I should have specified: the zombies were only cut in half because I forgot to export the models with “Apply Modifiers” (the model is mirrored across the y-axis), and I knew the problem instantly, but I thought it was really funny so I recorded it but that’s probably confusing to viewers

1:46 Godot does actually have really good 3D. I just said it’s “intended for 2D, not 3D” because Godot 2D is very very amazing and natural. Meanwhile, Godot 3D is great, just not Godot 2D great; Godot is intended for GDScript, which flows naturally, but C# is still great to use (I have tried it) as long as you have prior understanding Godot 3D actually does have a lot of documentation, I just over exaggerated after getting frustrated with the lack of guidance on quaternions and navigation rebaking. Godot 3D and its documentation expects you to already have knowledge on game development, but if you don’t, then you’ll eventually be clueless once you move past bean platformers. Meanwhile, Godot 2D is incredibly easy to use without prior experience Maybe I should write some user contributions myself…
Watching people suffer through game making is genuinely the funniest thing to me so watching this pain was so unbelievably entertaining. The documentation is really great but the more specific a thing you want, the more specific the knowledge they expect you to already have. It's hellish!
Grappling hooks will be in my next update, don't worry The hard part is deciding how to balance the game (if you can grapple around, how would zombies stuck to the ground be a threat?)
Have any prior experience with programming? Trust me, it gets easier, especially once you understand how Godot works. Don’t feel bad that you have to rely on searching stuff up, because that’s entirely what gamedev (and coding) is. I still search up a lot, but it gets easier (the weapon throwing was made entirely by myself, from the KinematicWeapon3D instantiation to the mesh imports and collisions). Just gotta stick with it, you’ll improve as a person no matter the result
Also if you make the head a separate node from the body, then when you're In 1st person you can have set to the heads visibility set as false and set as true in 3rd person.
