Quite honestly, that speech at the end is one of the best speeches about war and PTSD ever put to film. Underrated film.
As a veteran, I've sat with friends having their "nothing is over" moment, and had my own. It's incredible how well and accurately Stallone portrayed it. It felt very familiar to me.
The “I don’t talk to anybody” is a deep cutting line
Idont think its underrated it literally one of his most popular films that made his career
It was the first main stream Hollywood movie to depict what we now call PTSD.
Sly deserves a lot of credit for that scene, he took his time talking to Vets and put a bit of all of them in that final scene, but the credit he deserves is for fighting the system which wanted Rambo to die in that scene. Im no Vet so i count talk on anyone's behalf, but i have read countless stories of how much this movie helped Vets.
"Like, they're heroes until you don't want them to be heroes anymore"
As a Marine Corps veteran, I think she nailed it in that one sentence. Bravo, Hannah. Bravo!
Exactly. She hit it right on the head all the way through the fucking board.
It's like the fantasy story element of 'survive long enough as a hero, you'll end up becoming the villain', usually not because YOU do something wrong, but because the people turns against you.
You live long enough to see yourself become the villain...luckily we had changed that but now people are reverting back because history repeats.
The way we treat our veterans in the US, especially our Vietnam vets, is criminal. They deserved so much better. To all veterans, new and old, thank you for your service. Your blood and sacrifices are the reason our country remains free.
It’s also criminal when their lives are misspent by politicians to try to keep other countries from being free, as happened in Vietnam
To be fair it has gotten a lot better. Almost everyone respects veterans now however they definitely need more resources for mental health care.
Five Finger Death Punch is on top of that topic in "Wrong side of heaven".
@@VGK702 This movie had a lot to do with that...
@@VGK702 It really hasn't. The VA is a joke, and it's all an act like they give a damn. When they claim they do anything for soldiers, it's around election season so someone can scrape a few votes and keep a title.
Haha i love when Hannah gets mad at Ash for being theoretically married to "Julie" in this 1980's era 😅
😂😂😂 she’s still asks me about it
I laughed pretty hard at that 🤣
Me too, I love their banter and fighting, they have great chemistry
Worth a second comment, as a veteran I sincerely appreciate both of your reaction to the final scene. War is nothing to be glorified or pursued for vanitys sake and stallone really brings out the residual pain and anguish of war so many soldiers throughout history have had to bear until their days came to an end.
If more of us valued love, friendship, and compassion over power, glory, and gain, the world would be a much merrier place for us all.
Mate we love you, thank you ❤️
Thanks for your service, sir. People like you are the reason this was such a great nation. God bless you in all that you do.

And you're just a troll trying to start some shit with someone who fought for your freedom and has PTSD from his experiences in the war he was in. He has to live with those monsters waking him up in a pool of sweat every night while you sleep comfortably and get to judge him and criticize him from afar.
I love that final quote from the Hobbit, but truer words were never spoken.
Well said. Too many leaders now call for war without standing themselves in the front lines. It's easy when it's someone else or someone else's kid. Often everyone loses except the few at the top.
This is why this film stands alone from the action mindless flicks the sequels would become. This tackled PTSD and made it very real. At the end your watching a peak male physical specimen utterly broken. Amazing acting.
Anyone who claims that Sylvester Stallone can't act needs to watch this movie.
Also, "First Blood" is barely even an action movie. It's more of a character study and that's what makes it so great. I love it.
Even in the Rocky movies you can see him shine in some scenes, particularly his hallway scenes with Mick in 1 and 2.
@@clevelandcbi Love that movie. Shout out to Robert Patrick (The T-1000 from T2) as well. Ash needs a recommend.
He's an all around talented filmmaker.
Other than Bullet to the Head I don't think he's ever made a BAD movie.
@@bad-people6510 well, I HATED Judge Dredd when it came out. I knew a little about the character though. It was a better movie then it was a Dredd movie. And not even close to the Urban version. But I can enjoy it a little now as a mindless action movie.
