      @@RacingRamFam Got the "motor home special" out of a 75'. Gonna rebuild it for better compression then figure out the mounting and slap it on in with a 727 trans

      On those old motors it was the head design that made them low compression. You’ve just gotta find 440 racing heads

      No the pistons are like .070 in the hole lol I rebuilt a motor home engine for my buddy 3 years ago

    Check your idle air control valve. It should go wide open to catch the decelerating engine so it doesn't stall.
    The ECU also has a sensor on the steering gear supply line in some trucks that will bump the RPM by 50 if it sees pressure.

      how do you read the IAC as wide open? does it just need a new IAC or can you change the way it performs?

      @@troyrogers1236 it needs to be calibrated. It is a 5 volt sensor so operating range is roughly 0.5v to 4.5v. Every sensor reads atmo (14.7 psi) at a different voltage. Need to let the ecu know that info.

      So my truck is an auto from factory, sometime in its life it was manual swapped. They left the auto computer in and harness. They also grounded the neutral safety switch. If I push in my clutch from a high rpm foot off the throttle it’ll kill itself. I’ve replaced all my sensors pertaining to the motor. I think these motors kinda sound like Cummins. I love the way whitie is lobing and chopping. I’m really excited to see whitie too move! I’d be down to watch a live video session! Overall it was really cool to see all the different options in the tuning software. I’m gonna do my homework on some back ground info!

      You can tune that out with the tuner! And I’m pumped to see whitie hit boost and I figure out why tuners charge so much lol

    So badass! Glad to see videos of the 5.2 with a tuner, would love to have a camera view on the computer while you tune it say have on screen monitor to view tuning and see data as it happens, it would help us see what you have done to tune it as well as monitor whats going on, love when the computer is hooked up to do tunes but wanna see in depth behind it

      Shoot if you get her driving would love to see on screen view of the computer with live data then hear audio of it drive etc then could hear how it does with different tunings etc then will be able to see if anything falls short or needs adjusting etc definitely think with more data logging you guys gonna find the pristine 5.2 tune, i wanna know what it takes to tune 5.2 turbo with like 6psi, still am very mindblown about the timing changing with transmission, seems like the manual 5.2 rip but the auto lags and definitely see why now fricken weird how they pull timing between shifts

    You guys I think you said you ran the Hughes 214/218*110 cam. I have that exact cam. I have the 3200 tuner but I've had a few people write the tunes, this is the first vid I've watched showing it. Nice job.

    just so you know red or blue dosent mean out of limit red= higher number than stock blue= lower its to show values that have been altered

    By what I have read, it sounds like the Dashpot Decay Rate. Reducing the dashpot decay rate will prevent stalling, if it is in fact your problem.

      @@RacingRamFam injector shut off on decel you can turn this off so this it does not shut off the injectors for engine braking.

      @@RacingRamFam IAC needs to be ramped up so when throttle slams shut it will keep air flow up. Also, efi tuning youtube channel uses ignition timing to control idle as it's a lot quicker to respond than fueling.

    Do I need to change fuel injectors , pump , map , and get a specific tune if I’m doing most of this but just the cam , timing , and Valve train upgrade? I’m keeping it N/a

    Man am I glad I found this, I do have a few questions for you. I just got Advantage 3 with my SCT for my 03 Ram 2500 with the V10 Magnum and 48RE, looking to disable rear O2 sensors and can’t help but notice your settings are similar with these JTEC computers. Have you messed with oxygen sensor configuration or the faults? I appreciate any help and this 318 Magnum is very impressive! Hoping to using one of those in my older Dodge car in search of 400hp NA

    Even with a tune, my 02 360 stalls when the computer resets. Like a disconnected battery wipes out the memory and it takes 130 drive cycles to stop stalling. It’s because of my bigger SRT injectors. But once it learns it screams!!! Hope this helps.

    Hey new to your chanel ,what and how is the best year to make a stand alone harness ,to put magnum in older truck ,or a build series ? Or just some places to look for good info

      96+ harness, only issue is that crank trigger is only 8:1 so tuning abilities ain’t that great. Holley term x, mega squirt, and those tbi standalones I’ve seen all done

    So when I add the srt4 sensor, I basically have to act as though the map values are in half from what they were before. 105kpa is now 210kpa… yes?

      Yes but other way. Jtec can only see 20-105 kpa. So I normal atmospheric pressure world 100kpa is 0pso. Well jtec is funky and the srt4 map sensor moves the value so so now 50kpa for jtec is actually real world 100kpa. 50-105kpa is boost or positive pressure with the srt4 map sensor. Btw 105kpa is 15.5psi so it’s actually like 2.125bar map sensor lol

    So I've been doing alot of reading on SCT and the website no longer carries the 3200 but summit sells it. I contacted them an they said I should swap a 5.9 pcm into the truck, if I remember correctly you guys left the stock pcm right?. Also did you guys set up a wide band Guage or are you using the stock O2 sensors?

      Ethier works! Just sct is unlimited amount of tuning and hp charges you for every tune you download

    can you read the fuel sync with that tuner or did you have to set the fuel injector pulse by turning the distributor with a snap on solarus hooked up
