I think Robby needs to grow up and be the next sensei of Miyagi-Do. This karate stuff is his future. Miguel wants college. Robby wasn’t really anybody until he met Daniel.
Well, Daniel wasn't really somebody too when he met Miyagi. The movies made him go to Okinawa, to be a bonsai shop assistant, etc. And yet, the Cobra Kai show made him a wealthy salesman even though he never went to college. Who knows what could happen to Robby. He could either be a full-time sensei or just take on a job that has nothing to do with martial arts. (Daniel did hired him in his company in the early seasons) Life is unpredictable. And even if he can't go to college right now, doesn't mean he can't go to college forever. There are people older than Johnny Lawrence who still manage to go to uni. Anyways, no matter what Miguel and Robby become, I'm 100% sure they will be part-time senseis. Like the rest of the cast.
The way I see it, Miguel fights best street wise; he can endure all the pain and hits he’s given, but he’s never taken down, while Robby fights best tournament wise; he can avoid getting hit and gets a lot of hits. And there’s so much evidence to prove it. Season 1, first tournament, realistically, if Miguel and Hawk hadn’t taken advantage of Robby’s shoulder injury, Robby would of won that entire tournament. Season 2, school fight, Miguel truly won that fight, despite lowering his guard, he’s still beats Robby, just not under tournament conditions. In season 3, Miguel fights Kyler at the LaRusso house, despite still recovering, he endured that pain and won. In season 4, second tournament, Robby could of won the tournament once again, if he hadn’t been in a state of anger and revenge, considering he was in Cobra Kai. However, in the Season 5 fight to settle matters, at the apartments, Miguel won the fight once again, just not under tournament conditions. Overall, Miguel can fight to survive, while Robby dominates the tournament aspects of karate. End of the day, they’re both good fighters, it just depends on the situation of the fight.

Honestly Robby deserves this. Miguel and Hawk have had their spotlight season. I really hope Robby wins this as this is his chance to make a future for himself. Miguel , Hawk everyone else is going to college .
If you look at the new latest teaser trailer for Season 6 Part 3, the ending shows the classic Cobra Kai gi being worn. This will probably show Miguel taking the spotlight in the win. I see a new series coming out devoted to Robby.
Robby is exactly what I want in a fighter. He can kick ass as well as defend. I truly never understood why Johnny and Daniel are so headstrong about one way of fighting. It shouldn’t be an all offensive or defensive fighter as both expect. You never know what your opponent will throw and it’s best to have the skills to do both. Robby proved smarter than all the Sensais combined because it’s clear that you need to be a well rounded fighter. He was the first to understand that concept, not the adults, who should be way wiser. he disposed 10 Cobra Kai students by himself, Robby is truly the new Karate Kid and Sam is the second Karate girl like Julie Pierce
even tho I favor Miguel over Robby, I can easily agree that he beat him fair and square here. what people don’t understand tho is that going into this both of them were unbalanced. Miguel was too in his head thinking about college which did give him the upper hand, but ultimately allowed his desperation and anger take over. while Robby was in a state of stress and anxiety in the beginning of the fight due to not wanting to come in as second best once again. As soon as tory appeared tho, she gave him a sense of calmness and relaxation which helped him center himself. Miguel also became egotistical and prideful after landing those two points on Robby who had began to lock in 😭 which led him to win

And I hope the directors know how to use this in the sekai taikai tournament, because he's the only one who has what kwon doesn't have. balance and focus
YES and I want him to win the world tournament. He already has the best record in my opinion because TWO 2nd place trophies show CONSISTENCY and each of the other 2 recent winners (Hawk and Miguel) only had ONE first place and did not place at all in the other. I would rather have 2 silver medals than one gold.
Damn , I am a Miguel fan , and it’s sad to see him loose . Because he’s kind of lost that aura in a way . He was undefeated and it felt no one could beat him , then energy around him was badass.

Agreed! He would've beat Miguel in s1 because he was completely balanced but of course lost because of his arm. Then in future seasons he keeps loosing to Miguel because he taps into his anger, and of course when he joined Cobra Kai.
Miguel is my favorite character in Cobra Kai, but I'm glad Robby won this fight. Of all the best fighters besides Sam, Robby has never really won anything, whether it's a trophy or a regular fight against his toughest opponent. I'm sure this is just setting up Miguel to win the Sekai Taikai, but at least we got to see Robby win *something.*

@gjjijji that makes no sense as each win was the combination and competition of their character arc. Miguel was a kid with no confidence or drive that earned that with his victory. Hawk was a kid with repressed aggression and rage from bullying, that completed himself and found peace with his victory. Robby is looking for purpose and validation that he's more than what he's thought of himself in the past. Each victory has story and character focused undertones.
I get that people wanted Miguel wanted to be captain to send a high note to the show because Miguel started the show so he should end it But c’mon Robby deserved it because he’s grown a lot from a Troubled Kid to a lighthearted individual who seeks a better future

Robby becoming captain was the definition of just due There’s a strong case to be made, that without Robby, there wouldn’t be a Miyagi Do in the series, as he was Daniel’s first recruit/student for Miyagi Do.

