@@colestarkey1937 See, the problem with that is that they do hate each other. You can look at their past of Johnny beating the crap out of Daniel for no other reason than Daniel tried to help Ally. The kind of rivalry that was only overcome when Daniel proved himself in the All Valley Tournament. But that clearly didn't stop Johnny from hating Daniel, especially when Daniel became a success and Johnny had to see his face everywhere he went, and Johnny lost all of his money and was barely surviving. Now, when John Creese comes back, and he's threatening both Daniel and Johnny, and then taken everything away from both of them, they both have a reason to say enough is enough, and its time to team up and work together to take down their common enemy. I have no doubt that there is going to be a serious difference in their teaching methods. Daniel's calm style that he learned from Mr. Miyagi is not going to match very well Johnny's hardcore style, so there's going to be some tension there, but I do agree that they will be able to find common ground at some point when they learn from each other.

In the original Karate Kid Johnny doesn't properly bowe to Daniel. This moment shows his character progression, from hating Daniel to being his pal and Co-Sensei. AWASOME
That was no friendship, that was respect, mutual honest respect. They will still fight about dumb stuff and surely punch each others with no hard feelings.

Johnny figured out that Kreese really did want Daniel dead and that scared Johnny. But Johnny felt trapped. He feared Kreese’s wrath more than losing a tournament. So he went on and did what Kreese told him. And when he lost to Daniel, he recognized Daniel as a worthy opponent and had earned Johnny’s respect. In tournaments, you shake everyone in your category’s hand, win or lose. If you simply walk away when you lose, you’re seen as a sore loser who hasn’t learned any humility.
From boys to men. From students to teachers. From enemies to comrades. And none of it feels forced or cliched. THIS is how you respect the legacy of the original story and characters and evolve them.
And yet let’s think how arbitrary all this is. Somebody decided to buy this franchise’s rights and reopen the «Karate Kid» files, thus deciding (for all of us) how that fictitious reality was to be continued. You say that this decision has been carefully and wisely planned, and that is the best continuation possible. Maybe, I’m not debating it and I agree that this Cobra Kai 3’s final scene is pure epic. By the way, this series confirms the overall objective targeted by the new generation of «home cinema», i.e. serials: viewers are no longer allowed to have doubts and dreams about «what’s next?», about the characters’ destiny. Instead, they are forcefully fed with episodes meant to satisfy all the possible curiosities. Why keeping fantasy alive, if you can sell answers?
Mr Miyagi would be proud of them both Ali was the key to settling their beef they had for years, I am glad Johnny and Daniel have settled their differences and can find some common ground and train their students with their contrasting styles.Hopefully they can take down and destroy the evil John Kreese and Terry Silver.

Good point. Miyagi, despite seeing Daniel get ganged up on & beat, never seemed to hate the Cobra Kai students. Like he said, "Only bad teacher". And when Bobby jump kicked Daniel's knee in KK 1, Miyagi looked glaringly at Kreese,not Bobby. Cos he knew Kreese put him up to it.

I feel that Daniel and Johnny are achieving balance in their karate styles. Johnny learned showing mercy,despite being badass,and daniel learned that sometimes to defend yourself you have to attack. Both working together is going to be awesome.
Daniel La Russo was the real villain in Karate kid because he stole Allie from Johnny Laurence. She was Johnny Laurence's girlfriend before La Russo showed up. No wonder he hated him. Johnny Lawrence was actually the good guy.
*As a martial artist, I think this scene is truly beautiful. In karate, people often view bowing as a formality, but what it really is, is respect. When people bow, they are showing respect to the person they are training with, and the place they are training in. That’s why it was so special to see Daniel and Johnny bow to one another.* *If you remember, in the original Karate Kid movie, before one of their fights, Johnny performs an extremely shallow and rushed bow to Daniel on purpose. It was more of a bow of the head than of the body.* *This scene goes to show how much Johnny has changed. When Daniel and Johnny bow to one another here, they are showing deep respect for each other which is good character development. This show may be extremely cheesy at times (albeit this is obviously done on purpose by the writers), but it has good messages, etc. Probably one of, if not my favorite show.*

