Julia Kristine can you tell me how long X-ray school is. I heard another video he said four years total because two years prereqs and two years rad program. So is it two or four years
vanessa The length on your program is going to depend on where you go to school. A bachelors degree = four years. An associates in applied science = two years.
Regardless of what program you attend, you have to pass the National ARRT registry exam to become registered to work and depending on what state you live in, there is no pay difference between an A.A.S. and a B.S. as a technologist. The only advantage I see to a B.S. is if you want to go into management. Otherwise, you’ll just have a lot of extra debt

Very motivating to see you put makeup on and do your hair! I’m an MRI technologist and haven’t had the energy lately to do those things!
When I worked my hospital shifts the past couple months, I literally wouldn't do anything to myself! My skin loved it but getting ready in the morning gives me a little sense of normalcy 😊

How long does school take ?
Yes! Yes! Yes! I am not even in the medical field but I loooooved this!! You are a frickin champ working like that so take all the time you need girl!! You are thriving and killing the game! Idk if you're allowed to talk about it but it would be great to know how work is going with the pandemic and if there are things you have to wear or do that normally wouldn't be so strict (again not in the medical field so I'm clueless lol)

Congrats on graduating!! Hope you’re nailing it. I wish you would have told us more about your actual first day. I was curious to see how it went. Fellow rad tech here for over five years and it’s still a good time! (Most of the time.)
I had zero xrays for the first two weeks so sadly there wasn’t much to talk about besides orientation and learning protocols/procedures! Haha I’m actually moving into CT and MRI next month so I’ll be sure to integrate that into those videos!

I'm looking into this position. Whats like work/life balance? meaning is it hard to take a day off/switch shifts or take occasional vacations?
That's totally dependent on where a person works, if they're short-staffed, etc. My situation may be completely different from someone else's so it's kind of difficult to give an accurate answer!
