    Would love to see you go over everything the rcx8 has to offer. Maybe somehow to. I have one still trying to learn. I use my for drag racing.

    If my old fly sky It4s ever dies, I'll definitely be grabbing one of these. I haven't seen many people mess with the telemetry options/displays. That was the only reason I bought a touch screen radio. I really prefer to have battery voltage and motor temperature live on my screen. Saved me a lot of $ when testing gearing my big offroad rigs and saves a long walk of low voltage shame 😂

      Thanks for the tip! Maybe I will mess with that more and see how to set it up on here. I know they claim to have capability for all of that.

    Thanks so much for this! Now I'm thinking about throwing the receiver in some of the awd drifters like my little 18th scale hoonicorn and that 1/18 wl drift truck.

    • @RoadsideRC
      @RoadsideRC  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Have you found a gyro to help AWD? For me, it really disrupts an AWD drift - they just don't need a gyro.

      @@RoadsideRC haven't even tried it! I wouldn't say any of them "drift" well. More like slide a little longer before losing traction. It was going to be a science experiment that may never come to fruition.

    As far as going from 14ms (analog) to 4ms (digital), the biggest thing I found with my Yokomo servo is that it recenters the wheels more accurately. Forna while I thiught it was just slop, but turns out it was mostly that it wasn't running digitally.

    • @RoadsideRC
      @RoadsideRC  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That is fairly common when setting something up like this. All of the different manufacturers orient things differently. That is why we have that feature!

    How would you say it compares to the gyro that came with the RDS? I use the internal gyro from my rc6gs on a 3d printed RWD chassis and i feel like it drives better than my RDS ever has, which has confused me for quite a long time.
    Many people have told me the factory redcat gyro is meh, so i was looking for your opinion on them.

    • @RoadsideRC
      @RoadsideRC  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The factory RDS gyro is a solid performer - mid-level gyro. It is GREAT for a factory gyro, but certainly there are better ones on the market for an upgrade.
      This built-in gyro is NOT better.
      To get your RDS driving better, work on the front suspension alignment (I have a separate video on that, if you are interested). I have a RTR RDS with only a controller upgrade - and it hangs with most folks at our track.
