Nope. I just get untextured objects by doing this. There must be a step missing
Edit: the textures are there when imported back into Blender, but they are missing when I open that OBJ in another program.

For those it's not working, you have to bake the texture because you've probably downloaded it from sm website

Couldn't find the extra settings, or the OBJ add-on other videos told me to add. Updating to Blender 4.0 fixed it for me

Thank you, if I import 2 models in .obj format at the same time on blender, is it possible to do this texture technique on the 2 models at the same time and then export each .obj separately with their textures? Thanks

Doesn't actually work. The materials don't open in FreeCAD. If you're importing back into Blender, oh, of course it "works" -- but only in Blender. Try again.
