Nice! My personal favorite is Burnout Paradise on the Xbox 360/Xbox One...the fact that it is now backwards compatible is great...Criterion shows AMAZING customer support by leaving the servers up!
Yep! I have the disc verison from my Xbox 360 and all the DLC, but I got the free digital version of the game so I don't have to insert the disc to play it...best of both worlds...my DLC and save progress carried over... Played it online and there are still quite a few games available on it...
The Nostalgia Factor It even feels like it runs at 60fps on Xbox One! I may not get into it, but the music was great. I'm not sure if the games ran at 60fps on the PS2, Xbox or Xbox 360. Apparently 60fps was implemented more often around the PS2 era.
Yea it was around the ps2 e slim era. Not sure if component cables made it faster or slower tho i did notice my mega man annaversary collection suffers from lag when using components
THOROUGHLY enjoyed this episode! I'm fully advocating Metal Jesus Plays. Lol. A Let's Play alternative channel or additional segment/episode featuring head-2-head and/or cooperative gameplay is VERY welcome! 🤘🏻
Burnout 3 is probably the best arcade racer of all time. Revenge was almost as good but I would choose 3 all day. Burnout Paradise was also crack when it came out. Open world Burnout! They need to make Burnout 4 for the new consoles.
I absolutely adore the Burnout series, Burnout 3 Takedown being my personal favorite. I've been playing Burnout Legends on the PSP recently which is a mashup of Burnout 1 through 3 and its really fun I recommend it to anyone with a PSP and wants some Burnout on the go. Me along with other Burnout fans are waiting for more news on the "Spiritual Successor" to Burnout 3 made by the same team previously at Criterion that, are now Three Fields Entertainment. I enjoyed watching this lets play with you and DMP excited to see more in the future. :)
Seeing a few people asking for SSX. Damn, I'm gonna get SCHOOLED! We used to play SSX Tricky every weekend and I would get my ass handed to me. Tell you what: I will do Let's Play SSX Tricky with MJR if he agrees to gear up and spar with me. Kind of the same mismatch.
I would definitely be interested in that. I ended with an Orange Belt in TaeKwonDo (but its been like 8 years since I've had to use it...) but I would be happy to spar if I am ever out there! (Think the only form that I remember is Chon'ji...)
DrunkenMasterPaul How about a Fighting game episode maybe take a game from Tekken, Mortal Kombat and Street fighter and battle it out that way? 3 rounds 3 games one winner maybe that could make a good I HATE U episode
Sad that gaming isn't a get together on the couch split screen as much as it was back then. Online multiplayer just doesn't feel that personal and fun. I remember playing vs mode in Tekken 3 and Medal of honor on ps1 on the couch with my best friend back in the 90's. That was real fun. I play Titanfall 2 now a days with a friend I have never met on ps4 but that just isn't the same thing to me.
Someone on AtariAge had just asked for good PS2 games, and I recommended Burnout 3:Takedown; I just received Burnout Legends for PSP; AND THEN you come out with this _awesome_ Let's Play Burnout video! Three wins in a row! Coincidence?
The 3rd game holds a very, very special place in my heart. I have so many good memories of playing with my friends back in South Africa. It's probably my all time favourite PS2 game, and my second favourite racing game of all time.
So entertaining! I recently subscribed and have been binge watching all your vids. You have great variety! Burnout 3 is my favorite racing game of all time.
I love the Burnout series, especially Burnout 3 Takedown and Burnout Revenge. The physics are real in terms of vehicle damage because its fun to see the cars get deformed and destroyed. The game is both enjoyable and accessible because anyone can play it even those who aren't fans of racing games. Bring some friends over for some chaotic multiplayer and things get really intense and insane. Prior to Burnout Revenge you always had to be weary of crashing into pedestrian vehicles. Of course, you also had to take into consideration other racers, environmental obstacles and the fast sense of speed. Suffice to say, the racing got intense and tense. With Burnout Revenge the game not only allowed you to crash into other vehicles but it also encouraged it. However, you couldn't crash into sideways or opposite traffic or buses and big rigs but it allowed for some leeway while still being challenging. I love the crash junctions, road rage, traffic attack, crashbreaker, grand prix and the always tense eliminator races. I wished Criterion Games would make a new Burnout game because I definitely miss the series. Thanks to MetalJesusRocks and Drunken Master Paul for making this awesome video.
