That was some nice looking smoked meats! 0.75 is a nice weight for a casual day out. Have you considered using a punch plate on top so the bigger rocks don't disrupt the cells? I've always wondered how much it helps, but the idea that nothing big touches the mat seems to make sense to me.
I love running unclassified, so much faster! Nice clean up you guys got too! For dream mat Id recommend a bit less water depth, and a bit more drop but hey looked like it worked pretty good!
It was tough. I was trying to get more drop but the water wasn't deep enough.. I could have built up the damn more but we spent hours just to get it where it is now. Big rivers are tough to damn up.. but you are correct. I have a smaller dream mat that's easier to setup

1” drop per foot of box! Those big rocks are just loosing gold in that box! You need to clean the box every hour into a tub of concentrate! That’s a great spot!
Yes sir I wanted more drop. But if I dropped it more then the end was building up because the water depth. I could have built the dam up more bit I already had a lot of time into the damn. .. the big dream mat doesn't need cleaned up as much. I've never found gold towards the bottom of the sluice. I would say I have over 90 percent capture rate. But you are correct sir. It never hurts to clean up a few times
I did put rocks over the tail end of it, but then it didn't have enough slope to get the material to run off. So I had to do what I had to do but you are absolutely right

If you ever setup a sluice like that again... put rocks under the bottom of it. The tail is way too deep. Yes most gold was probably caught up front.
