  • Hi! As many of you know, I recently moved out of America to come live in the Dominican Republic (digital nomad lifestyle) and of course I had to bring Milo with me. :)
Honestly, it was a lot of work but it's totally worth it! I hope that this video helps you on your journey, and if you are moving somewhere new then comment it down below!!

You give important details about one of the most stressful aspects...the health certification and all its time restrictions.its not something you can do too early or it is invalid. My vets had never done one so i paid twice to do it and make sure it was approved...then we did again on the right date...because Italy required the stamped endorsment not the electronic. There was some mistakes so it was good we did a rehearsal.

Sometimes the cat carrier has the smell of past cats or the vets office. Get a new one like you did and it’s working out great!

hi, I believe there is a limit for one pet per person on international flights. Be sure to check with your airline!

Thanks for this video, it is very informative, especially the part about veterinary certificate. There are no simple way to find all the information about this process, even receptionists at vet's office who has USDA certified veterinarians couldn't tell a lot about how it's done. So frustrating.
We plan to take our cat from US to Canada for few months and then back, we haven't even got tickets yet but this already causing me an immense amount of stress.

There is a very good article "How to Travel with a Cat" and I think it would be useful for cats' lovers.

It actually IS more complicated than you think within the US, especially if you have a large cat and depending on the airline.

Great video! Moving from Houston Texas to Oslo Norway with 4 anti social cats using KLM Airlines. Conflicting information about in cabin for two cats and and cargo with two cats. Any suggestions

I just watched this as I was searching for videos about traveling with a cat. I'm leaving with my cat next week from France to the US. On top of the flight time, I have connections, two of them, 1h30mn each.
I researched a lot, and yes airlines reps give you different answers, or contradicting ones, for the same questions which among others was about the size of the pet carrier or under seat measurements. One agent told me L13xW13xH8 which is the under seat measurement on one segment of my trip on that flight that Can you imagine how small that is?? It's almost cruel to put a cat in there for long hours of travel. Another agent gave me different measurements. Anyway, my question to you is how difficult was it to get your cat out of his carrier and how did he react at the security check? Did you give him any meds to calm him? My cat is a super scared and sensitive cat, she grabs onto her carrier so that I don't bring her out when we go the vet. Her whole body shaking of fear. I'm so worried. Thank you for this video and your reply to me.

Thank you so much for this video!!! I'm going from Ecuador to Canada with THREE cats. My mom and brother are coming from Canada just to help me take them in cabin. American airlines is a choice but it says they only take military personnel pets so I was planning on taking united airlines. Bagheera is 10 lbs but kind of tall so I liked their 11 inch height carrier requirement. I got a carrier that's exactly 11' in height but can pop up an extra 3' when we are not on the plane. It's going to basically be a 24 hour trip. My question is: your connecting flights were they all American airlines? Because I keep reading on the airline pages it has to be the same you can't switch airlines which is super stressful. I have spent 8 hours just researching lol I'm so nervous but I wouldn't leave without them. ❤

Hi have you traveled already?! I took two flights with the same airline. I would suggest doing it that way to avoid any issues. Good luck!!!

Congrats on moving with your cat. My biggest concern is not the main leg to Colombia, but the leg to ADZ in smaller plane. Did DR authorities inspect your cat upon arrival?

In Miami, did they measure and weigh your carrier? Was the plane to the DL charted by American Eagle because I read they require an even smaller carrier only 16x12x8 inches.

In miami they didn’t do anything at all, I boarded the plane as usual with my cat. :) From my experience, once you’re inside past security, you’re good to go.

I will be traveling internationally with my two cats very soon. Your video was very helpful! Could you please confirm if clumping clay litter is permitted to be carried in cabin with the disposable litterbox? If yes, how much can I carry?

  • @icanonlyimagine4589

How did you transport the carrier through the airport? The cat and the carrier are pretty bulky/heavy. Did you carry it the whole time or have some way to roll it? Or what?

Yes! I still use this when I take him to the vet or in the car. It's my favorite for sure: amzn.to/3O6E2st