A pleasure to see DMP again on this channel. I love Burnout 3, it sucked so many hours during my teenage years! Also, "goddamn you are bad", MetalJesus! XD
The last 2 games you played (Burnout and Timesplitters 2) are 2 of my most missed series. Love to see them come back or get remastered at the very least.
Great video. Definitely want to see more for these. Burnout looks fun. I have Burnout Paradise on the Xbox 360 because it was a free download, and that is the first one I've ever played. I have an original Xbox, so I will definitely be on the look out for some of these. Especially Burnout Revenge.
Metal Jesus, just thought I should let you know that all of these games support 16:9 widescreen and 480p accross PS2, Gamecube, and Xbox. I'd highly recommend playing them with those settings, you won't regret it! Edit: I love watching you guys play my favorite game of all time Burnout 2: Point of Impact
Man these games had the best soundtracks and introduced me to a lot of bands that I still listen to today: Atreyu Bullet For My Valentine Rise Against Comeback Kid Billy Talent Finch Thrice Avenged Sevenfold Funeral For A Friend From First To Last Motion City Soundtrack
My buddies and I played hours upon hours when we lived together. I think we had Burnout 3 on PS2. Crash mode was fun trying to score the highest damage total
BO3 was so damn good. Series never hit that high again for me. Everything was humming along perfectly - walking the line between difficulty and adrenaline rush perfectly. The online on XBOX live back in the day was great as well.
Metal Jesus is at it again! Bringing his buddy DMP along for a fast and furious ride in today's "Let's Play Burnout" video!!! Hang on tight, blink and you'll BURNOUT!!!
Burnout is among my favorite racing series of all time! My personal favorite of the whole series was Legends on PSP although I remember hoping they'd port it to PS2 and they never did.
Great video. One for sure that is SUPER fun is Fusion Frenzy for the XBOX. Some of the mini games were boring but some were EPIC. I know yall would have a lot of fun.
Road Rage... Oh my... one of the best racing game modes of all time! Seriously the goal of just crashing into stuff is perfect! Thank you for all that you do! I love watching your vids (especially the XBOX and PSP collecting ones). I started my channel not too long ago (where I focus on Five Minute Reviews for games). I actually have a review for Burnout Legends PSP on my channel if anyone wants to check it out... thanks :)
Loved the Video MJR. Been watching you since I can remember...and Burnout 3 is my all time favorite racing game having put hundreds of hours on my ps2 when I was just a kid. Fun times too bad I had to grow up. Either way make more videos like this! And of course keep rocking \m/
I have to agree with you Drunken Master Paul, dual video outputs are way overdue. Excellent vid, brought back so many memories. Burnout 2 lived in my xbox for so long. Cheers guys.
Love this series. Fond memories of crash mode. But revenge looks silly to me, the other cars bounce away like beach balls! I know its not a simulator but i like the 3rd one more. I think its hilarious how beat up the cars get and you keep driving. Like with the doors hanging off lol
aaaahhhh so many fond memories with this series from playing burnout 3 with friends the playing burnout revenge with my wife later crash mode was the only mode she would play with me good times I wish they would make more of these it would be amazing!
Burnout is an awesome game, love party crash mode. If you want suggestions, I'd like to see a video discussing games that pushed a console's graphical limits. Hancock would probably be a good guy for it.
I could watch you guys play games all day lol. Food for thought tho: Imagine how many more views you'd get if you took out swearing and made everything more family-friendly
My first Burnout game was Burnout Dominator on the PS2. That game was hard cuz touching traffic meant instant crash but it was fun and really intense. And yeah I was really impressed by those graphics on the PS2.
Forza Horizon, all 3 of the Horizon series are pure gold. And if you like acarde racing, the Horizon series is AMAZING. I'd love to see you guys enjoy that.
