He's describing my exact feelings about my Boxster. I don't care that it's not the fastest one. It is so much fun to drive, and that is the only reason to drive a sports car. If fun wasn't a requirement, we'd all be driving Leafs.
Jason, I love you and everything that you do, yeah sure Hagerty is cool, Motortrend is cool, but you YOU are the coolest. I'm a huge fan of all your work and seeing you finally being able to post your work here is amazing as that was literally the only reason I was still subscribed to MT on demand, I hope your TH-cam takes off enough for you to maybe think about making your own content. You're amazing and I hope you never feel tied down to companies and brands to get your opinions heard and cherished. We love you you professional idiot!
I couldn't agree more. Jason-You put out some of the most entertaining, thought provoking content in my car world. We appreciate all you do and how you do it. Bravah!
He reminds me of Ryan Reynolds in Deadpool. The comedic approach is similar. But hands down one of my favorite youtubers to watch. I can watch these car videos back to back.
Thanks for uploading these, used to watch them every week and I remember watching this one in particular. Was kinda sad when mt took down all of them because I really wanted to revisit your old episodes, you’re the best car journalist hands down
I still retain that that 6.0L V12 is the greatest engine soundtrack to ever grace the roads, it is orgasmic to listen to. I agree also that it's entirely a car that is about the experience and the FUN of driving. When you put your foot down and go for it, because of it's simplicity, it just charms and makes you feel incredibly special. so glad to be able to find and re-watch this after years since it was released.
This review is great, because it also defines the difference between performance and sport, a car to out perform competition, and a car to offer the exhilaration of maneuvering on a road obstacle
I would never get bored of watching this video with that Aston. That's my dream car, and Jason sliding it, racing it on the track and the dry lake was pure perfection.
This intro and the one with the LC500 are my favourite ones. I was looking for them for a long time since they were removed but now they're back! Just Amazing sound!
So funny that you mention the Miata as a reference to having "fun while driving" because it probably is the best sports car you can buy today, that you can actually have fun with on normal roads, every day! When going shopping, commuting to work or just on your way to a nice coffee place (i.e. coffee run). If I had the money, I would gladly go for the AM Vantage, but for now, I'll have to settle for my ND2 MX-5! Cheers man, I have come back so many times for this video, just because it is like the sort of definition of FUN driving. Kudos Mr. Cammisa! ❤
Jason cammina is the hero we need and don't deserve, lucky us we listen to him even if we are broke or terrible drivers we know he is someone who understands cars, and pulls out from them the best they can offer even more probably.
Nobody even pars with Jason's reviewing, and not only for his jokes and purist nature, but he openly defies what trends are trying to convince us with. As you watch you laugh, you get info, and be glad that someone, somewhere actually cares about driving, not catalogues.
I just took delivery of a 2015 Rapide S...This video inspired me back in the day to learn more about AM and to discover the Rapide! When kids are older, I might trade in for this Vantage. It's absolutely the right way to do a sports car!
My fav car too, Jason, and I say this having been fortunate to own several top line Porsches and Ferraris. Big fan of your work - also fun & full of wit, mixed with expert knowledge and the sharing of just about the right level of the nerdy stuff petrolheads like. All the best, mate.
My favorite journalist of all time, with one of my favorite brands of all. How the hell could anyone ever go wrong with an Aston Martin, especially a V12 with a Manual. Thank you my friend
Insane, amazing, ridiculous, over the top, powerful, heart pounding and the most powerful out of body experience one can have on four wheels!!! The Vantage is amazing and only Jason has the passion to relay the message!!!
OOOOOOHHHHHHH Jason THANK YOUUUU!!!!! You returned the smile on my face when watching a car show, first time after Top Gear that I'm enjoying watching car show.
i remembered watching this legendary shift at 9:09 like 100 time, i really considered subscribe to MT to watch this episode in particular, thank you for the upload
One of the few automotive journalists who understands that it's the feeling a car gives the driver. And the more the driver has to work, the better the feeling.
