I grew up in London and left the UK 8 years ago but I still love Tube videos. Despite working near Bank/Monument for years, I've used every line bar the Waterloo and City! My appendix burst on a Piccadilly Line train at Gloucester Road and I ended up in the Metro newspaper lol trauma
Wow, what an action packed comment! The Waterloo and city line is just one of those that you can easily get by without using! That sounds like quite the story 😄
I’ve just discovered your channel! Being a: Geoff Marshall, Jago Hazzard, TfL3 and Nick Badley follower and you really stand up against them: smart, fun, lively, knowledgeable commentary and interesting shorts and footage and clean sharp editing. A really excellent product, well done! I shall certainly be subscribing and looking out for more.

My and a few of my friends actually did this, we used every tube line, as well as the trams, Overground, DLR, Thameslink, Elizabeth Line, even the cable cars, it was probably my favourite day in London
Fun fact. The Bakerloo line got its name from its former name when it was owned by London transport. It was originally known as the Baker Street and Waterloo railway and instead of having a super long name they decided to change it to bakerloo!
I got myself a Tube 160 Wallace Sewell Scarf last January. It has a pattern with colours of all London Tube lines plus the Elisabeth line. Warm and cosy in winter, and it reminds me of using public transport in London, which I love.
I’ve had a few comments like this, I was focusing on when it was built rather than when it transferred ownership/name! I’ll try to make that clearer in future 😄
I always thought that the Circle line Offaly opened in the late 1940’s. This was a result of the creation of the loop done by the “Metropolitan Railways” & the “Metropolitan & District Railways” in the late 1800’s
Before Elizabeth line opened, I did all lines (including overground and DLR) in not long over an hour or so. Maybe have been two hours tops. Just one stop on each, changing to another line. Haven’t seen if that’s still possible with Liz.
@@JoeDanHirst I’ve found the route! And it took just under 90 minutes
@@JoeDanHirst The main Circle line takes around 30 minutes all the way around. And the farthest north to south , east to west takes a little over an hour each to do the complete stretch. I like Copenhagen's tube. Fully automatic and they are always so reliable when I'm there. They say they can drive closer together than human operated tubes.
My research for the video told me it opened in 1863 (as a part of the met railway) and then was renamed in 1990 to Ham & City. I was mainly trying to emphasise how old it all is 😄
Been thinking about doing this one. Surprised you say you didn't plan in advance. I've tried Gemini and GPT but it fails to plan as I looked manually at the map and it's not working. How do you reckon? Will you do things differently if you plan in advance for this?
Planning with AI is an interesting idea. In a couple years that will be possible I would imagine, but for now I would first start by picking a day and time that all the lines are running, then just find the best station to start from and work from there!
@@JoeDanHirst Bethnal Green sadly had the most disastrous accident in the tube's whole history when used as a air-raid shelter during WWII. A lady fell in the escalator and the person in front of her fell into the next and so on all the way down to the platform level like dominoes. In total 173 persons was crushed to death. There is several videos on YT about the Bethnal Green disaster well worth looking into.
@@alfsallander3400 Oh I am very aware of this. I've also watched the videos you're referring to. Such an unbelievable thing to ever happen, I believe it's the worst non-conflict related loss of civilian life during the war if I'm not mistaken. At least in London. I understood that it happened from the street entrance and not where the escalators are and that this is how they kept it a secret for years. I may be wrong though. The memorial statue is very striking.

I must have clicked on the wrong channel. You are actually comparing him to the greats of Geoff and Jago? hahahaha.

Great video fella - keep it up with a regular upload schedule and I can see the channel somewhat taking off!
Thank you! That’s the plan 😄
Nisa viewing from Trinidad. So wonderful to travel on one of the worlds most amazing transportation system. I quite enjoy it on my visits to London ❤
the Waterloo & city is technically the newest underground line because it became one in 1994

Nick Badley style footage and commentary

A really enjoyable video. Thanks for sharing your journey my friend
Love this! So underrated!
Thank you 😄
I have travelled through all metro stations in Athens in a few hours
There are about a quarter as many lines and stations as London though
That's awesome, every single station! I can't imagine doing that in London, though it has been done haha
nice video! elizabeth line is my favourite one (the most expensive tho) :)
Thank you :) Yes I use it often! Very nice line!
You should do a collaboration with Geoff Marshall ❤
Now that would be awesome hahaha
The Victoria line gives me a headache
Nice video mate! New subscribers here!! Keep growing and making new videos!! 🎉

I should do this to get my moneys worth of the season ticket. Oslo only has 5 lines so it would not take a very long time
How big is the Oslo one??