Will never be a classed as a great actor for his skills and believability, is however one of the biggest action hero stars of all time and also creator of Rocky and Rambo
36:15 is such a strong moment in the movie. The way Trautman hesitates as he places a hand on Rambo's shoulder and the expression on his face - it's clear that he has never seen Rambo like this before. He likely had forgotten that Rambo is just a human being, with complex emotions - rather than simply being the perfect killing machine.
A childhood favorite of mine. It's easy to forget that Rambo didn't kill a single person in this movie. I was really touched by Hannah's reaction towards the end.
Well technically, he directly caused the death from the helicopter but considering his situation, I'd say it was "incidental" at best...
@@sticky4158 if a death occuires when some is committing a felony, I think that's automatically 3rd degree murder. Rambo assaulting the police probably counts. King Shit cop regardless.
@@sticky4158 if you're gonna be pedantic about it, I'd say the pilot is more responsible than Rambo.
Read the book. He kills everybody.
@@JB-qj4cu The pilot wasn't responsible at all. He warned the other cop about not getting out of his harness and told him they were there just to be spotters.

First blood is a great movie, and more deep than any of the other Rambo. Also "Julie wants me back home, she made me a apple pie" "who's Julie" 😂😂😂😂😂
Don’t you start 😂
Man that Julie part had me cracking up, Ash is out here catching bullets for imaginary women 😂😂😂
That endings really hit different after I became a veteran. At the age of 21 when i got out i had deployed, been in combat, maintained and operated incredibly expensive and complex equipment, and been responsible for at least $8mil of arms room and B vault equipment. Come back to the real world and couldn’t even get a good blue collar job at first because I didn’t have enough “experience”
5:29 Because Teasel was a Korean War veteran and he feels like his generation was a generation of forgotten warriors. So he resents Vietnam veterans. The book goes into WAAAAAAY more depth with his character. He's arguably the protagonist in it.
That's interesting that adds more to the character for me.
If this detail was put into the film instead of the various useless lines they gave Stallone, perhaps he wouldn't have gotten pissed off about it...
When by all rights, he shouldn't be. Teasle, that is. The book really didn't do 'nam vets any justice and that was illustrated clearly with Rambo.
Stallone turned the character of rambo into a more humane confused individual. Stallone knew it wouldn't of worked if he wouldve brought the same rambo character out of the book onto the screen. Stallone's version worked perfectly if u ask me.
@@WRILLI4M They tried a very subtle (so subtle everybody misses it) "show don't tell" with Teasle's veteran status as a Korean War vet. In the scene where he goes and sits behind his desk in his office you can just barely see a shadow box with several awards including a Silver Star and a Purple Heart displayed. So they did put it in the film, but it was super easy to miss that detail. Also they cut a TON of dialogue from the movie. Like an hour's worth of truly useless talking to the audience from what I've heard.
Rambo reverts back to training. He blows up the gas station as a diversion, then runs to the gun store. By mixing the ammo into a pile before setting it all on fire, he creates the sounds of a gunfight. Now there are two diversions running, covering his assault on the main police station. Tactics.
Yeah! We know. We saw it too. Wtf!
"You're a man and all you do is complain." Mate, Hannah had me dying after that chirp 😭

Rambo did such a good job of portraying what a vet goes through. Everyone turned against them when they weren't there and experienced what they did. I bet you 10 to 1 all the people talking mess about them wouldn't last 5 minutes going through what they had to to survive and come home just to be treated as garbage. Every time I see or hear someone say they are a vietnam vet, I make sure to let them know that at least 1 person thanks them for their service and willing to speak with them about it if they want to although most of them don't. I've had old men cry to me saying that I was the first to ever thank them after all that time.
Hannah can't handle a whiff of injustice. This reaction was a no-brainer.
