I think most car channels are pretty sick. People like Adam LZ are really cool with awesome channels. But what I really enjoy about Taylor is that I feel like I'm apart of the build. Always asking us for advice, listening, responding. It's what keeps me coming back each time and I think that's sick bro! Keep it up!!
It was good to see Ben again. It had been a bit since he had a decent part in a video and I know how many times he was the hookup on Miata parts in the past and seems like just an awesome friend to have. Now that I look at it I'm surprised nobody has hurt themselves on the "open sardine can" door lol. I also can't get over how much I like those valve covers. Dude who wouldn't get impatient? It's been a long time coming and looks so good in there!
Jimmy oaks called you out!! That engine bay needs to look at good/even better than his Z! And Adam doubted you! Show them why you’re the best automotive TH-camr right now! Oh and that intro was dope as hell lol
looks awesome! those manifolds are cast steel so you can cut the flange off and weld on a v-band or exhaust pipe to make the exhaust system installation easier.
burninruber60, you took the words right out my mouth on the vbands. I had a shop do mine and man I wish they came from factory like that with engine pulls taking 45 mins at the track if needed.
13:22 you can totally remove the Quickjack hydraulic lines to keep them out of the way if it is resting on the safety stops. I do it all the time with mine.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'm in the UK and I'm so jealous of where you live. That front subframe assembly looks so clean! You'd probably call it dirty but it looks brand new compared to mine
woah man your subbs have shot up!¬ i remember back in the sub 15k days! haha shows your doing a great job! your editing has got way better along the way! great job! keep it up man!!
The ppf is a REALLY good idea from a manufacturing/assembly perspective. It dose a few things. It makes it REALLY easy to install the entire drive train and suspension at once and it also keeps the transmission center line basically on center with the rear diff, so, there's no change in pinion angle relative to the rotating assembly.
Awesome editing! The best intros to a channel ever! I love how each day its different too. Thats a lot of work. Very impressed👌 Sending love from PalmBay
Love the videos, and I think I may have a little tip for you :) When you're doing static shots, set your focus point to small size and move it to where you're working, so your camera knows what to focus on. Then just switch it back to wide focus when you're talking to the camera. You could probably set a button to switch the modes, if not it should only take a second, and it would really show off your framing skills. Good luck with the car, I'll be here all the way :)
I just ended up here from a suggested video of his and I'm so hype that I found someone from my hometown in newnan that puts out content im interested in. It's a small world
I've got to take a ride in an ls Miata and yeah it was pretty impressive. I thought the guy said he was going to do some kind of supercharger set up. Witch would be sweet I'd like to see Taylor do the same so we can have the build videos.
Hey taylor i think you should sound deaden the interior after you cage it to reduce the noise. I reckon its gonna be blistering loud inside the cabin when the v8 is running and when you rip it for drifts.
On the exhaust NAPA, and Advance Auto normally have books that allow you to look up parts for the exhaust so that you can figure out what you need. If I were you, I would stop at one of them, and see if you can get some exhaust flanges matched up to a truck with the engine/headers that you have, I know that most of the way back will be custom, but if you can get the flanges hopefully the rest will be easier... Can't wait, fire that thing up! :)
If you really want to do a clean build, i recommend to fit the engine in completely (including all brackets). That way you don't have to strip paint in your engine bay because for example you forgot to make a new bracket for the brake booster. Besided that, nice job! Keep up the good work!
Fits perfectly :D Maybe make a short "dump" pipe from those headers just down far enough its not a pain to get them on and off? If needed to drop the exhaust off ect
Idk if it would help but look into getting stock gto ls1 manifolds they can be found cheap and the exhaust exit may be a little better at clearing the sub frame
tee mann , I haven't researched it much yet but if nobody does now, I bet they're working on it. There's other things that go into it other than a adaptor plate though I'm sure.
tee mann I guess the sbf hasn't become "popular"enough. I like ford, gm, and the JZ's but If I was to do a swap I'd probably do 5.0 swap. The problem is that the old school 5.0 is more expensive and heavier (I believe) than a aluminum LS. The coyote 5.0 is WAY more expensive and really wide. Its hard to swap into anything that didn't come with a overhead cam v8 period. That being said, I'm assuming that companies the companies building swap kits haven't found it to be a profitable kit yet. That's just my thoughts. I personally would like it too though.
The coyote is a different engine family with a different pattern, sbf means small block Ford, the coyote is part of the Ford modular engine family, they are heavy wide and expensive. The main draw back to the 5.0ho is the block can only take 500hp.
You probably have already seen it but just in case, Tom's Turbo Garage youtube channel has an awesome series on a ls swap Miata. Really high quality build, its worth a look for anyone that hasn't seen it.

