Thank you for all the views!!!!
It's so awesome that the younger generation is playing music that our generation listened to growing up. You guys did an awesome job. Thanks for posting
Even better: They clearly had so much fun playing the song 🤩
Younger generations are going to be listening to music that we grew up with for a very very very long time. I consider myself lucky to grow up when I did when I compare the music I listen to growing up to the music people have to listen to now. I also feel very very sorry for the kids today.
Tell you guys an amazing SJB story , 6 years ago my sister passed , as kids we all loved the Beach Boys , we went to a Beach Boys concert when we were kids , our fave song was SJB , after she passed away I was taking a lot of her things to friends in Vancouver , driving along about 1630 with the radio on , alone in the car I asked her to play SJB , as God is my witness seconds later it came on the radio , love you Carey , Rest in Peace .
That’s amazing!
Thanks for sharing. WOW.
I love the story about your sister.
Sometimes the people we love who have left us send us a message when we need it most. I lost my sister 6 years ago myself to cancer so I understand. I'm happy you got your sister's message.
Awesome, awesome, awesome!!!( She's Happy ,brother!!!
She hits it right on the nose
she can sing this perfectly
The whole band and vocals are incredible
I’m hooked on this one for a while I see
He. That is a boy. A long haired boy.
When the young people do the right thing, you have this. Bravo!
Thank you, Bojan!
@@LosRiosRockSchool It's from the bottom od my heart. Beleive me, I'm 55 and all my life listen all kinds od music. Be the first person who would tell you that it was mistake with this masterpeace. So, you did a great Job and, please, go on. You have resorces to do that! Best regards, Bojan!
Très jolie musique immortelle. MERCI Mamadou CAMARA (SÉNÉGAL )
From a 74 year old lifelong Beach Boys fan.....thanks, you youngsters did a great job on one of their classic songs.
They don't make music like this anymore
I agree.
What an interesting talented singer this girl is, doesn't need any gimmicks to make her look like a talent, she radiates it and proves it. Her and the musicians made this song better than any others ,hope to see more.
I have been a Beach Boys fan for over 45 years, and Sloop John B was always my favorite, and all I can say is WOW!
I also have been a fan of the beach boys since the early 60s and have listened to many covers and I must say this is one of the best covers of this song I've heard keep up with the good work
Thank you, Gary!!
Me Too !!!!
Awesome cover indeed! Congrats guys and gals!
@@LosRiosRockSchool great job holy shit
Absolutely wonderful. The vocals, instruments, the entire song is great.
The best thing is that Mike Love was not on the original recording…
Yes.
The lead singer is just fine. Nice smooth delivery. This is not a concert, it's a recording session, and a great one.
Couldn't agree more!
no.its soulless. the josh turner one is the benchmark
The lead vocal is just outstanding!!!
Exactly the right feel - slightly druggy and way too sunburned.
She is extremely beautiful.
For anyone wondering who the lead singer is, her name is Elle Sanders, beautiful voice.
Nice One
Quite cute also
She is the sister of the drummer?
Sloop John B is one of those songs that seems to resonate with each generation and is timeless. It's also a song that can be interpreted in different ways (compare the Kingston Trio with the Beach Boys). This is a terrific version, wonderfully performed, well done all!
Yeah, I agree with you. There are so many ways that this song can be felt and interpreted. It's almost a standard, one of those songs that an artist must have in their repertoire to perform. Surely a great accolade for the Beach Boys. Above all is the feeling.
You kids are awesome. I don’t know any of you but proud of you all!
The drummer is perfect. He gets that song requires intensity, but not loudness. He also seems to be having a blast.
Dennis was self-taught! I think the kid just understood this and just stuck with basics. Bravo
@@geejoe911 Dennis Wilson? Yes, about Dennis, but Dennis wasn't the drummer for the Beach Boys recording sessions. Hal Blaine, member of the Wrecking Crew session musicians, was the drummer on Pet Sounds. The drummer for this cover is great, with the right intensity.
@@DavidEdelsohn I was referring to live live performances obviously 🙄
Great rendition. The lead singer has the right voice for this song.
The lead singer had an amazing voice. I love the passion of all the musicians in this video. Thank you!
passion? Seems to me like they have no passion at all. You have to look like you are enjoying the music, not just trying to get it right.
@@enzopalumbo2164 she sounds like shes sleepwalking through it, or at least bored by what she's singing
@@imisstoronto3121 It's a girl?
@@Janto1951 I'm not sure, I thought boy, but????
@@Janto1951 Yep defo a girl. Saw her in another video!!!
Wow, man, if I could have been a part of something like that when I was a kid I'd be miles ahead in my music. These kids are spectacular!!