Great video, love Burnout Revenge the most. My suggestion would be to play Bushido Blade (Square Enix really need to get on & remake this game). That is a weapon fighting game where button mashing won't work, as your character will be slaughtered within 5 secs. You could this with Soul Calibur & compare the two. It would be nice to see Reggie included in a Let's Play sometime.
Burnout 3 forever will be my all time favorite on the Xbox. I still have the same copy that I bought when it was out. I still play it to this day. Revenge is my 2nd favorite. Either play smash bros or Conker's bad fur day
I love that you're playing Original XBOX games!!! I suggest playing Arctic Thunder.. fun stuff and quick races!! Best when everything is unlocked for the weirder tracks
Hope to see more of these videos. Nice change of pace. Never played the Burnout series but it looks really fun! Are there any games for the PS3 or 360?
What other games would you like to see us play? Old or New... good or bad.
FlatOut series is equally brilliant in my opinion.
MetalJesusRocks
play some pc games too😉
Enslaved and talk about why nobody seems to think that Horizon zero dawn, looks like it could be Enslaved 2..or is it just me? =)
MetalJesusRocks tmnt the arcade game or tmnt turtles in time
I would liketosee you guys play the warriors on the ps2
Best racing series, EVER!
Amen!
Was the Burnout series available on PS1 and PS2?
All the first 4 are available on ps2 and Paradise is on ps3
Nice! My personal favorite is Burnout Paradise on the Xbox 360/Xbox One...the fact that it is now backwards compatible is great...Criterion shows AMAZING customer support by leaving the servers up!
The Nostalgia Factor dude i did not get it ...it was free on xbla .ughh!
Yep! I have the disc verison from my Xbox 360 and all the DLC, but I got the free digital version of the game so I don't have to insert the disc to play it...best of both worlds...my DLC and save progress carried over...
Played it online and there are still quite a few games available on it...
Damit ! Lol why? i should have seen review's i missed out
The Nostalgia Factor It even feels like it runs at 60fps on Xbox One! I may not get into it, but the music was great. I'm not sure if the games ran at 60fps on the PS2, Xbox or Xbox 360. Apparently 60fps was implemented more often around the PS2 era.

Thanks so much :)
fully agree, more of this.
Not another channel though - just stuff this one full. Nice one.
Burnout 3 is probably the best arcade racer of all time. Revenge was almost as good but I would choose 3 all day. Burnout Paradise was also crack when it came out. Open world Burnout! They need to make Burnout 4 for the new consoles.
Burnout 3 will always be the king of this series :)
Viggo The Impaler revenge for me :)
"You get to crash into shit" best description of the Burnout series i've ever heard :D
I am so glad you are making these "let's play" vids, MJR! Keep them up! And DMP is so nice to see again!
The Burnout series are the best!! Love 'em to death! :)))
Sad that gaming isn't a get together on the couch split screen as much as it was back then. Online multiplayer just doesn't feel that personal and fun. *bows head* Thank you Jesus for this lets play, and please continue giving us awesome content for our enjoyment, Amen.
And THANK YOU for continuing to watch :)
I really like how Metal Jesus is singing random songs while playing. It was super enjoyable to watch.
I'm a pretty random dude ;)
MetalJesusRocks I do the same thing while playing games. :)
I have Burnout 3 on PS2.
Same
I love you metal jesus
I was wondering and waiting for your burnout "lets play" One of the best and most fun racing series ever made!!
These were and still are great games. Well done Jason and Paul.
28:38 is hilarious. MJR gasps before wiping out and glancing at the camera haha
I like seeing you and DMP hanging out. You two are each other's yin and yang.
Burnout Revenge was the best. They all bring back memories of playing against NPCs back on the PS2.
Loving your channel man! It really brings me peace!
Someone on AtariAge had just asked for good PS2 games, and I recommended Burnout 3:Takedown; I just received Burnout Legends for PSP; AND THEN you come out with this _awesome_ Let's Play Burnout video! Three wins in a row!
