    Just spent 19 days in Japan. Tokyo-Kyoto-Osaka-Nara-Himeji-Hiroshima-Miyajima-Nikko-Tokyo.
    Best part of the visit were the days we spent outside of the big cities (Kamakura, Nikko, Miyajima, Mount Takao...). I would skip the big cities if i went again and spend my time in the smaller towns and nature (Nikko was so so beautiful). While the cities are just..meh, they are big and that's that. I guess you can check out Tokyo fir a couple days but you can easily skip Osaka then. There is so much more to see than the most popular touristic destinations, which are way too crowded to really enjoy (like the bamboo grove west of Kyoto - there is a temple with 1200 monk statues about 20minutes of walking from the grove - completely devoid of turists with a small and beautiful bamboo grove).

    Hi there! Great video. Looks like you’re traveling around quite a bit. I’m going in October and wondered if you could help out with some questions. How was it with the luggage? I’ve heard different thoughts about how much luggage to bring and the difficulty of taking it onboard the trains. Did you have any problems or tips for when traveling all through Japan? And would you recommend a backpacker bag in stead of suitcases?

    • @tyatorashiro
      @tyatorashiro ปีที่แล้ว

      Welcome to Japan. Most public institutions have escalators and elevators, so even suitcases shouldn't be too difficult. In the city, backpacks may feel a little strange. I would definitely recommend a suitcase. There are coin lockers at the station, so I think it would be nice to put your big luggage in there and enjoy a walk. In big cities you can use trains. The train lines in Tokyo are a bit confusing. If you have any trouble, please ask me. Japanese people are not good at speaking English, but I am willing to help, so please speak slowly. Please come to Yokohama too. I hope you have a pleasant trip.

      Hey Carolin! We're about to head back there for a month so will check out some of the winter destinations during this time. For summer you could check out some of the islands down south like Okinawa! 4 weeks will give you plenty of time to enjoy Japan!

    So much to see!..I believe there is also a Cat Island somewhere...hehe..very much a cat person..but the bunnies are adorable!....Out of interest how much would you think roughly a decent 3 week trip around Japan would cost?..Not including flights...just general spending...food, travel, accommodation.(budgetish accom)..Thanks.

    • @TwosomeTravellers
      @TwosomeTravellers  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh wow! A cat island, I'm there haha. That is super difficult to answer to be honest, so many varying factors, what city you travel to, if you get a JR pass, if you're eating out etc etc. Perhaps we could look to put something together and go through specifically what our costs were if that would be helpful

      @@TwosomeTravellers How ever nice that would be..as I really have no travel skills...I fly out from UK on the 4th Jan...arriving the 5th...I am staying in Tokyo till the 12th..I have booked 3 hotels..so am moving about..Would probably have been easier to book 1 hotel to safe on the moving from 1 to the next (told you I had no skills)..Staying in Shibuya, then down towards the bay, then up Ueno...I have not booked any more hotels..so I still have from the 12th to the 25th to cover....have top be back in Tokyo to catch flight home...I am hoping to head as far south as Kagoshima, then Kumamoto, then Hiroshima, then Osaka, then Kyoto and back to Tokyo...Now i know it will be tight to take in all these plays...As in staying for just 1 day in each place...the rest will be traveling by train...Thing is I feel I will be pushing it as most of the time I will be traveliong rather than seeing anything...And I was hoping to be back in Tokyo for at least 2 more days before I leave..This is the only time I'kk ever get to Japan..I can't see it happening again.I just wont have the money..But I so want to see these places..But I feel I will have to cut something out..As In I feel I'd like 2 days in Kyoto rather than just one day..which means I'd have to cut out one of the others...And I am running out of time to get things booked.....Its all done..flights, rail pass, etc..and the htels already booked.....But its the rest...Ho Hum!

    good video, all I keep being surprised about is why so many nationalities have such difficulties in saying stuff remotely right. Ryokan = Rjokan. Not Ry-okan. Just an example that could've been easily fixed with probably even a google translate pronunciation. Also a bit of a shame that this isn't actually up-to-date content and just recycled from 2 years ago, but still cool

    i used to have a wish to go in japan. not anymore. slavery companies, demanding arrogant cold people who only want to hear fluent japanese and who can manipulate us using fake kindnss, common tiny apparts, overcrowded places, tyrannic laws, earthquakes, expensiver services... more cons than pros. coming in japan become complicated. another hell on earth. for the ones who arent agree , explain yourselves. when i ask question , reply me please.
