www.helenadaydreamer.com my new shop with jewellery making supplies and more! Anyway, I’d love to hear what you think of these creations and if you have enjoyed watching my slightly crazy video. I had loads fun making it and and I hope you will have fun making your own diy jewelry. Hey and let me know if you do, send me pictures on Instagram, or Facebook, I’d love to see what you make.
I absolutely love all your videos. You have such an effervescent personality! ♥️ I'm sure you brighten the days of many. I definitely gotta try the clay. It will save so much time!! When I made mine, I used CZ's which didn't chip because they are pretty hard (8.5 on the Mohs scale of hardness with 2.15 RI/ aka sparkle index) as opposed to Swarovski crystals (6 to 7 Mohs and 1.5 to 1.7 RI). Swarovski has so many beautiful colors though and I've never shopped for colored CZ's although I know you can buy them loose. You may have just put me on a mission! LOL! 😄 Btw, thanks for letting me know you are on Instagram. I have an account but don't check it often. I'll send you a message there. So... until next time... Have a beautiful day with the little ones! 😊
@@tammygurl64 There you go, I did't even think about making it with Cubic Zirconia at that time! I even had some lying about from old days when I played with Silver clay.. Oh well, time to try it now! I have a good selection of them at the moment (I'm learning how to set stones) and even bought blue Topaz CZ and Saphire CZ. They are stunning!! You have to get some coloured CZ stones Tammy. Or Gemstones, but they seem more expensive 🌞
@@HelenaDaydreamer Omg.... blue stones are so pretty! 💎♥️ That's awesome! Are you making your prong settings or are you buying them and setting the stone? I messed up a setting thinking I could tighten the stone without proper tools and the stone fell out. 😄 I actually started shopping around for some colored CZ's on eBay and Amazon the other day and also looked at lab created gemstones at Rio Grande. I'd love to try PMC Silver Clay one day but right now I'm learning to solder and fuse silver and I've spent a small fortune getting what I needed to do it. Maybe the silver clay will be next.👍 I'd love to do a puffy filagree heart with PMC3 silver syringe. Have you done that before? It looks so cool. I "successfully" (woo-hoo! LOL!) fused my first band ring today using 10 gauge half round Argentium Silver wire. I think I'm going to TRY to make and solder a prong setting but on another ring. I'm gonna quit while I'm ahead on my first one. 😄. I still gotta find you on Instagram. I'll do that this week. Cheers! 😊
I've never seen a super talented, beautiful and skillful woman who's also a mom and has a great sense of humour, knows how to enjoy herself & has a comfortably goofy demeanor. I'm in LOVE with you & your videos! Power to you! ❤❤❤❤❤❤ Will be watching more of it and try to make some jewelry of my own for sure. 🤩
Omg... I had to pause and comment! I made a bezel set almost exactly like the one you started with here.😊 I used a mandrel (or pen) slightly smaller than the stone to tightly wrap a coil first and I finished the back of it last after the girdle of my 8mm round stone snapped into place. I didn't use clay or glue and it has stayed in even after the abuse but I must admit your way of securing the stone is MUCH easier! 👍♥️😊 Omg! Also, I did dangles with the bezel sets but I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the hearts dangling from the bezel set instead and MUST make some!👍 Thanks for the inspiration! Have a great week. ♥️😊
Wow! How cool! We think alike! I have also been thinking about just snapping the stone in, but it kept chipping and I decided to play with resin clay instead. I was a bit worried it would fall out if the bezel stretched, but now I know it doesn't - so thank you for letting me know! I'd love to see your jewelry, message me on Facebook or Insta if you're there 💖 Take care Tammy 🌞
I really like your work, you are so good at what you do. I've had stones for years and haven't known how to make my rings.💍 Now I just gotta get the right glue.
Soooo beautiful!! Now I have tons of ideas for making things with my pointed back swarovski crystals!! Love this! Now time to make them ! Thanks Helena! 😘

Love both the earrings, necklace and especially the ring! :) ❤️ Beautiful work luv. A late happy new year back at yah ;) This really gave me some good ideas, I´ve had crystals like that for a long time (no holes and the "cone! in the bottom) and I struggled to use them while making jewelry with them (yeah, I´m a noob lol) but now I know :D ❤️
Hey that's awesome!! I know what you mean, it can be tricky to make some simple jewelry with the pointed back crystals, I used to struggle too. So glad this gave you some inspo and let me know how your crafting went 😘

K. Bowser hi, exactly, it’s like a glue. But less messy and it adheres better-it’s like two part epoxy but in a clay form. Great for working with crystals.
@@HelenaDaydreamer I tried to Google some information about it but the website wasn't clear. When it dries, is it the colour it is when you put it on the cup? K. Bowser there are some TH-cam videos on Crystal Clay/resin clay, but not that many. To answer your question, it’s not silver, no.