Nope season 1 was dirty win and Robby was better. Season 2 Miguel ends up in coma , Season 4 Robby easily beats Miguel up in the pool scene , season 5 goes for Miguel and season 6 for Robby. It is 3 2 for Robby sweetie

Honestly I'm happy that Robby has finally got the win he deserved, and that's coming from a long time supporter of Miguel. The reason they wouldn't believe that Robby actually won because it's already been proven that Miguel is simply unstoppable in a street fight. Unstoppable as in he already beat Robby in a no point situation. That's the balance that both characters have, they are equal in every way possible like Johnny and Daniel.

Notice how in the first 2 rounds. Robby was attacking first like an eagle fang and losing. But when he started defensively, like a Miyagi-Do. He won. It’s almost like Miyagi-Do and balance is actually useful. Wow. Who would have thought? It’s not like the show has made this a point many times.
You can during the first two rounds Robby strikes first but after seeing Tory he goes back to defense showing his best karate has always been Miyagi-Do
i think robby has always had some of the best defense out of everybody and a lot of the reasons he lost in the past was because the cobra kai stuff had him switch to an aggressive fighting style. his loss to s1 miguel was because he got injured by hawk and even then he held his own pretty well. he lost to miguel in the school fight and the apartment fight cause he went in the offensive and he lost to hawk cause he fought him with offense as well. once he went back to miyagi do and focused more on defending, he’s starting to remember his true strength which is defense and that’s his true strength.

It just struck me that Robby actually varies greatly depending on what state he is in mentally.. Whether he is focused or distracted makes a huge difference to him (like before and after Tory shows up here). Miguel seems like a more stable fighter

They're going with the whover started it ended type of ending, and I'm honestly all for it. And the leaks are real btw. The leaks for part 2 were also real so it's possible this could be real too. This is a foreshow for whats to come in part 3 against Axel. Robby achieving his more balanced potential by doing so is able to beat Axel. Also prob have something to do with miyagi secrets of miyagi-do too im sure...
I knew this would be the outcome of their fight and the continuation of the rivalries were inevitable because rivalries are always popular across various media. It's great to see Robby finally secure a major win, unlike the prom fight, which didn't feel significant despite being his victory. I also knew this fight would be a callback to Season 1, especially with Miguel's ambition for the leadership role. The main difference now is that both fighters are at their prime, and Robby doesn't have an injured shoulder this time. A fun little detail I like to point out is Robby’s fighting style where he regained his focus and started parrying Miguel’s attacks at ease, highlighting this callback to Season 1 and how he could have won the AVT without the shoulder injury. This fight even proves it and that Miguel was fighting at his best while being honorable, only that his ambition reflected his motives compared to Robby’s which foreshadowed the inevitable outcome. Just to put the debate to rest, I would like to say that Robby’s win doesn't make Miguel inferior. Their rivalry only shows that they are equals, much like Dante and Vergil in the Devil May Cry series. Miguel’s loss shouldn’t be seen in vain, it just serves as a reminder that even the best characters as well as the protagonists can go through such losses, reflecting the reality that many go through, and we’ve seen it all in various media. I also believe that Miguel’s loss will contribute to his character development in ST where he will shine. In a perfect rivalry story, both characters should be on par. If Miguel and Robby kept fighting, I believe they'd each win half the time, maintaining the value of their rivalry. Constant wins for either character would be repetitive and boring, undermining the purpose of both the protagonist and the rival
I’ll never understand people who say that “Miguel is better,” or “Robby is better.” Sounds to me like y’all are trying to start a war. A divide with a show that has spent the last 7 years trying to bring people together. Truth is they are both amazing fighters and are both deserving. They have both have proven this time and time again. So much so that it doesn’t matter at this point who wins. So going into this final fight in part 3, it is important to remember that no matter what happens, they will both have a future in the world of karate, or whatever path they follow after high school.

Like Master Kim said, too focused on the price, and can't see the enemy standing in the way. That's what the situation for Miguel is in this fight, he was so focused on the price of getting that captain spot he wasn't focused on how to beat Robby.

