I love your garden. It feels so magical. My step father is currently turning the fence in his yard into like a faux building if that makes sense. Like in the end it's going to look like a little store front, but when you open the door it's just a fence. Other than looking really cool, it'll provide shade, and an awning over the patio.

Maybe replace the creeping Jenny with sweet potato vine, it’s much hardier. If you’re going to have a windy storm drape a tarp over your garden to collect all the cherries. I do that in the fall under my huge oak tree to catch the acorn so I don’t have a million little oaks coming up in my flower beds. The garden is beautiful.
I had it there last year as I have potato vines upstairs here in the treehouse, the problem with it out front, the squirrels dig up the potatoes . 🤷🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️
I’m going to leave it for this year as I’ve spent a lot on the garden, just finishing up the front and I’m calling it a day as it’s almost July and that means we only have 2 1/2 months left of gardening 🍃🌸 thanks always xo
Your garden is beautiful, especially the tea table and candelabra. It looks so serene and peaceful. Do you have a birdfeeder? If you put a bowl in the bottom of the empty metal planter you could use it as a birdfeeder. Perhaps a plastic tray with a few tiny holes drilled in the bottom to let the rain run out. Please don't trim out the tree as it provides shade and a safe place for birds to hide or nest. Looking forward to watching more of you videos. Thank you for sharing.

Love your STYLE and what you are creating in the yard is awesome. There were some pretty round platters or trays at your thrift store, I wonder if you could create a bird bath for your garden . Butterflys like shallow dishes with small pebbles they can perch on to drink. 🦋🍃🪴

Love the sconces nect to the window and I even like the mirror in between the chairs. About your creeping jenny, I grow them and I do know they need good soil and good drainage & they love their water! Maybe the bushes are drinking the water up. I hope they survive because they are one of my favs!

Looking beautiful--I so resonate with your aesthetic in all ways. I love seeing items in a new light and using them in unexpected ways also--it makes life more interesting. I spend so much time puttering outside and moving my things around until they are in just the right place. I imagine the neighbors watching and thinking I am mad! I am happy watching another creative doing the same🙂 I wondered about hanging the black mirror on the fence near the dining area? Anyhow, it's all just lovely--thank you for sharing your adventures.
Laugh out loud. I’m sure my neighbours think I’m crazy too. I’m going to find a big mirror for the back wall. I just haven’t found the right one or I didn’t didn’t buy it. I tried the other one around the a reflection wasn’t right.🍃🌸🩷
Lol my neighbors probably think I've lost the plot. 🤣 I don't use a weed wacker, and instead weed by hand. (Wackers do too much damage and hurt my arms). I'm also guilty of sweeping my entire driveway and scrubbing off dead bugs from the siding, without a pressure washer. 😂 I just putter, as you called it.

Pretty, pretty!!! I vote for a lantern (battery operated) on the beautiful hook. Mainly because it's unexpected, but think of how cool that could look at night, when you're out there chilling...

Hi Brooke, I like where you have the mirror but just try placing it on the Paris door to see what that would look like. Also that black metal hanger would look good on the fence or on a tree with a hanging flower basket on it. I just finished watering and feeding my flowers in front of our house and also deadheading some of the flowers. It's so relaxing being out among the pretty flowers.

I just recently had 3 paint cans in a row that were defective !! Was so grateful it wasn't a project that I had to sand over. The cans sputtered all flecks out and then stopped completely.
Yeah, it’s a little frustrating. My girlfriend said she’s had a problem too lately. 🤷🏼♀️
Brooke you could put a wooden shelf above the Paris sign and place pots with hanging vines etc. paint that wooden wall black. 😀

Ouch! You mentioned "Virginia Creeper"! I'm one of the few that is highly allergic to it! I always keep a look out when working in my backyard as the neighbor has it growing wild and out of control Sorry to say, I hate it! I love your little side yard, it's so shady and nice. have you thought about painting out all the wires and pipes along the brick wall so they disappear? Linda Vater did that on her hose in Oklahoma and they hardly showed at all. the little acorns would look nice on the corners of the wall going down to the basement.
Thanks No, because if you paint wire is something you have to do yearly, we have very harsh winters and I’m not into doing that every year . 🍃🦋 doesn’t really bother me anyways. The acorns are ceramic so if it blew over in the wind they would smash and break .

Great ideas . I have a drill & drill bits but misplaced the charger for the battery pack 🤔. It was 103 degrees today ! It’s ok out there in the morning & evening .
You can buy the charger on its own , stay cool I’ve heard it very hot 🥵

I would want to put some trellis' up along low fence to hide the street more. every four feet apart with some vines on it would help a lot i think.
I don’t sit there, I sit in the tree house and when we don’t have water and sewer here for the past three months it is very peaceful street and I love the fence, as it curls around the corner . The tenant patio fence is very high and private 💝🩷🍃🪴
I think the black mirror would look wonderful next to the bistro set. Maybe you could wire it to some sort of stake and have it free floating behind the bistro. Maybe an old lamp stand or shepherds hook or maybe a torchère. I was thinking, hang it from the tree, but it might blow around too much.

I stained my fence almost dark stain it came out beautiful I’d do the same if I were you to the tall fence the same stain as your bricks of the house 👍 you have a beautiful garden
It’s more than just that one. It’s go all the way around into the tenants too so it’s a Projects 🤷🏼♀️not gonna happen this year but food for thought thanks for the suggestion

I usually love the black inside your house. Paris pic is a one in a million perfect as is.. I had a mirror outside. The hot sun broke the glass.. take that home depot used stuff back... I've had great luck with Walmart spray paint..

I run into that with the spray paint at Home Depot, too. People are testing the spray cans out, and spraying the paint in the store on the floor or cardboard. I would recommend you take the cap off of the spray paint before you buy it to make sure that it doesn't have any paint on it. The one you got was spraying funny because paint had dried on the hole. If you clean that off, it would spray right.
Yes your right , I’ve never had this problem before and I go through a lot of spray paint, but lately they either spray funny or they don’t spray at all . Have a great day 🍃🌸🐝

I like the mirror where you placed it. A suggestion add a little patina to the black paint on the mirror frame like a bit of a pewter touch and a hint of a moss color. Just a soft touch to age the look

You live in my favourite part of Toronto. I did my grade 13 at Bloor Collegiate over at Dufferin and Bloor. I havent been back to Toronto in 20 years, but it looks the same in your videos!!!!. @@mamabrooke I moved to New Zealand in 95 after marrying a Kiwi guy I met at Futures Cafe. I love the old brick houses and the big trees in the part of town you live in. Sadly all my friends from Toronto are gone either up north or out west and my sister lives in Vancouver so I travel there when I come to visit Canada nowadays!