Hannah is a sweetheart, oh my goodness. Her reaction to the end had me emotional. Amazing movie!

This is for Hannah. I'm with you in that end scene. You're reaction is my reaction exactly. I teared up a bit myself just watching the clip of the scene and you reacting to it. Stallone's performance is so flawless in that scene because it instantly takes your emotions to what his character is going through as if you experienced it yourself. Hanna's reaction was what the director and producers were going for. Shortly after this film came out, due to immense pressure from the public, the US government opened a lot of the VA services to Vietnam vets who had previously been denied help or assistance
Saw this and immediately clicked! A stand alone movie that should have gotten A LOT more recognition! Much love.
People in the 80s use to give Stallone shit for the final scene where he cries and at me for liking that part. They were like "How bad was his acting?" and they use to crap on about how they couldn't understand him and I was like "That's the point." But I knew what he said word for word.
Stallone has an Golden Globe win, and several Oscar nominations, which puts him miles above every other "action hero" as an actor, and above most dramatic ones as well. The guy is just criminally underrated, even though he is hugely successful
He won an Oscar for Rocky as well.
He should have won the Oscar for his acting in Creed.
I think Stallone gets underrated as an actor because (1) people back in the day conflated him with his character in Rocky; (2) as a result of that and the way he talks, Stallone is caricatured as dumb when he clearly isn't; and (3) he did a bunch of big, dumb action movies during the 80s heyday of big, dumb action movies and the actors who did those movies weren't considered top shelf (kind of like how being a TV actor used to be considered less respectable and legit than being a movie actor and doing commercials was so shameful most A-listers would only do them in Japan where American audiences would never see them).
While it's true that some of his big, dumb action roles were big and dumb, if you go back to movies like "First Blood" and "Rocky," you see that Stallone can really act. Granted, I don't think he could believably play a character like a scientist or doctor or something - he's not one of those "disappearing into a role" kind of actors - but in certain types of roles that fit his look and sound, he kills it. And let's not forget that he wrote "Rocky" as well as acted in it (and received the Oscar nom for Best Original Screenplay in addition to his Best Actor nod) so, y'know, man's not a dummy despite what stand-up comedians and cartoon VO actors picking the low-hanging fruit of a Sylvester Stallone impression might have you believe.
9:21 - There is a little known court case on the books where it is legal to resist an unlawful arrest, even to the point of taking an officers life...
I just absolutely love Hannah!!!! She makes my day with her personality and her true heart felt reactions
That’s my girl 😍
She's the coolest. Crying for Rambo and Terminator... she's just pure empathy.
Her accent is so cute :)
"Julie just made me an apple pie" that and Hannah's reaction made me laugh so much xD
Awww, Hannah, I had stomach cramp for days from crying when I first saw this. Who knew such a macho action film could be so heartbreaking?! The fact that everyone treated those Vets so abhorrently and didn't put the blame on the US Government for waging that phoney war will always make me so angry.
Great reaction you two💖💖
Appreciate you ❤️
6:09 -- Rambo's knife was made by legendary bladesmith Gil Hibben.. And yes, all his creations are surgically sharp.
Awwww, Hannah crying was so heartfelt. Another great reaction to an awesome movie. Loved it when it came out and still get a buzz when I watch it all these years later. I hope you're gonna do the rest. I think Hannah would love Rocky Ash as both characters are fantastic. I hope she has forgiven you for the Julie comment 🤣
29:42 -- The truck wasn't supposed to jump the cars, it was supposed to plow through, knocking them out of the way.. But it hit with such force, it went over the hoods.. (Or bonnets as you guys call them.)