Coincidence?
This channel is so professional. Can't get enoughhhh!
The 3rd game holds a very, very special place in my heart. I have so many good memories of playing with my friends back in South Africa. It's probably my all time favourite PS2 game, and my second favourite racing game of all time.
What's your favorite racing game of all time?
@@staircas3737 Gran Turismo 2.
So entertaining! I recently subscribed and have been binge watching all your vids. You have great variety! Burnout 3 is my favorite racing game of all time.
Drunken Master Paul is just the best. I'd love to see him in more upcoming videos.
I love the Burnout series, especially Burnout 3 Takedown and Burnout Revenge. The physics are real in terms of vehicle damage because its fun to see the cars get deformed and destroyed. Remember ditching lessons at college and hiding in a dark room with a load of mates and playing Burnout 3 all day. great times.
AWESOME JOB putting the DMP and MJR on the screens. No wondering who is who for 5 minutes in this video. Good on ya!
Glad you like that little touch..
Russell Smith TimeSplitters 4 and Burnout 4 would make current gen so good. Sadly both franchises seem to be dead.
This is is fucking awesome. Burnout is one of the only racing games i ever liked. Thanks guys.
Great video. Definitely want to see more for these. Burnout looks fun. I have Burnout Paradise on the Xbox 360 because it was a free download, and that is the first one I've ever played. I have an original Xbox, so I will definitely be on the look out for some of these. Especially Burnout Revenge.
Great video! I loved these games when they first came out. That last race got intense there at the end!
great mode choices for the three games! this video flew by
Metal Jesus, just thought I should let you know that all of these games support 16:9 widescreen and 480p accross PS2, Gamecube, and Xbox. I'd highly recommend playing them with those settings, you won't regret it!
Edit: I love watching you guys play my favorite game of all time Burnout 2: Point of Impact
Man these games had the best soundtracks and introduced me to a lot of bands that I still listen to today:
Atreyu
Bullet For My Valentine
Rise Against
Comeback Kid
Billy Talent
Finch
Thrice
Avenged Sevenfold
Funeral For A Friend
From First To Last
Motion City Soundtrack
Please do a Twisted Metal let's play with Drunken Master Paul
Paul Bacon yeah twisted metal is a good idea.
There were a bunch of "racing games with weapons" back in the day. And a lot of them are awesome!
reliving some childhood memories right here.
LOVE LOVE LOVE the Burnout series....Played the hell out of NFS 3 also ..on PC...
YES!!! More let's plays!!! don't care which game, just more let's plays!!!!!!
About bloody time you did another let's play lol keep this magnum opus up.
If only Criterion were hired to make a new Outrun, damn I miss Coast 2 Coast
Metal Jesus is at it again! Bringing his buddy DMP along for a fast and furious ride in today's "Let's Play Burnout" video!!! Hang on tight, blink and you'll BURNOUT!!!
These are the best Burnout games. The end! I hope we'll see soon a next gen Burnout soon. 😉 Great vid as always MJR!
Burnout is among my favorite racing series of all time! My personal favorite of the whole series was Legends on PSP although I remember hoping they'd port it to PS2 and they never did.
I just realized that DMP is essentially MJR's Robman
I call BIG SPOON!!
You really want to be back there with all the Taco Bell we eat?
Metal Jesus Rocks is one cool dude. Love his videos. Talk about a hardcore gamer. Like to visit his house and play some games with him.
Burnout Revenge is one of my all time favorite racing games!
i would love to meet MetakJesusRocks and play videogames with him. That would be great!
Great video. One for sure that is SUPER fun is Fusion Frenzy for the XBOX. Some of the mini games were boring but some were EPIC. I know yall would have a lot of fun.
More "lets play" videos please MJR 🤘🏻
MarkMCFC 10 he asked what games they should play
So obviously he wants to already.
The memories from high school watching this. Used to play the crash mode obsessively.
