With the C7 entering its long of tooth 5th MY, it won't break my heart if I choose to wait for the C8 to order a new one.
Why don't you sell more build-to-order? Why is the U.S. only 5% build-to-order whereas Europe is 50%? Why do chevy dealers make me pay a deposit for a build-to-order when I am at their mercy to get a refund if it doesn't work out? Why make the consumer pay 10% higher MSRP to cover dealership overhead and interest for prebuilt cars that don't match what the consumer wants? Chevy and the dealers would rather build generically configured cars that rot on the lot....I don't get it.
I must really love the C7. Stingray Z51 right rear trail arm dislocated and we crashed. Factory neglect and dealer no check. Collectors #416 drive shaft in bell housing failures 3 times. GM buy back what did I do with the money. Hell yes ha a Z06 now awaits a perfect life with 250 miles so far. So now I have three invites to see Ron Fellows. He will be glad to see me finally as I bought a c4 pace car here in Daytona with him circling damn car pulled to the right. Got a C6 later no problems. Best ever owned was my C5 Z06 thanks to DARYL.
There is a finite number of people shopping for $50K+ RWD 2 seater sports cars.
I would love to order one really. How do we order 2018 Corvette? We must go through dealers? Is it possible Chevy offer online order like Tesla, everyone pays one price and done with it, no more BS price jack up by dealers and price negotiation take hours?
We are four models years in with the 18's launching in June with no major changes. I would not expect sales to do anything but continue to fall. The whole car industry is seeing declining sales.
what happened with the other video where they talked about the race with the other-worldly traffic jam on the last lap?
We old guys have a very hard time getting out of a low seated car.

Actually, 5+ model years and counting (2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018)... GM has not given anyone a reason to upgrade.
Why don't you sell Corvettes through Amazon like Fiat does?
Make more manual transmissions. Only 1 in 15 cars has manual transmissions at the 12 chevy dealers near me. Make more manual transmissions..

It solely depends on how many people what them.
@Bass: I test drove both Corvette and Porsche Cayman in auto and manual and the manual is 10x more fun.
@Bass: a sports car with auto transmission is like beer without alcohol... just makes you pee.
Side mirrors should have blinkers for safety
Disappointing in the changes this year (again). The navigation system needs to be thrown out and replaced. The POIs are laughingly out of date, it's slow, cumbersome to zoom (super laggy), and worse than the free maps on my phone. The center console is slow to boot up, even for the backup camera -- often by the time it is booted up and it is showing me what is behind me, I've already backed up and I'm going forward again! The car could really use convex mirrors (I have aftermarket ones myself), side lane cameras like the Honda Civic has (a $19k car), or the lane next to you isn't empty warning really should be available in 2018.
Not that I expected it, but it is about time the corvette got AWD, and even maybe electric motor assist (+200/250 HP) would be nice.

Why are chevy dealers in Phoenix, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles so greedy and don't discount and lie and play bait-and-switch games? I've never had this problem with Toyota dealers.
No more boring monochrome colors (white, silver, gray, dark gray, black). I'd like to see blue like Porsche Miami, Mustang grabba blue.
Corvette is too expensive. Base trim should be around $45k, not $55k. chevy dealers in AZ don't want to discount even though the 2017 are now 1 year old and have depreciated 1 year. Plus, dealers aren't ordering a manual transmission which I want. 9 out of 10 are automatic transmission. Dealers also aren't ordering a base stingray with the performance exhaust that I want either. Dealers order mostly boring monochrome colors black/gray/silver/white.
Some Las Vegas dealers still have 2016 Corvettes that they tried to sell me at 13% off...laughable...I said that would need 25% off before I buy a 2 year old car.
Instead, I'm looking forward to the exciting 2018 Toyota Supra coming out this Fall 2017.
The car is no longer new and fresh, and it is in a declining overall market.
