First time reaction. Let's go!!
First off, I love the vibe in the beginning. That guard "soloist" is absolutely getting everyone's attention!
Love the formation of the Sunflower petals that goes into the Opening set.
Wonderful Opener! Mostly clean all over the place!! Love the guard's placement right up at the front.
Flute/Piccolo duet is beautiful. Definitely gives me Sunflower vibes for whatever reason lol.
This music book was written very nice!
I will say that the spacing in some of these curves and lines could be worked on a bit. Now, I do know this was getting towards the end of the season so hopefully it was cleaner later at Nationals!
I love the flags at this part of the show, but they too had some dirt so at times it was distracting.
It's odd to see 1 person wearing a cape while everyone is not. I wonder why?

I love me a good Soprano Sax solo right on the 50. It's like "You all will witness me as I serenade you with my music and our sunflowers!!"
Girl! There are members with capes starting to pop up a lot more now!!!
The entire band has capes!! Except for a few that seem to not have one. That can be embarrassing lol
oooo this "ballad" hit is nice. I really like the fact that the guard is resembling the sky with their bright blue flags and then band is turning into the sun! (Might be wrong on that)

Not a percussion type person but the feature seems to pretty clean!

Clearly this is not just a pure happiness show with the turn in the events with this darker sound!!

Trombone solo was good! Though to be honest, I had no idea that there was one til I heard the high note lol
Again, spacing is a bit messy with the 12 person blocks.
Musically they are on fire!

THIS IS MY BAND!!! When we laid down, we put our hands up in the air and fingers spread apart and moved them back and forth to mimic sunflowers!!! Also, we call it the storm, because it's like the storm and then after it's like the rainbow and happiness, aka "Here comes the sun" after the storm!!
The part that you were asking what it was, as someone apart of the band is what we called the “storm” and that was the drum feature. and the next part was kind of the “calm after the storm”

I am assuming you mean BOA Grand Nationals, and that would be yes they did make Semi-Finals by placing 10th/33. They advanced to National Finals for the first time ever and placed 9th/12!