I actually have a review for Burnout Legends PSP on my channel if anyone wants to check it out... thanks :)
I played this with my cousin on my PS2 all the time! :D
We had chipped PS2 so we could play this in 60hz :D
Loved the Video MJR. Been watching you since I can remember...and Burnout 3 is my all time favorite racing game having put hundreds of hours on my ps2 when I was just a kid. Fun times too bad I had to grow up. Either way make more videos like this! And of course keep rocking \m/
Yes!!! Burnout!!! One of my favs, if possible please do a MSR/PGR lets play too :3
I have to agree with you Drunken Master Paul, dual video outputs are way overdue.
Excellent vid, brought back so many memories. Burnout 2 lived in my xbox for so long.
Cheers guys.
the release of a third video per week wouldnt be a bad idea, and these lets plays could be the theme... I think many actually enjoy them.
So freaking glad DMP is BACK!
so many good memories playing burnout 3!
Drunken Burnout Master Paul
Love this series. Fond memories of crash mode.
But revenge looks silly to me, the other cars bounce away like beach balls!
I know its not a simulator but i like the 3rd one more. I think its hilarious how beat up the cars get and you keep driving. Like with the doors hanging off lol
aaaahhhh so many fond memories with this series from playing burnout 3 with friends the playing burnout revenge with my wife later crash mode was the only mode she would play with me good times I wish they would make more of these it would be amazing!
I love this series. I still play Paradise when im bored
OMG Metal Jesus said a bad word!!
I really like Burnout Revenge!
Same i like crashbreaker available
I have Burnout 3: Takedown for PS2 and in any mode it is such a fun game!
I enjoyed this as I enjoyed the Burnout series. I have one of them that I got for the PSP that I used to play a lot.
Have you guys ever heard of Motorsiege? It was on PS2, and was sooooo much fun. It's a demolition derby game, and it has multiplayer features.
"That's ok, it doesn't matter... none of this matters." - DMP
metaljesus: so I'm on the bottom
drunken master paul: as usual!
*joke goes over metaljesus' head
I love drunken master paul
Thanks! He often just tunes me out. The MJR brain can only take so much awesome being crammed into it.
DMP is 50+? Didnt think he even passed 40...
666hammerheart Yeah I thought he was in his 40s blew my mind hearing he was 40 in 2004
Hey MJR!!!! We came here to see you ROCK not SUCK.... hehe... Good to see MDP back on two new videos! I missed him!
I won the last race. Not sure what the hell you are talking about ;)
i love Burnout 3 so much
DMP is in his 50's!!... Nice!... I hope I look that good when I reach that age...
the old pc fallouts! would love to see you guys play those consecutively...if for my raw nostalgia.
I seriously loved Burnout Revenge. I want to dust it off and do it again.
I dig the video, keep up the awesome work Jason!
007 Agent Under Fire for the Nintendo GameCube and XBOX would be a fun one to see you cause chaos on
Burnout 3 forever will be my all time favorite on the Xbox. I still have the same copy that I bought when it was out. I still play it to this day. Revenge is my 2nd favorite. Either play smash bros or Conker's bad fur day
I had Burnout 3 and it was so good. I couldn't finish the world tour because it got so hard once you unlocked the race car.
I love the Burnout games, but I lack the Burnout Revenge on Xbox 360.
Perfect game to play when drinking, well this, Timesplitters FP and EDF!!!
I love that you're playing Original XBOX games!!! I suggest playing Arctic Thunder.. fun stuff and quick races!! Best when everything is unlocked for the weirder tracks
Dude metal Jesus I just picked up this game from a thrift store for $6! So much fun man!
Hope to see more of these videos. Nice change of pace. Never played the Burnout series but it looks really fun! Are there any games for the PS3 or 360?
MJR, have you and DMP ever played PAIN? I feel as if you guys would LOVE it
Hey MJR I wanna see you and DMP play ARMS when you get a Switch, that would make a good let's play! :-)
Good Video, Jason and Paul.
Awesome! i've been playing this part of Burnout for the last two weeks on my PS2! nice choice!
Play Heavy Metal for the Dreamcast next. Very low key classic. I know you'll enjoy it.