I've watched this video so many times..keep going back to the amazing talent every one of them have, and watching the drummer having so much fun, lead singer nailing the mood and song
this is the best trip ive ever been on
Yep, that is the truth
What a stunning voice and beautiful singer well done to all of you
She is an amazing young singer, and beautiful too.🎉🎉🎉
The expression of delight on the face of the bassist as soon as he hears the introduction note on the keyboard (originally the flute) is one reason l keep playing this video over and over again.
That was the only expression of any emotion in the entire video. Nice chops and good harmonies, though
Great singing and harmonies. You nailed it!!
I’d like to know where that lead singer has gone with her awesome vocals with 3 years having past since this was posted.
Me too 👍❤️
Me too!
Lead singer technically sings the song well enough but there’s a flatness to it. No depth, not much soul. Maybe too young
@@tonyc413 That's what I thought. But thought it was "just me". The song doesn't excite her - and it comes across is her voice.
@@tonyc413this comment is rather flat as well.
This an EXCELLENT performance!
My word..............
great rendition. I love seeing the younger generation honoring the older generation
So nice to see these kids have such interest in music, and are so talented ! And to get into the old school tunes..loving it, and continue to listen often ! Makes me feel good to see not all kids are just throwing away their years !
That is an awesome job, I just love seeing all the facial expressions as they play their instruments and the back-up vocals sure do add to this song......
My all-time-favourite song of the Beach Boys. Hats off to all of You for a wonderful version as a fruit of undeniably hard work of all team.
Absolutely fantastic!! Great musicians, lead singer is growing and will be outstanding!
Excellent! Brian and Al would be proud, I'm sure!
I am always glad when I see kids todays doing covers of good time classics. Good to see some kids who know what real music is
Yes where did she end up
Can’t stop watching this
Done perfect
The whole band and all the voices
And the lead singer is so on point
This song brings back so much memories
@ellesanders9695 The singer properly understands that the grandchild character is enduring crappy circumstances ... not overcoming them. She pulled it off beautifully.
She also gets that she should not be trying to show off her voice range or be decorative. She instead maintains a minimalist simple flat tone which hits the target. Also allows us to better enjoy the harmonies and layers of the talented choir and instruments.
She avoids trying to be the center of attention ... and this ironically creates a performance in which she is memorable.
Thumbs up to the arranger and conductor and mixer. Camera work turned out great.
Congratulations to everyone involved for your superb teamwork and for building your catchy remarkable treatment of a classic song.
Outstanding, just outstanding.
Awesome these kids have a great future ahead go for it ❤
Nice. Very nice. The vocals and harmonies...are exquisite. A hallmark of fantastic musicianship. Wow. Very nice. Very encouraging as well...is the interest in the youth today, in such classic tracks. Nice to see the younger generation appreciate true magic. (The music of today...totally lacks the quality of yesteryear).
OMG!!!!!!!! That was AWESOME . I Love watching young talent have soooo much fun playing like this.
Couldn't be more proud of these students. Most notably, no ego in the room. It wasn't about them individually but rather the music they were delivering. And wow...did they deliver!
I love the lead singer's voice its good.. arrangements were done very well and backup was awesome.
Maybe a little less emotion nx time. 😳
@@scottski51 Agreed. Someone get that choir some coffee.
Two enthusiastic thumbs up. These guys are great and what a wonderful rendition of SJ"B! KEEP IT UP!!!
Those kids are really great ! I hope they keep working with music 👍
what a superb rendition and the lead vocalist has a wonderful voice. I love it!
Wow absolutely stunning 🎵🎵🎶🎶❤️❤️
Just came across this. Great lead voice and great harmony. Amazing instrumental.
Just awesome! The drummer kills it. Mad props to all!!
Loved this song and these kids did an awesome job, I always loved the Beach Boys
Very nice So much energy. Great drummer.
Fantastic version.. Thank you !
I heard this rendition, then heard a studio clip of the behind-the-scenes making of the Beach Boys' version, and then went back and listen to these kids. They knocked it out of the park.
Wow. Just perfect
I’ll play this every night
Just came across this rendition and you nailed it. BRAVO!!
the drummer is great, he steals the show!!
As a kid of the 60's I loved this song and have played it thousands of times. It's a masterful arrangement and I thank you for keeping it alive!
Well done. Carol Kaye's bass shines in the original, and here as well. Hal Blaine's drums just perfect. The original was production perfection, and a high standard, and you nailed it. You guys got chops.
I have always loved Carol Kaye and the wrecking crew. They made some great music. Glen Campbell was one of my favorite members

