Oh my goodness. It always amazes me what people will just throw out. What a waste that would have been if that would have went to the trash. My Grandfather used to move houses back in the day. He would bring all kinds of stuff home to my Grandmother & the kids that people just left behind or out by the trash. Amazingly nice stuff. You've gotten some really nice plants for your garden. They look good now. But with them being perennials your hard work is going to pay off next year & years to come. A splash here & there of annuals will be all you will need in the coming years. Its so nice!

If you pulled your Psiatic nerve you will never be the same, I hurt mine back in the late 80's and I have been in hell ever since not to mention all the pain from my fibro and edema and hip and hands and shoulders and spine, You need to be careful. ALWAYS stretch before you go doing back flips and hanging from your chandeliers!😆 I got little tiny flowers on my geranium, the plants are coming back, I put the pink one outside on the patio but the white and red are in one pot and are finally getting along together. Moma (chainsaw) Brooke has a nice ring to it LOL😋❤🪚
Brooke, you might think about renting a chain saw and a chain saw on an extender to cut the upper tree branches. This way you don't have equipment that you have to find a place to store and maybe never use again. Just a thought. Your flowers and new plants are looking really good!!!!
Maybe you could get one of the workers out there to cut some branches off for you while he is on break....never hurts to ask...maybe you could cook himself something to eat...
You and I are both so lucky to have Cardinals in our gardens. They're the first birds to show up in the morning and the last to leave in the evening. Not only are they beautiful to look at - they also have a beautiful song.

I know Im late to this video (binge watching your older ones while stuck indoors). I am an avid gardener with a pretty big garden I pretty much tend myself and my husband has whats called an electric pruner thats battery operated. They are the bomb for pruning tough branches and this old bird can work it so I know you can. His is made by DeWalt (Home Depot). That thing is soooo strong and makes quick work of the tasks you are needing to do. My husband said Milwaukee also makes one with a short shaft perhaps to reach inside the shrubs. They are a bit pricey but I used his and absolutely love it. Hope this helps!!

I live where there is alot of wildlife in my area & the birds are abundant ! They make me happy & my son loves them ! He has three baths set up for them ! Loves gardening & is learning alot from his father in between his job ! I love your flower garden & wish we had great thrift shopping up here ! I hit winners & homesense frequently! As far as roadkill here I collect it for my sister & she refinishes what I find! I have so much that I have a separate garage for storage & when someone is in need I am happy to donate ! Yeah Americans think we live in igloos lol we have the most amazing springs and summers our winter we had one snowfall all winter and it was 3 inches that’s . it I live in Toronto if you go to northern Ontario get some snow but the bigger cities now not so much anymore. My geraniums are growing right now in my pantry because I make them dormant and they’re already starting to flower.🍃🌸🍃🌺

Yes it was feel much better today I’ll go back at it tomorrow, it’s been delayed as the workers had to dig for a new water and sewer so we were asked not to do anything in that area and I’ll get it done. It’ll look good next year.🩷🍃🌸🤷🏼♀️
Oh, trust me, I did but…… The neighbour was having a bird about them digging so the foreman was there so they couldn’t do it 🤦🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️ I was so mad . They told me not to plant any there until they have replaced the main water line , that’s why I did it do my front garden until they had there work done … same as they told her and everyone in my neighbourhood, but she didn’t listen and then was mad that they had to take it up so it was a big big ordeal🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️

Thank you for your daily garden inspiration. One thing you mentioned was the woodpecker. Some years ago I had a huge tree in front of my house and a woodpecker came by to peck at it daily. My brother mentioned to me that when a woodpecker picks at your tree it was a sign it was dying. I really didn't expect that this could be because this tree was looking alright mostly but sure enough it did start to deteriorate rapidly and it came to the point I had to have it removed by a tree company. I remember you saw the woodpecker but I wasn't really sure if he was on the tree that is the problem child. You brought back memories. Till the next video will keep watching but I wanted to mention my history with the woodpecker.
Generally, woodpeckers are harmless to your tree although you might want to monitor the situation and consult an arborist if you're concerned about the health of your tree. Woodpeckers eat wood-boring insects that can damage trees. In addition, they help to control the population of these insects. Also, sometimes a male taps away on a tree because he's advertising for a mate and not even looking for food.

it I live in Toronto if you go to northern Ontario get some snow but the bigger cities now not so much anymore. My geraniums are growing right now in my pantry because I make them dormant and they’re already starting to flower.🍃🌸🍃🌺

Yes it was feel much better today I’ll go back at it tomorrow, it’s been delayed as the workers had to dig for a new water and sewer so we were asked not to do anything in that area and I’ll get it done. It’ll look good next year.🩷🍃🌸🤷🏼♀️

Oh, trust me, I did but…… The neighbour was having a bird about them digging so the foreman was there so they couldn’t do it 🤦🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️ I was so mad . They told me not to plant any there until they have replaced the main water line , that’s why I did it do my front garden until they had there work done … same as they told her and everyone in my neighbourhood, but she didn’t listen and then was mad that they had to take it up so it was a big big ordeal🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️

No, I’m sure they’re out there, but I put eggshells around all my hostas and they won’t go on it because it cuts them 🐌

I enjoy my treehouse every day for now the works are here so it’s a no go for me 🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️ we need new water and sewer so it’s all good ,,,, it has not been changed in over 100 year so over do . Take the good with the bad.

Thank you for your daily garden inspiration. One thing you mentioned was the woodpecker. Some years ago I had a huge tree in front of my house and a woodpecker came by to peck at it daily. My brother mentioned to me that when a woodpecker picks at your tree it was a sign it was dying. I really didn't expect that this could be because this tree was looking alright mostly but sure enough it did start to deteriorate rapidly and it came to the point I had to have it removed by a tree company. I remember you saw the woodpecker but I wasn't really sure if he was on the tree that is the problem child. You brought back memories. Till the next video will keep watching but I wanted to mention my history with the woodpecker.
Generally, woodpeckers are harmless to your tree although you might want to monitor the situation and consult an arborist if you're concerned about the health of your tree. Woodpeckers eat wood-boring insects that can damage trees. In addition, they help to control the population of these insects. Also, sometimes a male taps away on a tree because he's advertising for a mate and not even looking for food.
