεν μπορούσα να το κανω να σταματήσει απο τον διακόπτη. Εν τελη το άνοιξα και το αποσύνδεσα. Δεν κοίταξα τα γρανάζια γιατί υπέθεσα οτι λόγω ζέστης κάτι φταίει στην πλακέτα και κάτι εχει βραχυκυκλώσει. Ο δεξιά καθρέφτης λειτουργεί κανονικά.
Όπως και στα ηλ.παράθυρα η πλακέτα δίνει εντολή να σταματήσει το μοτέρ όταν διαβάσει πολλά αμπέρ.Αυτό συμβαίνει όταν συναντάει φυσική αντίσταση το παράθυρο,είται από τον σκελετό της πόρτας είται από κάποιο κεφάλι παιδιού (μακριά από μας).Η βλάβη είναι ότι το γρανάζι που αστόχησε δεν προσφέρει αρκετή φυσική αντίσταση λόγω του ψιλοφαγομένου άξονα του.
Τελικά είχες δίκιο είχε σπάσει και εμένα ακριβώς το ίδιο! Ωστόσο επειδή δεν είχα ανταλλακτικό έκανα μια πατέντα με δύο ροδέλες για να φτιάξω το πλαστικό. Το θέμα είναι ότι τώρα έχω το ακριβώς αντίθετο πρόβλημα... Κάπου σφινωνει και δεν ξεκινάει καν το μοτέρ. Οπότε καταλήγω ότι μάλλον πρέπει να το αντικαταστησω και εγώ όπως έκανες και εσύ. Ξέρεις που μπορώ να προμηθευτώ ανταλλακτικά είτε γρανάζι είτε ολόκληρο τον μηχανισμό;
@@thenik2815 έχω link στην περιγραφή,έχει και πλαστικό (ή/και μεταλλικό αν προτιμάς).Ο μηχανισμός ολόκληρος δεν αξίζει γιατί το έχει 50€ στο aliexpress :(
@@leonidassotiropoulos9618 That is my Problem Leonidas. I removed the mirror from the car and I am stucked. I removed the mirror but can not remove the motor at all.
@@mikr0bi start with the glass,pull it out gently...then contnue with the painted mirror cover,pry the slots with a flathead screwdriver...then remove the up/down/left/right wires and motor

remove the fuse (drivers side) to disable the mirrors until spare parts arrive, but remember that mirror-fuse powers the radio too

If you didn’t sort this, brute force is the answer. I used all the strength in my hands and back. Putting the new gear in is a faff too.
Does anyone know what type of torx bolts those were at 4:01 I can’t seem to find them online
No torx whatsoever. Only phillips screwdriver needed :)

Ακριβώς αυτό είναι το σύμπτωμα.Αυτό Το βίντεο είναι για σένα.

How did you remove the broken gear?
Must remove the mirror from the car,then disassemble the whole thing on the bench.I didn't recorded it but it's the opposite procedure of the video