That voice is amazing, who is the singer and what other songs are done by this person
Brilliant rendition. Thanks.
I loved this cover! I was a little boy when this song first came out. I loved it then. Thank you for sharing your talent.
This a great cover. The lead singer plays it just right and the arrangement is spot on.
Oh for sure these young men literally restored faith that there r loving caring respectful young people. Thank you for one best cover of this great song. Listen to your version every day if not 2 or 3 times.

Thank Young Men and Women…for keeping the old Traditions alive….YOU are our future! Nicely Done ✅
I appreciate the TH-cam algorithm keeping this haunting and clean version on my radar. It is the best version of this story I’ve heard in my almost 80 years.
One of the Best Versions out there.!.!
Absolutely brilliant rendering of a classic song!
Very well done very very well done. I am of the age that I saw them do this originally in concert. Thank you for reliving it
Love this rendition, Love the BB's and thank you for the WONDERFUL MEMORIES.
I've listened to so many versions of this song, including the original and I think you guys have produced the best version ever made. Not just a little better, but an order of magnitude better than any other version. Amazing! Thank you ❤❤
Wow, thank you!
I have to agree (mostly). Better than the rest, and on par with the original.
a lot of very good musicians and vocalists
Equals Brian (almost) with the benefit of knowing Brian’s version but it’s fantastic rendition 👍
so refreshing to see young people doing stuff like this instead of out doing drugs or something else they shouldnt be doing... this is awesome
You nailed it. There are many layers vocally and instrumentally to this seemingly simple song but you got them all!
absolutely fabulous beautiful song beautifully sung well done one and all .what talent you all have
This brings back awesome memories of the 1960s, the Beach Boys, and good music.
This is absolutely amazing band and good vocals
I am Sharing this to the world to see Everyone deserves to see and hear this

@@gerathybud yup I got it....thanks for the hook up! These guys are pretty good.
Wonderful blond singer, what a voice he has...🎉🎉🎉
I like it's sounds tight at first then it goes too smooth everybody comes together. I listened too alot of people do this song
You guys nailed it.
Great song, covered by very talented young kids ! I've been a Beach Boys fan for 60 years (I was 11 years old) when I first heard Surfin USA and Little deauce coupe in 1963.
Thank you!!!
It's truly amazing and inspirational when you see young people taking on old songs and doing an amazing job performing them these kids are absolutely wonderful
LPVE THE DRUMMER....HE IS HAVING SO MUCH FUN...CARRY ON YOUNG MAN
65 years old, glad to see this1
Thank you for making me smile with your fresh take on an old song! You Youngsters are wonderful!😊

Love how the bottom is up in the mix, really moves the melody

Thank you, thank you, thank you for doing the song the way it was written! A timeless classic that needs no fancy updates. You guys (and gals) sounded great!
Every one of those kids is loaded with talent
This is outstanding!
This is one of my favorite songs of all time & your group did a fantastic job with it! Keep up with your music!
Great rendition of a '60s classic. It warms my heart to hear kids from the new millennium performing hit songs of MY era. I grew up listening to these classics. Bravo kiddos don't ever stop because there's SO MUCH great songs from the '60s out there.
It's fun to think that this song has been sung by several generations of young people! It's a Bahamian folk song (apparently about a real 17th-century sloop), that was first transcribed in 1916 by Richard Le Gallienne (an English poet who earlier had an affair with Oscar Wilde). Then it was recorded by the Weavers and the Kingston Trio in the 50s, before being popularised again by the iconic Beach Boys version in 1966.