"Nothing is over!" Still Gets me Sylvester just put 💯 Of himself in there and Created a Legendary Film 👏🎇 Great reaction and Good job getting it by TH-cam dang Skynet 😂
Also, the original ending was Rambo is shot and killed by colonel Trautman. You can actually see this in the newer Rambo movie when he's having a flash back, they added the cut scene of him getting shot
Hannah's reaction was really gutwrenching. I was a kid back in the day and so watching it, I saw an action movie - nothing more. But being older today, learned about history and the background of that movie (I'm not an American), there's so much more in this movie that makes me think nowadays. So, I sympathize with Hannah.
I have never seen a more powerful performance than John Dennehy on stage the first day he was back from a heart attack on Broadway. I've said it before but I don't mind seeing it again. I cried the whole night through.
The whole time I was watching I was thinking Hannah was gonna melt down at the end. His speech is so touching, and raw. And up until then he had barely spoken any words. It is extremely powerful
Hi Guys, This based on a book by David Morrell.
1) Sheriff Teale was a Korean War Veteran in the book. That is why he has an issue with Rambo.
2) This is a more important point. The Film came out in 1982. People in the US were just beginning to talk about Vietnam Veterans and how they were Treated. In the Book Col Trutman eventually had to Kill John Rambo because he was so broken. Slyvester Stallone thought it sent to wrong message about Veterans so he suggested the ending you Saw!!!!!
They also changed the fact that in the book Rambo kills everyone, and is a much less sympathetic character because of that fact. So in the film they altered it so he doesn't kill anyone. Yes the one deputy died, but it was his own damned fault. The sheriff pinned it on him because he is the antagonist of the story.
That's the difference. Ash has to make the scene goofy because Stallone went into a high pitched voice for a sec whereas Hannah has the courage to just feel and go with it. Kudos Hannah.
That voice crack is good acting
I was gonna say the same thing. I feel like he doesn't have genuine reactions. But her reaction was honest and true. And she made the scene better and sadder
@@Texmexrex True. She caught the essence of it. Ash is a bit immature. All the time he is prolonging and hiding behind his silent fake laughing... but hey he's still young. Give it time I guess.
Like he mentioned he has seen this movie as a kid. So this scene does not hit the same as an adult watching for the 1st time. I saw this film as a kid and loved it cuz of the action. Not until I watched it several years later as an adult that I realized the emotional impact of that scene.
Irritated me when he did that. Why would you trample on that moment?
I love how Hannah's mind works, the "I hope they have insurance" remark had me dying lmao
Back then, if you were a man and had long hair, they called you slurs and treated you like you were a lazy troublemaker. A lot of guys came home from Vietnam got out of the military and kept growing their hair. And a lot of the olders really reacted negatively to that, all these military men suddenly having wild, thick, luxurious, long hair.
Very true, the "dragnet" generation loved their buzz cuts and even today can have mixed perceptions about men with long hair and often view them as "deviants" on some level lol
The main reason people didn't like seeing soldiers returning from Vietnam was because the media was reporting the brutality American soldiers were doing, rape, murder etc...like if Russian soldiers returned from Ukraine and their families see the atrocities they were taking part in assuming no one was watching and they wouldn't be held to account.
Obviously not all soldiers who went to Vietnam took part in it, but the media then like it does today amplifies the brutality. Many American soldiers did some unspeakable things in Vietnam. What guys like John Rambo didn't understand was the world was long hating the soldiers before good soldiers even got home. Before they themselves knew the world was watching other soldiers rape and kill. That's why the cop sheriff warned him about "looking how you do". He looked like a Vietnam vet and they had some horrible PR throughout the years.
@@_nauticaldisaster_ yeah but remember that it's not all their fault its societies fault as well and governments more than both societies and soldiers together
Cause governments start wars and if you're like a soldier trying not to get involved in war then you get in jail or else
In most of the conflicts soldiers are just instruments and they are influenced by propaganda as well as common people
I wake up and don’t know where I am. Not military, but I’ve been through some things. Diagnosed with PTSD many times. It’s rough. Show them boys some respect. Salute.
Hannah, if everyone reacted like you maybe we would finally have peace in this world. War is hell. There are no winners; only those who lose less.