Hawk changing sides was too sudden. One of the reasons he left Cobra Kai was probably because he felt jealous of Robby since he was becoming Kreese’s new favorite student

Hawk questioning Kreese, him not liking that Kreese let in Kyler, him feeling threatened by Robby coming in, you could see he was conflicted and remorseful after he broke Dimitri's arm. Hawk was a kid that was bullied and finally got some power to defend himself and lost himself for a bit. He was never a bad person. Even in season 2 you could see him revert back to his old self talking with Dimitri at the party about Dr Who, only to let his anger at being rejected by Moon get the better of him and he took it out on Dimitri by dumping the beer on his head.
Never in my life did I think that these two would team up period but once Kreese took Cobra Kai over from Johnny I knew it was a matter of time. I honestly thought we get Daniel and Johnny together this entire season but some other events had to happen to push some of Johnny's students to leave Kreese and for Johnny and Daniel to team together. Now the bigger question is....how will they co-exist? Will they truly put their differences aside for the common good or will there be a blow up between them? We are talking about two hotheads here. Season 4 will give us our answer when it comes out

And the truth, as Ali mentioned, is that both men recognize similarities in one another. That entails both their strengths and weaknesses; their victories and shortcomings. And that recognition has progressed over the length of the series if you go back and look. Will we get moments where their rivalry might threaten to jeopardize their ultimate goal? Perhaps. However, they now realize their rivalry has caused more harm than good on both ends, so we’ll probably see Johnny and Daniel strike a sort of balance. At least I hope so.
When I first heard this song lingering in the scene I hoped they would time the Johnny entrance with the drums kicking in. I was not disappointed. Fantastic show with fantastic writing
The series in general really capitalized on their musical placement. "Show Must Go On" in the second season brought a tear to my eye when they finally got him a body bag.
I'm obsessed with this scene, I get goosebumps as soon as the drums roll and then the synth kicks in and zooms in on Daniel.. it's like holy crap... I can just imagine Miyagi nodding like "You do what you must, Daniel-san, you fight and you win, you make friend with old rival."
No gonna lie I literally cried in this part. The song, The kids hugging each other, being friends again, Daniel and Johnny bowing to each other. My heart ❤️

Johnny vs Kreese makes sense. Kreese ruined his life. Daniel vs Silver makes sense cus Silver nearly ruined Daniels life. Miguel vs Robby makes sense. The only 2 students that can match each other Sam vs Tory makes sense. Girl vs girl ofc Hawk vs Kyler makes sense. Bully vs Victim. Chozen vs Barnes doesn't make sense cus its not a close fight and they don't know each other.

You knew Johnny had respect for Daniel even in the very first one when he wanted to give him the trophy after he was beat. Even through these 3 seasons you could see that they needed each other.

Remembered the spin-off movie The Next Karate Kid (which Daniel didn't appeared) starring Hilary Swank who portrayed the new protagonist Julie Pierce? I don't really liked this movie, but I would still LOVED TO SEE JULIE INTERACTED WITH DANIEL AND JOHNNY IN SEASON 4 as well as the 3 of them ended up FORMED SIBLINGS-LIKE RELATIONSHIP given that they SHARED SOME TRAGIC PASTS LIKE LOST SOMEONE WHO WERE CLOSER TO THEM.
I’m a 44 year old man...first saw The Karate Kid movies when I was about 9 years old. I don’t normally get emotional over TV shows and movies, but this scene, and its importance to everything, was done absolutely brilliantly. Definitely pulled on my heart strings, I won’t deny it!!!
This scene is the definition of EPIC. Great choice of soundtrack, great acting, great everything. I have re-watched this one scene like 20 times now. I hope its only the prelude to a great season with Terry Silver in it because it couldnt be otherwise.

