Thank you for this. I watched the video put out by Dritz, but they don't show in enough detail and they go too fast. I loved your tips you gave along the way. I was actually putting snaps on a little purse for my niece while watching the video and ended up putting one on the wrong side, just like you warned us not to do lol, luckily I was able to pry it off and put a new one on the correct side. Thanks for taking the time to walk us through the whole process!
Thanks for this. I would pretty much do everything you are doing right now but probably worse haha. I was really, really hesitant to buy this because it is expensive, but it is an alternative to velcro for my project (something I am not eager to do either). I hate snap ons but they are more convenient when they work.
You made it look too easy to snap the prong into the yellow prong holder. For the life of me I cannot get the stupid thing to snap in. My fingers have bloody poke marks. Lol. Any suggestions? Oops, also the pearl prong won't stay in. 😢 I bought the 7/16th pearl snaps.
I'm having the same problem with mine. The 7/16 pearl snaps will not fit onto the yellow adapter. My Husband measured them with his micrometer, they were all larger than 7/16. We had Dritz and an off brand with the same issue.
I don't think you can with this particular plier, it would be too "hard" on it.... they have a lighter weight one for plastic. I just ordered the set for metal, because sometimes you don't always want to use plastic ☺️
@lcooper7748 I have found that the different brands of snaps have an issue. I measured some of the WallMart brand snaps and the Dritz brand with a micrometer. The Store brand pronged ring backers, have been stamped significantly larger than the Dritz brand.
Oh. Good suggestion about the interfacing.....thanks for sharing

Hey thank you for the comment. Sorry for the late response. Yea I don’t know what it was it that yellow holder. I still struggle with it.

@@hellenacross9537 I am returning this. The 7/16 won't fit into the yellow adapter.
I’m trying to finish a costume tonight and am having the same problem. I’m so upset.

I just bought this but I was wondering can u use plastic snaps ?
I haven’t tried plastic. But I do believe you can

Yeah, the instructions provided on the manual aren't clear at all... close-up demonstration/ pictures are always help!
Right!! I prefer close up pictures or videos.
I HATE this tool. In the trash!
The Dritz too or the little blue one??
@@Mightysew The Dritz
