The month January is much older than Roman. More months to follow.

Always enjoy your ‘sense-making’. Who were the sense-makers of ancient times? We could follow in their footsteps x

Glad it made sense. It burnt out a few of my brain fuses getting it all together. Who were the sense-makers of ancient times? Good question, they were our ancestors: they covered a large part of the world from the Black Sea to the Atlantic Ocean and up to the Arctic Sea. They named these seas, we might call this civilisation Atlantis.

Great content, love your video. The audio of your voice this time however had some reverb that can be rather distracting with headphones on.
Look forward to the next video. Keep up the good work.

Wonderful to see you back in action. This was right up my street, and it got me wondering whether the '-šanš' element of 'Culšanš' might equate to 'Janus', linguistically speaking? Greatly looking forward to February, so to speak.

Thanks Marchell. I looked into Culsans, but decided to leave it out because it would have made the video even longer. Cyl in Welsh sounds cul in English and Cyl means 'a concavity', Sa means, 'what is fixed' and can refer to a star. the suffix -an or -en or -yn can imply a thing, a name or a small thing. So Culsan may mean 'the mimum/concavity of the star/sun', which is the Winter Solstice.

G'day from Australia Hugh. Just curious if youve delved into Saturn and its alleged significance to time.
    Thankyou 🙏
    Kind regards

G'day Dane. I have written a little more in my book The Origin of Time, that I have just finished and am now editing. It will be available very soon. Saturn is Sadwrn in Welsh. Sa means to be fixed, dwrn/twrn means to turn. I will write more in another work I am planning. Best, Hugh

Sorry mate, I'm trying to find your video where you are explaining the phonetic sound of
      K K (sounded out)
      The double K sound.
I've watched quite a number and now been trying to find it.
Hopefully this is enough info 😅 thanks Hugh 🙏

I don't think I have done that. There is no K in Welsh.

@@originofthezodiac9856 Hi Hugh. Could it be because January was originally the 11th month of the year? Paul from 'What The Flock TV' has made many videos about Janus. Very intriguing. Thank you for the hard work and dedication you put into your research. I live in Mid Wales, but my family are from the Gwynedd area, so I know it well. Diolch yn fawr.

Hi Smarty, thanks for your comment. It is my hypothesis that the start of the year was March 21st, the Spring Equinox. I think there have been a lot of views and changes thereafter. The main groups who have tried to define the start of the year are solar watchers and lunar watchers, each vying to assert their predominance.
Mid Wales is a beautiful location.