To be honest, this move by the producers looks like a blunder. Imagine waiting 3 months for 5 episodes, twice. I just hope the hype doesn't die down or else the finale won't be as impactful as we want it to.

The proof that Robby is overall better than Miguel. In season 1, Miguel beat Robby at the all valley but those who actually watched the series, know why Miguel beat Robby. All the points Miguel scored against Robby was bc he kept hitting Robby injury. Robby with one arm, he managed to score 2 points. So we can all say that Robby is better than Miguel in season 1. In season 2, we saw Miguel beat Robby at the school fight before Robby pushed him over the railing. But Robby was winning the school fight until Miguel provoked him. When Miguel said "She doesn’t love you she loves me" that was when robby became very very angry that he wasn’t focused anymore. That was the only reason Miguel managed to pin Robby down. So technically, robby is either better than Miguel in season 2 or they were both equal. I believe they were both equal. In season 3, we didn’t see Miguel and Robby fight but come on. Let’s all be honest. We all know Robby can kill Miguel in season 3. This shouldn’t even be a debate. In season 4, if y’all think Miguel won the school fight just because he pinned Robby down, then Robby also won the prom fight against Miguel because he managed to pin Miguel down and he managed to push Miguel in the pool. Plus Robby was almost at his prime in season 4. So Robby season 4 is better than season 4 Miguel. Tournament Robby is better than tournament Miguel too because when Miguel and Eli fought, Miguel struggled to land a point on hawk. But when Eli and Robby fought, Robby landed a point on Miguel very fast. In season 5, ima be honest. Miguel won fair and square against Robby. There is no debate. Miguel season 5 is clearly better than Robby season 5. And then finally, in season 6, Robby beat Miguel fair and square too. Dont complaint about Miguel not being focused. Miguel was clearly focused. He even said he really wanted to win. He was very determined to win. He gave everything he could to win but he still got his ass kicked. I also think Robby is better than Miguel in street fight. Because Robby managed to score 3 points in a row. So Robby would probably beat Miguel in a street fight if Robby remained calm and focused. And the only reasons Miguel managed to score 2 points was because Robby wasn’t focused at the start. But when Tory came, Robby got his focused back and he beat Miguel. So yeah, logically, Robby is overall better than Miguel.

Anyways, no matter what Miguel and Robby become, I'm 100% sure they will be part-time senseis. Like the rest of the cast.
The way I see it, Miguel fights best street wise; he can endure all the pain and hits he’s given, but he’s never taken down, while Robby fights best tournament wise; he can avoid getting hit and gets a lot of hits. And there’s so much evidence to prove it.
Season 1, first tournament, realistically, if Miguel and Hawk hadn’t taken advantage of Robby’s shoulder injury, Robby would of won that entire tournament.
Season 2, school fight, Miguel truly won that fight, despite lowering his guard, he’s still beats Robby, just not under tournament conditions.
In season 3, Miguel fights Kyler at the LaRusso house, despite still recovering, he endured that pain and won.
In season 4, second tournament, Robby could of won the tournament once again, if he hadn’t been in a state of anger and revenge, considering he was in Cobra Kai.
However, in the Season 5 fight to settle matters, at the apartments, Miguel won the fight once again, just not under tournament conditions.
Overall, Miguel can fight to survive, while Robby dominates the tournament aspects of karate. End of the day, they’re both good fighters, it just depends on the situation of the fight.
Exactly how I see it, in season 2 and 5 robby gets a lot of hits on Miguel but overall it always ended with Robby pinned down

Robby is exactly what I want in a fighter. He can kick ass as well as defend. I truly never understood why Johnny and Daniel are so headstrong about one way of fighting. It shouldn’t be an all offensive or defensive fighter as both expect. You never know what your opponent will throw and it’s best to have the skills to do both. Robby proved smarter than all the Sensais combined because it’s clear that you need to be a well rounded fighter. He was the first to understand that concept, not the adults, who should be way wiser. he disposed 10 Cobra Kai students by himself, Robby is truly the new Karate Kid and Sam is the second Karate girl like Julie Pierce

Miguel was too in his head thinking about college which did give him the upper hand, but ultimately allowed his desperation and anger take over. while Robby was in a state of stress and anxiety in the beginning of the fight due to not wanting to come in as second best once again. As soon as tory appeared tho, she gave him a sense of calmness and relaxation which helped him center himself. Hawk was a kid with repressed aggression and rage from bullying, that completed himself and found peace with his victory. Robby is looking for purpose and validation that he's more than what he's thought of himself in the past. Each victory has story and character focused undertones.

i think robby has always had some of the best defense out of everybody and a lot of the reasons he lost in the past was because the cobra kai stuff had him switch to an aggressive fighting style. his loss to s1 miguel was because he got injured by hawk and even then he held his own pretty well. he lost to miguel in the school fight and the apartment fight cause he went in the offensive and he lost to hawk cause he fought him with offense as well.
once he went back to miyagi do and focused more on defending, he’s starting to remember his true strength which is defense and that’s his true strength.

