- {Edit: Durian is not part of the custard-apple family even though I think they're similar. Lime is alkaline.}
Rollinia is in the custard-apple family and is native to South America. Here in Hawaii Rollinia grows well.
Common names
-Wild sugar apple
-Aratiku
-Biriba
Rollinia is a fast-growing, flood-tolerant, sun-loving tropical tree, with leaves up to 35cm long. It can reach a height of 49'.
The wood of the Rollinia tree is suitable for boat construction.

I think so too. If they are really in the same family, it's fascinating how they have evolved differently apart.

OMG rollinia is our favorite tropical fruit of all time, that's why we planted 20 trees on our property. They're babies now, but It's awesome that they grow true to seed and don't take too long to bear fruit :] so cool seeing how abundant those trees you got are. Is that where you live? That's heaven on earth!!
OffGridHawaii I live 950' my friend lives at 600' elevation. His property is more of a farm than a homestead concentrating on mass production of exotic fruits. With less rainfall and warmer temperatures his farm is at a great elevation for growing tropical fruit trees. Mahalo for watching
one of my favorite fruit 😋😋😋 the tastes really so much nice and appetizer.
Can I just say... you’re my new fav youtuber
much much mahalo
Do you sell seeds to this? I am on the hunt for seeds? Would love to grow this in Florida...
no can send seeds
no can send seeds
Jeremy Ewing Its not that hard to find especially for this particular specie of rollinia ( its called rollinia mucosa). You need the seeds to be fresh.Otther rollinias thogh are hard to find .
I love this fruit! It's so delicious. I just now bought a small tree at my farmers market here in Florida USDA 10A . I hope it will produce here
How is your rollinia tree doing?
It looks like a very small durian. Oh, the inside looks exactly like cherimoya! We live in a temperate region and cannot grow trees like these and rarely see such fruits in our stores. When we do they are obscenely expensive. I envy your abundance of them.
"this earth is very blessed in any variety fruits' , vegetables ,fish ,animals ,flowers ,birds ,butterfly and many many mores...#GOD is great and amazing "!! .....
Same same durian thailand
นครพนม สาวญ้อ No it's not Durian
They are custard apple, we eat it when it’s a bit soft. Scoop the meat, put in cups, freeze. Come time for dessert, we add milk evap and we’re in heaven.
You are going to need a bigger bag.Or the longer ladder. Do you eat the seeds? I would imagine that they do not travel well, but are for the local market. Thank you for the video, Gabe
Seeds of this species generally tend to be poisonous so you're not to eat them.

That is a very beautiful looking fruit! Outside and In
I buy it locally, except it is smooth skinned, curved, with no seeds, and has a different taste, with a different name. It tastes sort of like a kiwi, minus the tartness and pineapple/strawberry notes a kiwi has, with maybe a rice pudding texture and flavor added in. Locals here call it a banana, but the difference is probably from cultivation of strains. It has big leaves and doesn't grow to be too old.
Sp yg ngira durian

If you plan on planting the seeds, do it in cactus well draining soil. I planted 32 seed and all of them come out.
We have that, but, in a small size and we've called custard apple, pulp and seeds are similar. Good luck for next, abundant harvest.