I think it was funny when you both were like he doesn’t feel cold, but forgot that he made a cover for him, because he was actually cold. He feel pain and the elements, he is just able to endure better.
This movie was filmed in Hope, British Columbia, Canada (even though it takes place in USA). Those mountains are very real - they're the Rocky Mountains and I've enjoys countless hours camping and hiking in them. If you ever get the opportunity, please visit. People there are super nice and easy to talk to. I grew up in the shadow of the Rockies and I still think of them from time to time.
What people don't understand about the damage Rambo causes to the town at the end of the movie is this. In his final speech, he talks about coming back to the US after the war and citizens spitting on him, being harassed and ridiculed for fighting in the war. Not only was he getting back at the Sheriff for how he was treated, but destroying the town was his chance to get back at citizens for how they treated him when he got back.
Watching Hannah be absolutely fuming at the cops is fantastic,
Also nice Ali g moment with ya Julie
The town of Hope, British Columbia still looks pretty much the same as it did back when the film was shot.. Of course, things have changed a bit. The worst change was the original truss bridge where the Sheriff arrests Rambo no longer exists..
The scene where Rambo leaps into the tree. Stallone really fell into that tree and broke a rib his reaction was genuine.
That's incredible, I never knew that, but always looked authentic and when I was younger would question whether he really got hurt or if it was just damn good acting
When Aragorn kicked the helmet in "The two towers" he broke his toe.
@@TheTurinturumbar Sly also took his share of genuine hits in the Rocky movies, Dolph put him in the hospital from a good hit to his ribs that caused his heart to beat irregular when they were making Rocky 4
This scene makes men cry also. Definitely his best acted scene ever and it is 1000% true to some vets.
The ending scene is a tear jerking. Wouldn't have minded a reshoot of the 'I can't find your legs' part but still amazing.
Nah, that's how a person who is truly emotional acts. No need for a reshoot. His voice is broken up, and it's like he is barely able to say "I can't find your legs". It's so shocking and traumatic that he was trying to think logically to help his friend (by finding his legs), but in reality there is nothing he could do to save him. Just imagine talking to someone about a friend, or anyone around you that was blown to pieces, yet still alive, screaming, and crying for your help, and their mother? Definitely the most powerful scene in any Stallone movie.
@@donavonhoward114 agreed, the rawness of his performance is what drives the emotion

It would be really interesting to see them reacting to the 4th movie which is actually just called Rambo. Although it might actually be a little bit to much for Hannah.

I've seen this movie at least 100 times. I've memorized every line in this movie. The ending of this movie hits you hard! Stallone is a superb actor! ❤️🔥👊
Hannah always cries whenever anything related to friends or camaraderie is involved. I've noticed that. This tells me that friends mean a lot to her, I guess. She values her friends and friendship. A noble quality in a person. Also, Ash my dude...taking another woman's name even in a hypothetical scenario in front of your girlfriend...DUDE!!!
When Rambo says this wasn't his war, he means he was drafted into the war, he did not enlist voluntarily.
Exactly. They turned these people into weapons to be used, and then discussed them when they were spent up. Exploitation of vulnerable people to the max.
Omg...so happy youre getting into the Rambo franchise.
I absolutely agree, such a powerful performance by Stallone his best!!!
Loved your reaction to the end Hannah. That last scene where he talks about his horrors of the war is far better than anything that Rambo does after this movie. Sequels always dilute the original characters. I love the other Rambo movies but this one is by far my favorite. Even though the story is fictional, it highlights real issues American soldiers faced when returning from Vietnam. This movie wonderfully touches on the subject of P.T.S.D. before the term was even commonly used; is the most relatable Rambo movie.
I love that you guys like the 80s stuff as younger folks, shows that its not JUST nostalgia for folks like me there was something "golden" about the era. I won't go on and on about the era or the Vietnam war, a lot of comments address it, some are BS others are good its up to you to study and figure it all out.
