Oii oiii ladies, gents and teddy bears, we hope you enjoyed these quick climbs from the RNoAF F-35A's. It was so cool that they took part in our world famous show "Ted's Quick Climb Friday". Did you know that the Norwegian F-35 is a specially modified F-35A? Towards the end of topside of the fuselage and before the nozzle of the huge turbo fan is a shark fin style pod. This is the drag chute pod which can deploy a drag chute to assist the aircraft to brake when landing. How cool!
This is what QCF is all about and to have the Royal Norwegian Air Forces F-35A's taking part is amazing with all the ribbons and spluffage cool so wonderful to see these amazing planes in action. Thanks to the amazing talents of Nikos and Ted for the stunning footage go Teddy
RNoAF ❤ We are so proud of them. Did you know: Unlike many other allied countries fighting the war from British soil, Norway escaped its gold reserve over to England. That meant Norway could buy our own Spitfires, destroyers, arms and ammunition, and the Spits of no. 331 and 332 squadrons thus carried the Norwegian flag on their tails. Norway got its first F-35A back in 2015, and in 2017 the first three arrived in Norway. F-16 were phased out in 2022 and some of them are handed over to Ukraine.
They are awesome!! What was that 1st one upto? Talk about move in the air. F35A. Norwegian variant. So good thalt they'd heard all about Ted's QCF, they had to be there and join in. Crikey! They turn beautifully and Climb with thundering ground shaking power 🫡😎🫡 Uber Cool 😎 Hit me with it one more time. Boundless energy and excitement there Ted and Nikos. Makes it even more enjoyable 😉 😄 ☺️

The Norwegian F-16s also had drag chutes.
oii oii.is it possible to see the chute pod?
@@AbdullahNajib-b9z yes, it’s easy to spot towards the back of the topside of the fuselage. Looks a bit like a shark fin modern antenna on a car.
@@TedConingsby spotted it!
but doesnt that pod add a little bit of drag.and make it more unstealthy?
THese Norwagian F35A variants are as impressive performing the Quick Climbs from Lakenheath and expertly captured thank you Nikos.
