The 6L/4l80 with 4.10's will go forever. See many of them with over 500k kms in Canada. With the price difference you see in the USA it really makes sense.
Feel much the same. Have 3500HD CC, 6.0, 6L90, 4.88 (regear), two tanks w/65gal. Doing what I do, it's perfect. The only down fall is on heavy long distance needing to refuel with long trailer. Anywhere between 6-14 mpg.
Curious to know more about re-gearing to 4.88 If you dont mind, approx how much did you spend ? And what parts did you use? 2WD or 4WD ? I hear it can be pricey to re-gear the front IFS diff on 4WD. Thanks !
After I driving both a 2005 ram and a 2004.5 silverado, I honestly will say I like the Ram interior comfortability. Even with the silverado having leather seats, I like the Ram better because of the center console design. Great video and God bless!
Great point! I do miss the large center console of the Ram, it was the perfect height to use as an arm rest and provides a ton of storage. Overall I do find the Chevy interior more comfortable though... to each their own!! Thanks for watching and God bless you also!
I wanted to get into local hotshot with my first gen Cummins it's got low miles and runs real good. I just don't know after I do all the paperwork and stuff if I could afford to do it.
I want to buy a truck asap and get into towing shit but I don’t want to buy a new truck and it seems most company’s that you can lease onto want you to have a newer truck…also worried about affording insurance without getting the best loads if i go with my own authority route. Is it even worth it anymore? Been working on a straight truck the last couple months for hourly but wanting to make more without getting my cdl
Yea I ran under my own authority so the age of the truck didn't matter. Def get some insurance quotes before going all in. Mine wasn't too bad with an older truck and perfect driving record, but commercial insurance can really kill your profit. As for as if hotshot is even worth it anymore.. hard to say, some people make it work, but I have transitioned to mechanic work and make a lot more now.
Hi thinking about starting a new authority going to be using a 25ft trailer not sure if having a 2009 2500 gas powered is going to be an issue because I'm new that brokers won't work with me because my truck I'd older than 8yrs does anyone know please reply
I avoided this issue by running loads off of U-ship and for direct customers only. I'm no longer doing hotshot though, so take that for what its worth! God bless you
Thank you for including the scripture and not hiding that side of yourself, very rare these days