Ash, make that chicken sound again. lol Great review for a great movie! Hannah, don't worry, love. You're a tender-hearted person and there's absolutely nothing wrong with showing emotion.
13:03 -- Stallone did break or crack a rib or two falling through the tree. His yells of pain are real.
Hannah hit the nail on the head. We’re heroes, until we’re not needed anymore. People ARE fickle creatures
36:47 -- This scene is Academy Award material right there.. And the way it's done... No music, no background sounds from outside.. Just mentor and student.. The costs of war.. Disposable heroes..
Before Stallone was cast as Rambo Harrison Ford, Clint Eastwood, Paul Newman, Warren Beatty, Ryan O'Neal, Dustin Hoffman, Martin Sheen, Robert DeNiro, Robert Redford, Al Pacino, Michael Douglas, James Caan, James Garner, Burt Reynolds, Kurt Russell, Jeff Bridges, Nick Nolte, and Steve McQueen were considered for the character
Before Richard Crenna was cast as Col. Sam Trautman, Kirk Douglas was cast in the role but fell ill with Pneumonia and Crenna was picked.
It’s one of Stallone’s best performances in a movie in my opinion. All of the movies are freaking awesome!
Mann, I love hannah s reaction… her commentary is so great!!
She’s the best mate 👊🏽
Most people are too young to know this but the Vietnam War was a total disaster by every possible metric - not only were casualties insanely high and soldiers were on high alert or in combat 24/7, but the American public was so staunchly against US involvement that returning soldiers were treated worse than child molesters. (In fact the 26th Amendment, lowering the voting age to 18, was only ratified in order to excuse sending teenage boys halfway around the world to die.) Vietnam veterans were denied jobs, seldom received VA benefits, were often spit on in public, and hardly any of them ever received the counseling and therapy they needed in order to return to civilian life.
Treating ANYONE like Rambo was treated is almost guaranteed to create an uncontrollable monster - doing it to a guy with the skills and fortitude to have survived multiple tours in Vietnam, in addition to at least two stints as a prisoner of the Viet Cong, is going to unleash hell beyond anyone else's darkest nightmares.
Thank you for talking about PTSD, it neaver leaves you. You just learn how to deal with it 1 day at a time. Love you guys. Keep kicking ass guys.
I can't really say anything about this movie that hasn't already been said, and better, by so many other people. It's a great film, and I'm glad you both enjoyed it. Hannah's reactions were great, pretty much exactly what the filmmakers wanted. They wanted viewers to see Rambo as a human being, not just a soldier, but also as a stand-in for veterans returning from Vietnam.
Speaking of, the book makes it much clearer, but one of the reasons the police don't like him is that he's a Vietnam vet, but that isn't the only reason. Brian Dennehy's character, the Sheriff, is a Korean war vet. At the time the story is set, the Vietnam War was still on everyone's minds. For it or against it, love the soldiers or hate them, everyone had an opinion and it was a very strong one. The Korean War, in contrast, was all but completely forgotten by that time. There was a sense of anger at the attention Rambo and other Vietnam veterans were getting, when the men in the Korean War, who had also seen and experienced horrors, had been, again, all but forgotten.
That doesn't make what he did any "better", but like Rambo's actions, it does provide more understandable and relatable context.
Another great reaction. You two make such a good couple, complementing each other. And no need to feel sorry for crying Hannah. I drop some tears every single time I watch that movie.
Legend mate, thank you ❤️
Since the first day I saw this movie in the early 80's, I've considered it the best movie ever made for my personal taste. The story, the scenery, the actors, the music - it just hits the spot for me and I'll often return to it when I'm feeling down and re-watch it for the at least 100th time, takes me back to my childhood.
I had to come back here a 3rd time! You two are so awesome!! I love your banter, comments and chemistry above anything else and that's what makes you two my ultimate favorite reactors. You're definitely the very best in the biz, bar none!!!
