This bugs me. Why do you have to go to court to make someone do something the law already says that person must abide by. For example. I commit a crime right in Front of a cop....Police officer says ‘ your under arrest” me “ you can’t arrest me unless you prove in court you have the power to do that. Cop tackles me puts me in cuffs and makes sure I don’t hit my head when he puts me in a squad car.

Leonard Taylor in Australia we have the same system as the British. If our Prime Minister receives a no confidence vote from his party, he can be replaced at any time immediately. Celtica It was a shock to a lot of us. To be honest, the Democrats nominated the most unpopular candidate. Half of our country didn’t vote in protest. It was a childish thing to do but it happened. Even though she eventually won the popular vote, our outdated electoral college made trump the winner. I believe that it should be one person, one vote, and the winner should be whomever gets the most votes. Thank you for your support. America is in very scary times.

Let's say a store is robbed at 8:30 on Sat and I'm arrested and charged. Maybe I even look like the thief in a surveillance video. However, I can easily show I couldn't possibly be involved by presenting a receipt from a restaurant 50 miles from the scene. I can also call my buddy who will swear under oath that we had dinner together from 8 to 9 that evening. Why would I block my friend from giving a statement to the police? Why would I go to court to block the waiter from testifying? Why would I refuse to show my credit card receipt with the time & date?

Thank you, MSNBC. I've learned more about being a United States Citizen by following you in a short period of time so I've suggested it to my family. The President seems to lack basic laws understanding for the protection of the country and it's interest. It took me an 8 hour briefing while in the military to understand the value in it. Yes, my personal interest was my priority; until, I experienced altered attitudes against my buddies. Sadly, the Trump fashion goes against my understanding of what America is. My biases for his presidency is emboldened. This alone does not allow me to trust his policies and enforcement. It resembles and follows that of the communist's countries. The U.S.A's structures staining the Constitution. We need a LEADER.

The best book about the 45 administration I’ve read is one by Phil Rucker and Carol Leoning - A Very Stable Genius. The authors are WaPo writers and have a reputation around DC for fair dealing. They got people to talk about things they wouldn’t talk to others about. Yes, there’s a lot of info we already knew BUT they got background information nobody else got. I truly CANNOT recommend those book more highly.
If I have criminal or civil matters in the court can I ask the court that I don't need witness or evidence at my hearing? Or does the courts have two sets of laws?

Why didn't the House subpoena the witnesses they wanted when it was in their house? Now they are asking the Senate to do this for them when it's NOT the Senate's job?

If the witnesses refused the subpoena, the House could take it to the courts for judicial review where they would make a decision, then the subpoena would be reissued. And if they refused this time a bench warrant would be issued for their arrest. It almost appears The House wants the Senate to do their job for them?

They tried to classify "the phone call" by moving it to the secure server. But the classification argument fails because they released it to the public.
The great thing in all of this is that it brings attention to all the loopholes there is in these areas and the Congress needs to do some real work and make laws to address these areas of national security. Get to Work Congress.

Is there any precedent for blocking a testimonial, anywhere, with the excuse that the witness knows classified information and *might* reveal it when questioned? It is the *information* that is classified, not the persons who know it...
