Wishlist It Here: store.steampowered.com/app/2561530/They_Come_In_Waves/ I've continued work on this game! Check out the recap here: th-cam.com/video/JTFytgQRePs/w-d-xo.html
The Nintendo Switch badly needs a Cod Zombies style game, I'm amazed nobody has not addressed this. This looks incredible though! I would be interested in seeing you add to this and implementing your own ideas. Great work! I'd love to get into video game development, although I don't know where to start.
Ahhh I would love to fill that gap. Let’s see how it all goes. If you haven’t yet, you should check out my latest Devlogs. Would love your feedback. As for getting started in game dev, just start with the smallest projects possible. There are incredible tutorials on TH-cam. It’s one of the most rewarding things I’ve spent my time on.
I really think the word „asset flip“ is overused… i mean the asset store‘s purpose is to not spend a ton of time on making suitable models for your game… and its fine to use them as they come, as long as you don’t download a whole game and brag about how you made your first game when all you did was to adjust settings and stuff.
Well that’s not really what asset are, yes you can use a asset to make your game but that cost around 500 dollars the assets he is using are animations and models which are extremely hard to make and sometimes takes months to make a model. it’s not that easy to play with a few settings assets that allow you to do that cost money like 100 dollars for a ai asset or a shooting system asset would cost like 50 and sure you can find some for cheaper but they don’t work as well.
@@LordGROOVYSilver117those low poly models are actually pretty easy to make, animations on the other hand takes time specially if you have to do all the rigging
I feel that while technically it is an asset flip, you still put in lots of effort to make it an actual game. you were using the assets in the way they were meant to be used rather than just slapping them into the game and calling it done. repurposing them in interesting ways and stuff. great work!
Ah man - I feel like I was always so worried about the feedback I would get when using this many assets, but it's been generally positive all round, which I'm super grateful for - now I can focus on actually getting a fun game out to people! Thanks for your comment :)
People are way to quick with the term "asset flip" - like if you use an asset its automatically an asset flip... I have to agree the commentators before me --> educate yourself what an asset flip is At this stage it is just harsh and disrespectful calling this an asset flip
Im literally doing the same but in 2D. For instakill at 5:30 i simply check if is instakill active and set zombieHealth = 0 right before i do actions when the zombie takes damage
This is one of the best game i've ever seen on youtube. If you could add multiplayer before launching the game would be sick, just imagine playing this with your friends or randoms, amazing video.
i think there is no point making a game in 7 days... if you did nothing at all. i think the point is learning more and more about your skills in general

@@Dogwaterother way round, coding is the easiest part by far, then modeling then animation
@Inv1xxity yea animation is def the hardest as its more creative if that makes sense

This is in no way an asset flip. I suggest you educate yourself on what an asset flip actually is.
Do you even know what an asset flip is?

Hopefully the games have different names lol

as soon as i saw the two trucks I was like:
"Nuketown!"
It's been overdone, but it's iconic nonetheless :D

How do you proceed to do the animations in blender with the arms / guns ? Did you follow any tutorials ? what can I check
Please continue working on it!