That being said First Blood is an all time favorite movie of mine and yes, Stallone definitely doesn't get the credit he deserves. I love this movie so that I was so excited and couldn't wait for Hannah to experience it for herself. The BEST reactions ever! And if you ever decide to go back and actually look at the alternative ending, it's even sadder with the monolog but would have never started the franchise (Thank God the test audience didn't go for it).
To answer why the cops hated him:
The US soldiers returning from vietnam were hated by much of the american public when they returned from the war unfortunately.
The war was immensely unpopular with the american people, and caused a draft that was forcing a lot of young men to go fight in a war that almost everyone agreed the US had no business being involved in. Many young people became draft dodgers. Some ran across the border to canada to escape the draft, others avoided it at home illegally, some sought out conscientious objector status (which is what the author George RR Martin did to avoid going to war). So the war was deeply unpopular with american people even as it began.
Then, news reports started coming back about atrocities being committed in vietnam by US soldiers. Sometimes they'd kill entire villages for example. Sometimes they'd kill their own allies because they couldn't tell them apart from the enemy. All of this wartime coverage and propaganda basically changed the narrative in public discourse and rather than everyone being anti-war, sentiment started to turn to anti-soldier. People who used to hold peace rallies and things like that started pushing more and more into hatred of soldiers, calling every man in uniform a baby killer and things like that.
Attitudes toward soldiers was VERY bad at the time, basically because of the mainstream media painting them as villains and then all the various hippie movements and such running with it and hating them. Also, a lot of them came home to being destitute. They had no families, no homes, no money. They ended up homeless, begging on the streets for money, etc. People wouldn't let them work for them because they thought they were crazy or killers, so they wouldn't hire them.
So this sheriff either had personal beef with the soldiers, seeing them as murderers and baby killers as well, or at the very least was worried that it would terrify or offend people in his tiny rural town that a vagabond soldier was loitering around in or he just didn't want a homeless beggar to move in and make his clean little town look bad by having a homeless person living there. He, like many americans at the time, saw soldiers as bad actors, psychopaths, killers, murderers, etc, and he didn't want any of that in his town. So he gave him a ride to the other side of town, so he could continue on his journey. But instead of going on, he turned around and walked right back into town because he wanted to get something to eat and would've had to walk a lot further to the next town to get something and he didn't want to wait and felt he shouldn't have to because he had a right to be there.
Soldiers didn't get much support from the government when returning home either. They still don't to a large degree unfortunately. The department of veteran affairs that handles trying to take care of their issues is underbudgeted, understaffed, and largely apathetic and disinterested because the sad reality is america churns out soldiers for war like a factory but it does not care at all what happens to them when they come home. There have been several instances of veterans lighting themselves on fire and letting themselves burn to death just to bring attention to how neglected they are and how little the government, and public, care about it.
Most people have no idea Stallone could act like this. One of my favorite performances of his!
Check out his new show Tulsa King. He is really getting a chance to flex his acting chops.
The national guard soldiers (shooting at Rambo) are only part-timers, so they have regular jobs in the town. They are not regular military. Nicknamed "Weekend warriors" by some.
You two are funny and very entertaining. Always a good video with Hannah talking shit, being a bad ass, random thoughts, showing good emotions, and most importantly you pay good attention and catch plots points others reactors miss. Ash being funny with the "I'm half man" haha "Julie wants me back home" " no no if I was in Portland.." hahahaha
36:09 -- Hannah... Don't ever be ashamed of your emotions or showing them.. It's what makes you human and relatable to all of us.. This was a VERY powerful scene and someone who feels nothing looking at it... They aren't human.
Got to admit, I really like you guys as a team. I don't care so much for the vids Ash does by himself or Hannah does be herself. It's the 2 of you interacting that makes you enjoyable.
