Cheers Martin and thanks for taking the time to comment. It’s a wonderful spot and is definitely the most spectacular remaining section of the old Norwich city walls 🙂
Hi Sue - they would have been mass buried in a plague pit - there are a few sites around Norwich both inside the city walls and just outside which may have been used - where exactly these sites are is still up for debate
Hi Alan - it is a shame as this particular section is so spectacular - the one benefit of it not being widely known is it’s extremely quiet to visit which is nice - there is currently some work being carried out to stabilise the upstairs doorway so it is kept an eye on to some degree 🙂
I stopped watching as soon as I heard the whacky music. Such a shame as an accompanying dialogue would have been so much better than on-screen subtitles.
a very atmospheric and enchanting video, the music really brings it to life awesome!!

Wow, loved this ! Well done 👏 Black tower looks amazing ! I'm surprised the brick steps haven't crumbled away. Keep up the good work 🙂
Thank-you for tuning in again and the support - nice to see the spiral staircase still intact - albeit a bit crumbly 🙂
Beautifully filmed and such a sad history.
Thanks Sophie and nice to hear from you 🙂
Its beautiful and so much history there even if it sad history. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Bonnie - incredible history to this priory - visited a few times now and never disappoints 🙂

Thanks very much 🙂
Do you know where the plague sufferers were buried?

It definitely should be taught to future generations before so much of our history is lost forever - thanks for commenting 🙂
@@HauntedandAbandonedNorfolk Totally agree. Norwich has such a rich history.
@@HauntedandAbandonedNorfolk thank you.
Middle Ages 1154-1485.
This remaining tower and stretch of wall beyond really should be better preserved than this. Where is the Norwich Society?