No better ending ever in life, period. Johnny's entrance makes me choke up every time. I can watch that for the rest of my life and not get tired of it. Season 4 cant disappoint at all. Even if it does, ill live with it bc of this very moment. Unreal and unbelievable. Best show in history !

I feel that Daniel and Johnny are achieving balance in their karate styles. Johnny learned showing mercy,despite being badass,and daniel learned that sometimes to defend yourself you have to attack. Both working together is going to be awesome.

When people bow, they are showing respect to the person they are training with, and the place they are training in. That’s why it was so special to see Daniel and Johnny bow to one another.*
*If you remember, in the original Karate Kid movie, before one of their fights, Johnny performs an extremely shallow and rushed bow to Daniel on purpose. It was more of a bow of the head than of the body.*
*This scene goes to show how much Johnny has changed. When Daniel and Johnny bow to one another here, they are showing deep respect for each other which is good character development. This show may be extremely cheesy at times (albeit this is obviously done on purpose by the writers), but it has good messages, etc. Probably one of, if not my favorite show.*

True after all those times he clearly went against Dimitri I didn’t think he’d turn back but after the fight in the house I assumed it would happen
Hawk changing sides was too sudden. One of the reasons he left Cobra Kai was probably because he felt jealous of Robby since he was becoming Kreese’s new favorite student
@@angellanza2537 they threw in a lot of hints at this during the season. Hawk questioning Kreese, him not liking that Kreese let in Kyler, him feeling threatened by Robby coming in, you could see he was conflicted and remorseful after he broke Dimitri's arm.
Hawk was a kid that was bullied and finally got some power to defend himself and lost himself for a bit. He was never a bad person. Even in season 2 you could see him revert back to his old self talking with Dimitri at the party about Dr Who, only to let his anger at being rejected by Moon get the better of him and he took it out on Dimitri by dumping the beer on his head.

I've been waiting for this moment for all of my life.
Never in my life did I think that these two would team up period but once Kreese took Cobra Kai over from Johnny I knew it was a matter of time. I honestly thought we get Daniel and Johnny together this entire season but some other events had to happen to push some of Johnny's students to leave Kreese and for Johnny and Daniel to team together.
Now the bigger question is....how will they co-exist? Will they truly put their differences aside for the common good or will there be a blow up between them? We are talking about two hotheads here. Season 4 will give us our answer when it comes out

And the truth, as Ali mentioned, is that both men recognize similarities in one another. That entails both their strengths and weaknesses; their victories and shortcomings. And that recognition has progressed over the length of the series if you go back and look. Will we get moments where their rivalry might threaten to jeopardize their ultimate goal? Perhaps. However, they now realize their rivalry has caused more harm than good on both ends, so we’ll probably see Johnny and Daniel strike a sort of balance. At least I hope so.

Remembered the spin-off movie The Next Karate Kid (which Daniel didn't appeared) starring Hilary Swank who portrayed the new protagonist Julie Pierce? I don't really liked this movie, but I would still LOVED TO SEE JULIE INTERACTED WITH DANIEL AND JOHNNY IN SEASON 4 as well as the 3 of them ended up FORMED SIBLINGS-LIKE RELATIONSHIP given that they SHARED SOME TRAGIC PASTS LIKE LOST SOMEONE WHO WERE CLOSER TO THEM.
This scene was honestly everything, all the kids being friends again and being reunited, Daniel and Johnny teaming up and the song!
I’m a 44 year old man...first saw The Karate Kid movies when I was about 9 years old. I don’t normally get emotional over TV shows and movies, but this scene, and its importance to everything, was done absolutely brilliantly. Definitely pulled on my heart strings, I won’t deny it!!!
This scene is the definition of EPIC. Great choice of soundtrack, great acting, great everything. I have re-watched this one scene like 20 times now. I hope its only the prelude to a great season with Terry Silver in it because it couldnt be otherwise.
