Serge Allen pure malt is amazing it's my unique smell fragrance. The initial smell is strong to the nose by 30 minutes into the dry down I've had people come sit next to me and ask like what is it, they are obsessed. A very manly yet eloquent smell, also my favorite winter fragrance.
Pure Havane is my absolute favorite. Such a great choice especially for the winter season. Rocked it for a year in high school. Got great feedback and compliments.

Yes much more vanilla and chocolate in PH, with less patchouli tar note. I actually don't find Pure Malt much better than the original-I don't get enough of the whiskey note I was hoping for, and still too much of the tar note for my liking.
In Pure Havane, I get tobacco, honey, and cherry in the opening, followed by vanilla and chocolate in the dry down. To my nose, Pure Havane has more overall sweetness (vanilla, chocolate) than Pure Malt.
I do agree with you... The original A*Men is my favorite, is just something about it that makes it so unique. It's a very well done mix of notes, and the performance is better than all the flankers that I have smelled (Malt, Havane, and Tonka), is just a masterpiece! Great video! Next brand... Amouage, I see you have a lot of them.

I've been loving pure Tonka during the winter and ultra zest in the summer... have pure malt and pure havane too but not wearing them that much at the moment. Been wearing Cuba prestige (angel men clone) to work occasionally and will wear the Mugler cologne also to work in the summer months too... Think I will wear pure malt tomorrow as I have not worn it for a while... When you have quite a few scents some old faves get more and more left on the shelf, so good job with the reviews to remind us of why we got certain scents in the first place. I think that I will be taking a break from getting new scents for a while so that I can appreciate the ones that I already have....

Pure Havane is by far my favorite fragrance, but unfortunately it doesnt project well on me, and only lasts about 2-3 hours. I wear the original, 'Amen' a lot and this one definitely projects and I easily get 8 hours out of it.
In regards to the original I never personally cared for it but one day I recognized the scent being worn by an older gentleman and it smelled phenomenal on him. He lit up the entire room in a good way.
I ordered 100ml gold collectors edition original A*men,should get it these days in mail. I had to to choose between original and pure havane. Now im glad I made this decision knowing that the best reviewer puts it no.1 (btw before I ordered I was looking for your review on it but I couldn't find).Now I feel great. Thanks Steven. Just got pure malt from Marshalls for 40 dollars on clearance... And I just ordered pure havane off of Amazon for 47... pure malt is really nice so I'm really excited to get pure havane

Just I wnat to apologize for this late comment! But I need to comment lol. I also want to thank you for all your great and imformative videos I really enjoy them. I seen this video and I needed to coment because man I agree with you. I own a hand full of the a Tierry Mugler fragrance and for me the original is the King. A lot of poeple just dont know about this fragrance they smell it of a strip of paper and they dont give a chance. This is a fragrance that needs to be sprayed on the skin and give it a chance and let the magic happen. The original Amen is like mood ring that canges colors. Original Amen just keeps getting better and better as the hours go by and even at the end of the day you can still smell it ..lol. So thanx once again for another great video... see you soon😎

My favorite is by far Taste of Fragrance. It gets a bad rap because of the chilli note, but it turns extremely sweet on my skin and I absolutely love it.
Pure Tonka and Havane are my favorites along with the Original A*men. TM is one of the few houses that doesn't disappoint with flankers. YSL could learn a thing or two.
House of Mugler is a favorite. I am really shocked that Pure Wood doesn't get more love. It's an amazing scent IMH. I get compliments every time I wear it...very underrated fragrance. Others I love, Pure Malt (classic), Pure Havane, Ultra Zest, Pure Tonka while I'm at our cabin:). Not a huge fan of Original A*men--need to maybe go back an try it again as it's been years. I seemed to like long ago, but haven't worn it in years. Playing with Mugler Cologne and liking it so far.... Thanks again buddy for the video.

Just ordered my 2nd 100ml bottle. Picked it up for $45 shipped from maxaroma. I have Pure Malt and Ultra Zest but Pure Havane is my favorite of the three.
Taste of is my favorite but Ultra Zest is quickly moving into the top spot as I use it to layer with others that are sometimes too dark or musty like Taste of or too dry like Timbuktu. It can uplift a frag and give it some freshness and/or sweetness.
wiskey (whitout the alcohol), sweet berries(strawberry blueberry raspberry and red berries)caramel, chocolade vanillie ,koffie and patchouli all this is what u get from pure malt verry delicious and gourmand a perfect 9.0/10

My Top 5 goes like this... 1- Pure Malt Creation 2013 2- Pure Malt 3- Pure Tonka 4- Kryptomint 5- Pure Wood 6- Original A*Men I actually purchased Pure Havane 1st, but I didn't smell the cherry note on the test strip so I bought it immediately. I actually gave this to my brother along with around 14 other frags and I think he threw it out LOL, smh, not sure. If it didn't have that cherry note it would be my number one for sure because those honey and tobacco notes etc*. Pure *TONKA* wins it for me!! it's such a warm, sexy, inviting sent! l'm not a huge fan of the lavender in my bottle, but once you get past that, it is like falling into a cloud of buttery vanilla pancakes drizzled in butterscotch syrup and cinnamon sugar with a steaming mocha on the side. but it never gets sickly sweet The first time I tested this was last winter (2016), it was snowing and dark outside and it was a magical moment!
I can definitely see why you're using Prestige more often than Amen. It's a very close clone. My only beef with it is that there's a certain harsh and thinness to it, so I don't reach for it often

I have to agree. The original is the best in my opinion. I love the flankers but the original and that dry down . Heaven in a bottle.

I only own pure Havane and pure malt, both excellent. What fragrance from. What Cuba fragrance smells like the original A Men?
I love pure Tonka. Best release since pure havane in the series IMO. Makes me want to drink it and eat the bottle lol.