Man, I just love you and your content. You are my inspiration, You're the only reason I love cars so much. You are a star and I hope the world realise that you are one of the greatest journalist of all time.
Look, I dont know whether this is actual Jason's channel or not but I'm literally in tears watching these episodes again. So just wanna say thank you. Much love. ❤❤
Found you on hagerty and just going back in time with all of your videos, I can’t stop😅 I like a lot of auto journalists, and you’re definitely near/at the top along with carwow and throttle house. Such a great distraction from everything, perfect for my breaks at work and let’s be honest.. at work.. keep it up
Thank you for posting this! I remember seeing this video some years ago and this somehow always lingered in the back of my mind. Personally I think this is one of your best reviews. Also kudos to the producing/camera work/music! Cheers
Jason nails another video thank you Jason give this man a damn raise people he is the one I want to see on MotorTrend he is the only host I care for thanks again Jason you’re fantastic my friend
"BAD GERMAN!" I'm gonna be laughing at that one for a while. It's not always that Jason's cracked sense of humor aligns so well with my cracked sense of humor.
What great video. Completely agree about the ABSOLUTE IRRELEVANCE of 0-60, top speed, lap times yada yada. I have an e12 m535i with a dogleg 5 speed, skinny tyres and plenty of power and it’s awesome. Thanks for uploading as most haven’t seen these in the UK 🇬🇧
Vintage Cammisa. He wasn't evenin his prime yet! I almost bought a V12 Vantage, but went with a R8 V10 w/ gated manual instead. I still lust for this generation Vantage V8/V12.
This is the most interesting car reviewer I have seen after Jeremy Clarkson, very original and lively . I am definitely seeing more of his reviews after this. 👍👍
Super video, I could watch these videos for days on end. You make the carworld a better place! Pure passion for cars. And a great sense of humor. I cant wait till the next one.
Top Gear levels cinematography I had no IDEA you loved the V8 Vantage so much. If I recall one of your crew eventually got one and that had a story there. Interesting! The legend...brought up in every single Cammisa-Farah podcast Curious if you regret not getting one
I bought one 2 years ago (used with 45 k miles) it's such an awesome thing, even though its been blowing holes in my pockets, the sound, the feedback, the way it looks, the way it smells, alongside everything you touch on the inside, a truly special experience that engages all senses. 0 regrets.
6:30 The thing is, the Porsche 911 was always that. When the 911 came out in 1964, nobody who drove it talked about the "driving experience," they talked about how it was leaps and bounds ahead of the 356, which was already the benchmark sportscar of the day. The Porsche 911 then remained really at the forefront of sportscar technology (well until the 964/993 when that whole air cooled thing was aging, but the 996 set that straight). The thing is that older cars were just inherently more involving. They weren't designed around a driving experience, they were designed to go fast with the best technology of their day, and as a result, were more involving not by design, but by necessity. Modern sportscars, the 911 for example, do the same. They take advantage of the most modern tech available with the goal of creating a good sportscar. The end result isn't different due to any change in design philosophy, just changes in the ingredients list. EDIT: And just to be clear, I'm not saying that's a good thing, its just what it is. There's a reason I drive a 996 with a cable throttle and no drivers aid other than ABS and fully defeatable TC (which you had to have to get an LSD on a 996).
I discovered you just last year, thanks to Hagerty. All I have to say is your presentation, review, style, everything is great and I hope you will continue creating content forever. Motortrend, Hagerty or whatever, you are the magnet that attracts people like me craving rational content which is entertaining as well in today's world of tik-tok. Thank you for posting these to your channel. (BTW, love your subtitles on some of your Hagerty videos). ❤️
Fun video i had one of these and have gone back to the V8s as it steers better with less weight up front, particularly if you chase mountain roads not freeways. Fun cars and sexy to look at.
Vintage Cammisa is the only TH-cam content that's up to par with Hagerty Cammisa.
And 5 minute top gear clips from 15 years ago
True Dat Homie
Vantage Cammisa
What about issimi cammisa?
"It's not about speed, it's fun." Wise words that hurt the feelings of every bench racer.
He's describing my exact feelings about my Boxster. I don't care that it's not the fastest one. It is so much fun to drive, and that is the only reason to drive a sports car. If fun wasn't a requirement, we'd all be driving Leafs.

