Solid video. I honestly was anticipating the 1000hp drop with the drag pack, but appreciate the "conservative" 750... That's where I'm at with mine, and for now, it's enough. Hoping "for now" stays that way for a long time to come.
I can speak from the deep end of the pool, I hardly ever turn mine up and keep it turned down to ~750whp to enjoy on the street, car made 1040whp @ 35psi over a mile up in altitude. Thinking of detuning a bit to make it more balanced, I can say my personal sweet spot is around 800whp range, I have more, but I don't use it hardly ever.
@@supram4n Good to know! Ha.. I bet that's a laggy lil thing.. I'm here in the DFW metroplex and there's never NOT traffic.. so I think unless you're purpose-built to use for drag racing, the 1000hp mark is mostly for bragging rights.. don't get me wrong, it sounds like it would be cool to say, but kinda useless for where I'm at, geographically, and in life.
@@CheesesSupraI 100% understand. I was in the DFW area too. Was aiming for big power for no good reason. I don’t drag race. Just want to enjoy the car so I’m downsizing my current build. The next gen precision lineup looks great. 6466 or 6870 looks promising for a killer street setup!
Always awesome to see good MKIV content! I've never understood the "drag pack" setup. Per Supraforums, I was the first to run 15" Welds with drag radials (BFGs) back in 2003. While great for the dragstrip, it's a horrible wheel/tire setup for the street. You have to run MT drag radials at 25 psi max and they're flat dangerous to drive on beyond a 1/4 mile blast at the dragstrip and completely ruin even a casual driving experience. There are streetable R compound tires that hook much better on asphalt as the MT drag radial compound is meant for prepped surface use which it does very well. They also look dumb on the street with a 28" rear OD combined with 18"s up front in what look like below 26" OD. Just sayin... ❤
I got a 1.5JZ 90 Supra. Man I love that car😩 I’m running a GE block with gte rods, 1j pistons, BC272 cams, springs and retainers, Bosch 1000cc injectors in a Radium Fuel rail, Borg Warner S300, EBay 1j exhaust manifold VS Racing wastegate, Tweakd wiring harness for ECU Masters EMU Black, GM flex fuel sensor, ar5 manual box. I’m only at 10psi on 93 pump for now and that thing gets loose😩 can’t wait to got for 25psi on that 🌽🏪🌽
my main reason to want one is I like the goofy happy look they have I like the turbo Sound somewhat and this is a super clean build I like the stockish OEM+ look because honestly here is a point where you can go too far
@40sec 🥶😍😍😍😍😍 it doesn’t get any better for me! That sound! I have the same type of 4” titanium setup on mine! And it’s loud! And the look just tops everything off!
@@TunerTestDrive yea it was a pleasure installing it that’s for sure! The weight is crazy! And I feel like the sound is different between titanium and stainless !

Agreed. If you ever do want to go that route (don’t do it), I do have a precision 8285 for sale 🤣

The aftermarket is just so strong for this platform it’s hard to just stay content.

@@crystalcactuis.w I feel like nowadays it’s more rare to see a supra with the stock spoiler. Everybody gets the TRD style. I just never cared for it.
Saw youre from pennsylvania , will we gonna see you at pocono roll race this summer may 5 ? Lets go !
I’m on the west side of PA unfortunately
I'm in canada 9h of drive 🤷🏻♂️

It’s hard to beat that 2JZ sound. The Tomei 4” is a nice exhaust and extremely light weight.

The spring clips were a little bit of a pain but overall not bad.
Black on black it looks so crispy! My fuckin dream car. Wish I could own one
I appreciate it man! If you really want one, you’ll find a way to get one someday.
i’d love to see this in person. i’m also in PA. I absolutely love the MKIV JZA80
I’m out in eastern PA. I bring this car out to a few shows/cars and coffees out this way.
@@TunerTestDrive i’m in Lansdale so that shouldn’t be too hard 😅 maybe next season
Sounds phenomenal, looks great, and not over done anywhere.
Well done sir.
Now leave it alone and drive it lol
Thanks Vance. That’s the plan…..for now.
I thought this was going to be some dumb click bait shit but you're right! I can confirm I own a 93.
Good to see this resonated with other Supra owners.
How do they corner with drag tires on em
custom seats are sick, what seat is the top half from?
Not sure, I bought them from someone else. They’re likely some style from Sparco
Where did you get CF front plate in front of the fan shroud? I want one for my car.
The original company that made these is Retrospec Carbon. Though there are more suppliers now such as TBT carbon and maybe some more.
i"m already 4 years deep and mate 40k later im only pushing 360whp x_)
You can make 800wheel on stock everything with lager injectors and turbo and manifold.
I assume you’re starting with an NA then?
First needa get a mk4
Crazy you live down the street lmao. So sick. (The idiot that bought those dodge stealth wheels)
Do you still have the stealth? Haven’t ran into you in a while.