This is a foreshow for whats to come in part 3 against Axel. Robby achieving his more balanced potential by doing so is able to beat Axel. Also prob have something to do with miyagi secrets of miyagi-do too im sure...
I knew this would be the outcome of their fight and the continuation of the rivalries were inevitable because rivalries are always popular across various media. It's great to see Robby finally secure a major win, unlike the prom fight, which didn't feel significant despite being his victory.
I also knew this fight would be a callback to Season 1, especially with Miguel's ambition for the leadership role. The main difference now is that both fighters are at their prime, and Robby doesn't have an injured shoulder this time. A fun little detail I like to point out is Robby’s fighting style where he regained his focus and started parrying Miguel’s attacks at ease, highlighting this callback to Season 1 and how he could have won the AVT without the shoulder injury. This fight even proves it and that Miguel was fighting at his best while being honorable, only that his ambition reflected his motives compared to Robby’s which foreshadowed the inevitable outcome.
Just to put the debate to rest, I would like to say that Robby’s win doesn't make Miguel inferior. Their rivalry only shows that they are equals, much like Dante and Vergil in the Devil May Cry series. Miguel’s loss shouldn’t be seen in vain, it just serves as a reminder that even the best characters as well as the protagonists can go through such losses, reflecting the reality that many go through, and we’ve seen it all in various media. I also believe that Miguel’s loss will contribute to his character development in ST where he will shine. In a perfect rivalry story, both characters should be on par. If Miguel and Robby kept fighting, I believe they'd each win half the time, maintaining the value of their rivalry. Constant wins for either character would be repetitive and boring, undermining the purpose of both the protagonist and the rival

I’ll never understand people who say that “Miguel is better,” or “Robby is better.” Sounds to me like y’all are trying to start a war. A divide with a show that has spent the last 7 years trying to bring people together. Truth is they are both amazing fighters and are both deserving. They have both have proven this time and time again. So much so that it doesn’t matter at this point who wins. So going into this final fight in part 3, it is important to remember that no matter what happens, they will both have a future in the world of karate, or whatever path they follow after high school.

To be honest, this move by the producers looks like a blunder. Imagine waiting 3 months for 5 episodes, twice. I just hope the hype doesn't die down or else the finale won't be as impactful as we want it to.

In season 1, Miguel beat Robby at the all valley but those who actually watched the series, know why Miguel beat Robby. All the points Miguel scored against Robby was bc he kept hitting Robby injury. Robby with one arm, he managed to score 2 points. So we can all say that Robby is better than Miguel in season 1.
In season 2, we saw Miguel beat Robby at the school fight before Robby pushed him over the railing. But Robby was winning the school fight until Miguel provoked him. When Miguel said "She doesn’t love you she loves me" that was when robby became very very angry that he wasn’t focused anymore. That was the only reason Miguel managed to pin Robby down. So technically, robby is either better than Miguel in season 2 or they were both equal. I believe they were both equal.
In season 3, we didn’t see Miguel and Robby fight but come on. Let’s all be honest. We all know Robby can kill Miguel in season 3. This shouldn’t even be a debate.
In season 4, if y’all think Miguel won the school fight just because he pinned Robby down, then Robby also won the prom fight against Miguel because he managed to pin Miguel down and he managed to push Miguel in the pool. Plus Robby was almost at his prime in season 4. So Robby season 4 is better than season 4 Miguel. Tournament Robby is better than tournament Miguel too because when Miguel and Eli fought, Miguel struggled to land a point on hawk. But when Eli and Robby fought, Robby landed a point on Miguel very fast.
In season 5, ima be honest. Miguel won fair and square against Robby. There is no debate. Miguel season 5 is clearly better than Robby season 5.
And then finally, in season 6, Robby beat Miguel fair and square too. Dont complaint about Miguel not being focused. Miguel was clearly focused. He even said he really wanted to win. He was very determined to win. He gave everything he could to win but he still got his ass kicked. I also think Robby is better than Miguel in street fight. Because Robby managed to score 3 points in a row. So Robby would probably beat Miguel in a street fight if Robby remained calm and focused. And the only reasons Miguel managed to score 2 points was because Robby wasn’t focused at the start. But when Tory came, Robby got his focused back and he beat Miguel.