I agree
Same!!
هلا بالشباب ، تحسون جيسون فيه عرق عربي ولا ؟ من آل خميسه
Yes! I Only watched Motor Trend for Camissa!
Why did MT take them down?
Always wondered what a v12 Aston was like in the dirt. Thank you
Perhaps the inspiration for the DBX…🤣

“So you want a slow sports car?” -German camera guy
I laughed.
The most German comment ever.
"Bad German!!"
i grew up thinking Germans/EU's laughed at americans for using automatics.
I’ve seen thousands of car presentations. This might be THE BEST presentation I EVER SEEN. Thank you Jason.
This is somewhere between Hagerty Revelations and Icons. It's amazing Jason was delivering this level of quality all those years ago.
This review is great, because it also defines the difference between performance and sport, a car to out perform competition, and a car to offer the exhilaration of maneuvering on a road obstacle
7:30 you can see how proud he is of that transition deservedly so
I would never get bored of watching this video with that Aston. That's my dream car, and Jason sliding it, racing it on the track and the dry lake was pure perfection.
If this is not THE best car review in history, it is on the podium. Medalist for sure.
It's so good, it's histerical.
This intro and the one with the LC500 are my favourite ones. I was looking for them for a long time since they were removed but now they're back! Just Amazing sound!

This was my favorite video from motor trend, and I always was sad I didn't download it before it got taken down.
I'm so thankful for this.
Jason cammina is the hero we need and don't deserve, lucky us we listen to him even if we are broke or terrible drivers we know he is someone who understands cars, and pulls out from them the best they can offer even more probably.
Jason, your thoughts. I cant ever be more agree with someone. Amazing, thank you.
Thanks for saving these episodes from motortrend's pay wall.
YES! Finally my favorite Ignition episode is back online, thank you Jason - for the upload AND the awesome review!
Thank you so much for re-posting this video. The intro is the reason I bought my V8 Vantage.
wow........watching it roost all that dirt on that dry lake bed gives me goosebumps
Nobody even pars with Jason's reviewing, and not only for his jokes and purist nature, but he openly defies what trends are trying to convince us with. As you watch you laugh, you get info, and be glad that someone, somewhere actually cares about driving, not catalogues.
I'm going to lose my marriage if you keep publishing content this often, this good ...
I just took delivery of a 2015 Rapide S...This video inspired me back in the day to learn more about AM and to discover the Rapide! When kids are older, I might trade in for this Vantage. It's absolutely the right way to do a sports car!
I legit just binge watched all of the other videos, thanks for uploading another one just in time! :D
Is Cammisa building his own channel up to eventually start posting his own new original content on it? Like Chris Harris on cars back in the day.
No. He has a budget with Hagerty.
These are old ignition episodes, this is one of my all time favorites
Man! You are the only automotive journalist that non car people actually like to listen to. No wonder why that is
My fav car too, Jason, and I say this having been fortunate to own several top line Porsches and Ferraris. Big fan of your work - also fun & full of wit, mixed with expert knowledge and the sharing of just about the right level of the nerdy stuff petrolheads like. All the best, mate.
These old school uploads have been great thanks Jason. Keep uploading 💪💯
I searched for this particular video a lot times changing search terms. Finally i see it. Love your stuff. Thank you.
I love your reviews and humour and thank you for putting extra anecdotes in the description they are a blast to read
Jason the message behind this video rings so true. Chasing numbers will never replace feel and a manual
Jason is the goat of car reviewers
My favorite journalist of all time, with one of my favorite brands of all. How the hell could anyone ever go wrong with an Aston Martin, especially a V12 with a Manual. Thank you my friend
Insane, amazing, ridiculous, over the top, powerful, heart pounding and the most powerful out of body experience one can have on four wheels!!! The Vantage is amazing and only Jason has the passion to relay the message!!!
Fast forward a few years, and we just got the new Vantage V12, the last one ever, with turbos and no manual.
I’ve been searching this video for years now! So happy to see it again
I remember this episode when it first dropped. Still my favorite
Oh lord, i realy missed these. Please keep them online! That scream of the v12 with the music on it, oscar worthy
This is the BEST presentation of a car I’ve ever seen. Period. And I’ve see thounsands of them. You are my favorite presenter. Period.
One of the few automotive journalists who understands that it's the feeling a car gives the driver. And the more the driver has to work, the better the feeling.
Quite simply the best person to go to watch automotive content. The car community loves you Jason! ❤️
Man, I just love you and your content. You are my inspiration, You're the only reason I love cars so much. You are a star and I hope the world realise that you are one of the greatest journalist of all time.
3:38 “ I have a German camera man”🤣🤣💀
I liked the glorious V12 sound all through the review. Thank you for not messing it up with music.

The best script and copy of the car world 👏👏👏
Thank you so much for uploading particularly this Vantage episode, I've searched for this video many times. this is the best car & best review.

This is still one of your best and most beautiful films..it stands true till the end of time. Joy, not 0-60.

Jason you are right, Porsche are more concerned about numbers than driving pleasure . This Aston is Awesome
Brilliant. Keep bringing up the cars we should be remembering at this point of massive changes in the automotive industry!
Loved watching these. Jason is a absolute gift to the automotive industry.
I love cars... but I will never love cars the way that Jason loves cars. Inspiring

The reason I bought mine. Glad to see the clips up again. Much love J
I was waiting for this one patiently for so long. It gave me a dream and then motor trend took it away. Finally it’s back. Thanks Jason

Best car presenter out there. Period.
Vintage Cammisa. He wasn't evenin his prime yet!

I sort of can't believe Im watching these stuff for free on you tube
This is possibly the best and most fun car demo video ever! Don't make me get the TASER!!! 😂🚘 I want one of these now.
This video should be required viewing for every horsepower happy wingnut with a car-related TH-cam channel.
Please upload the Chevy SS episode. Hope your TH-cam channel takes off. Love your reviews. PLEASE keep uploading everyday. 🙏🏼❤
You got your wish!
Keep 'em coming, Jason: these are 1MM vids in no time.
Top Gear levels cinematography
I had no IDEA you loved the V8 Vantage so much. If I recall one of your crew eventually got one and that had a story there. Interesting!

This is fantastic work. Right up there with the best of Clarkson May Hammond era Top Gear UK.
I left MotorTrend when Jason did. There was a certain flare and enthusiasm that was lacking since.
Jason Cammisa cures my depression.
you DESERVE millions of subcribers, BEST content EVER!
Jason should be the only person reviewing cars.
