I'm not an emotionally vulnerable woman. But when I saw Boticelli's Primavera at the Uffizi, I was astounded by the dimensions of the canvas and overcome with the beauty of the composition.

It is ok to be a emotionally vulnerable person, (whether you are or not.)

We went to the Uffizi museum and stood in awe of the magnificent art. Unfortunately, we could not spend a week in the galleria to study and appreciate each painting and sculpture. And even a week would be an injustice.
If you are ever in Florence, make it a must to visit.

Your videos are absolutely amazing! Your research on each piece is superb and the way you present it is very professional. Your voice (French accent?) is very sweet and makes it feel even more authentic. I am touring Europe in Dec 2024, so what I have done is to take your audio of each art piece that I am planning to see and compiling it into an audio guide personally curated for me and my family. Keep up the good work! Will you be doing a video for the Galleria Accademia, Borghese, Sainte Chapelle or Arc de Triomphe?

One slight correction: in da Vinci's Annunciation, Mary's seemingly elongated arm is not a mistake. The painting was originally supposed to be placed in a church, and to be viewed from the right side, not from the front. From that perspective, all proportions are actually perfect!

Just a short notice: The painting shown at 17:35 minutes into the video as 'Lorenzi de 'Medici (the Magnificent)' is, in fact, a portrait of Lorenzo de' Medici, Duke of Urbino, the grandson of Lorenzo de' Medici, not the Magnificent himself.

I really love this! A new perspective on the subject. I wish I could go back in time to defend Artamissia's honor but I'd probably just get carved up instead.

Thank you for the very good selection.
However, I need to raise a small correction. Unfortunately, the portrait of Leo the 10th by Raphael is no longer at the Uffizi. The last director of the Uffizi Gallery, Eike Schmidt, decided it was time to bring it back to its original location, that is, Palazzo Pitti. However, the two museums fall under the same ownership, and one can also buy a single ticket for both expositions!

These videos are amazing. Lease keep them coming! I was fully enthralled by the stories behind the paintings as well as just the quality of images you were able to get. And the editing. When I checked the viewings, I was fully prepared to see these videos with 1 million+ views. I was shocked to see that they weren’t! They’re so high quality and captivating. I was wondering if the narration was done by AI, though? Sometimes it sounds a bit like it could be, but maybe it’s just the accent? Either way, love it!

Great job with the video. You made me see the Venus of Urbino differently. I had never really taken it very seriously, thinking it more as thinly veiled pornography, but now I can imagine how in a domestic setting it likely would have been seen as magnificently special.

You have done a fine job. But at 17:39 this is not Lorenzo the Magnificent who died in 1492. It is Lorenzo Duke of Urbino his grandson. His father Piero was the Magnificent's son as well as Pope Leo. Guilio has been claimed as the Magnificent's murdered brother Guiliano's illegitimate son that was taken in to the Medici household after his father's death. Gets confusing when you cover all the generations. Raphael noted it in the Left Hand corner. I was obviously obsessed by this family's story after a visit to Italy.

This is all fine in theory, but have you visited the Uffizi recently? Hordes of people at all times! You can't view one masterpiece without 20 people all crowding around in front of the painting. Pushing, shoving... I was so looking forward to my visit, but we were in and out in 40 minutes. You can't enjoy great art in a place like this.

Go after hours they're open late on Tuesdays. I was just there 2 weeks ago booked 7pm entry tickets and was practically alone in front of the Botticellis. You do have to book the tickets a bit in advance I got mine about 3 weeks before my visit. I think they recently started the extended hours once a week
