Ma'am that is a really hip gentleman playing mandolin. His name is Eugene Edwards and hes been with Mr Yoakam quite a few years now.

Wife and I met him in Nashville the day after a Friday night Dwight Yoakam show at the Ryman.
Bumped in to him at a retro country apparel shop called Katie K's.
Been friends ever since.

I've seen Dwight 12 times my first time was Buenas Noches Tour with Buck Owens and Flaco Jim'enez my last was the Swimming Pool's and Movie Stars. Hands down one of the best entertainers you will see. When he starts touring again go see him you won't be disappointed

His mandolin player is also one of his guitar players. I've see Dwight Yoakam twice in concert and both times that guitar/mandolin player has jammed out on any thing he plays.