PTSD is no joke, as someone who suffers from it every single day. People say i exaggerate because of what i went through as a kid and what I went through the rest of my life. It's not something someone can turn off.
Rambo : 90 minutes of pack action followed by 5 minutes of one of the best acting ever made.
Watched this one on Patreon, it's definitely a quality reaction!
The end of this movie is the best acting Stalon has ever done! Every time I see this I cry and I'm 54. Thank you Sylvester!
Rambo genera ese tipo de reacción en mucha gente, así como a Hannah, insuperable actuación de Sylvester Stallone. Saludo cariñoso a Hannah desde Perú.
Must watch 80s action movies (incl. sequels and excl. SCi-Fi like star wars). Rambo, Predator, Rocky, Commando, Die Hard, Invasion USA, Terminator, and Red Dawn.
Loved the reaction especially Hannah. God bless her, she's a keeper mate. Please react to the rest of the Rambo series
When I saw the thumbnail, I knew how Hannah had reacted to the ending. It comes out of left field. Rambo makes you think he's kind of robotic. Ignores pain, etc. But the brokenness of the man is revealed expertly during an exquisite monologue delivered by Rambo to Col. Truatman. Loved your reaction. I love that you're full of empathy towards others and their problems. Please don't ever lose that. Peace!
You two are seriously hilarious. Hannah's expressions and reactions throughout the movie are priceless. Ash buddy, I think you talked yourself into a hole @ 17:33
You two were squabbling (more than usual) and only because I know you two love each other so much and know each other so well I have always been able to enjoy your squabbling when watching your reaction videos. Always some of the best part of watching you two. I love you guys!
I just want to say you two are amazing, my dad showed me this movie back in 2020. And Rambo is one of my favourite 80's action heroes. And I'd also like to say that I'm glad that I found this channel sincerely a fan from Australia. P.s. if you're interested might I recommend Escape from New York with Kurt Russell? It's an awesome movie.
There's no way that Teasle or any of his deputies would still have their jobs after Rambo finally gave up. His deputies would either resign or forced to quit amidst public outcry and an investigation.
Teasle would have to step down because no one will reelect the sheriff responsible for the whole town being attacked by a former green beret. If he was stubborn enough and stood for reelection, he would have been defeated in a landslide; he would have left town to start over because of the disgrace. He probably couldn't even get a job as dog catcher.
You know what? He would have deserved it.
A really poignant movie especially when you realize this was not long after the end of Vietnam, so it must have hit home for many veterans still reeling.
If you look at the scenes in Teasle's office, behind him are medals that he earned in Korea. In the book, Teasle feels resentment towards Rambo and other Vietnam veterans because Korea was largely forgotten while Vietnam got far more attention. .
The Deputy who was in the copter should have been charged with attempted murder had he not been so stupid to unbuckle his seat belt.
Ash. Comparing the sound of a man’s voice cracking in psychological angst to Michael Jackson….very inappropriate words from someone who apparently has never seen combat. Shameful.
Listen, Ash, this reaction, in particular, and especially at the moment of Hannah's finale, for me is really one of the most worthy and appreciated in this kind of content that I am passionate about! Hannah's nervous breakdown made me cry, although this, of course, impressive and powerful final scene of the film has already become more familiar after many screenings! This is a masterpiece reaction moment, thanks for this offer for your girlfriend! She really has a vulnerable soul, and not only a great mind and quick wit, appreciate and take care of her, man!
Maybe a unpopular opinion but i don't think you need to watch the other ones cause they kinda suck. They Maybe good action movies but they suck story wise.
100% with you on that.
Rambo (2008) is pretty good. The rest are bad, Last Blood (2019) is atrocious.
We need to see Hannah’s reaction to Rambo (2008) , suck or not. 😂
Yes I would also say that after First Blood, "Rambo" (2008) is the only sequel really worth a watch beyond the typical 1980s action shoot-em-up flick.
@@stephenbull2026 lol Yeah would be funny
