How to have Xbox audio come through your headset / earbuds only and not through your TV. Works for Xbox Series X, Series S or One.

if you did everything right and you're like me, press xbox logo button on controller and go down to the 🔊 symbol at the bottom which is "audio and music" and make sure your "headset chat mixer" isn't on one side

I play the Series X on my Monitor and my Monitor has speakers so the sound did come from my monitors but i wanted the sound through my headset which i plugged into the controller. Finally it works, thank you

This didn’t work for me until I unplugged the headphones and then the tv audio finally came through my headphones. I was about to give up then I literally did everything here again and replugged the headphones and it worked

Left side (party chat output box) there's a option that keep the problem if enabled. Look at the left box that says "Mute Speaker audio when headset attached"!! Now you GO!!

Guys if its not working just leave your settings how it is on the video then go to party chat mixer on the home screen and for the vlolume in the second one insted of it being all the way up try putting it down thats what i did and it worked for me 😅

When I plug my mic into the controller, I can’t hear anyone talk through my TV speakers. I check the settings and I have party chat output set for headset and speakers. I do not have mute speaker audio when headset is attached because I want to hear on both. Any ideas.