Dude.. Music is one of the reasons why your videos are so good! Keep up the good work man!

2:53 For a sec I thought Taylor put a GoPro on a power washer and it was about to be a sick power washing edit lol

13:22 you can totally remove the Quickjack hydraulic lines to keep them out of the way if it is resting on the safety stops. I do it all the time with mine.

"toms turbo garage" has good vids on ls into mx5 or miata.... whatever you Americans it lol. keep it up love it
woah man your subbs have shot up!¬ i remember back in the sub 15k days! haha shows your doing a great job! your editing has got way better along the way! great job! keep it up man!!
Yeah I noticed that too, so happy he's doing well
I’ve seen people say this already but the editing on these videos is top tier, love the style love the content.
Taylor is probably the coolest TH-camr evereeee
Sick, can't wait just gotta get it wired up and get the rear end done and the suspension stuff and we are ready to rub doors!
The ppf is a REALLY good idea from a manufacturing/assembly perspective. It dose a few things. I was willing to wait but thank you Taylor for not making us wait any longer.
Perfect! I just sat down in a 3 hour lecture and this pops up in my feed
Not gonna lie was totally getting down to the music in the beginning😂 you know when a video starts off like this it's gonna be good
Love seeing your projects come together ,especially since you work like a 9-5 job .
you are doing the ls so right !!! I'm excited to see this run already! keep up the good content
I am not crazy about drift or car mods but still see your full episodes, keep the good work !
It’s coming together so nice! Good job Taylor keep up the good work!

Ben is da man !!! Bought some parts from him all the way from texas
I just ended up here from a suggested video of his and I'm so hype that I found someone from my hometown in newnan that puts out content im interested in. It's a small world
Newnan bros!
Love these kinds of videos Man I wish I had half the knowledge you have about cars keep up the great work bro
Taylor, word of advice, if you have the locks on the jack enabled, you CAN remove the hydraulic lines
She’s nicely coming together not long to go now, doing a build in my mx5 myself over the next few months too👌🏻
Getting there man been watching this hold build operation it’s definitely been a trip!
That fits way better than expected! I had to cut a ton out for my swap in my 86.
Honestly love this series so much!
Editing on point as always 🤙🏻
I've got to take a ride in an ls Miata and yeah it was pretty impressive. I thought the guy said he was going to do some kind of supercharger set up. Witch would be sweet I'd like to see Taylor do the same so we can have the build videos.
Jealous of that weather bro. Looking great. Strong progress 💪👈
Now thats a Friend.
You like good music. Always enjoy that component of your vids. Glad to see the Miata coming along!
The little subtitles or whatever are funny😂 when you where trying to put the subframe under the engine 😂
Love this damn build!!!! Love Taylor's channel
Taylor get yourself a cutting torch . Even the little portable cutting torch is good to have if you dont want to deal with full size bottles.
Ive been so hyped for this build
It looked so great in there, gonna be so awesome
Sick video homie. LS swap looks awesome!!
Do side exit exhaust that would be sick
Hey taylor i think you should sound deaden the interior after you cage it to reduce the noise. I reckon its gonna be blistering loud inside the cabin when the v8 is running and when you rip it for drifts.
I CANT WAIT FOR YOU TO SHRED WITH THE LS
just a suggestion. reinforce the front shock tower since your putting a heavier engine.
Finally progress on the Miata
Subframe drops, this comes to mind "But LT Dan, you ain't got no legs!"
On the exhaust NAPA, and Advance Auto normally have books that allow you to look up parts for the exhaust so that you can figure out what you need. Nice vid you should do some Lfs videos with Ben after you’ve finished this build because I love watching both your videos
Man I can't wait to see your Miata finished that's going to be one badass car
Love it man great video keep it up .... Ul be over a 1,000,000 subs before u no it
ben is doing god's work.

Besided that, nice job! Keep up the good work!
Dude finally!!!!It looks hella amazing!!Legit so stocked and hyped for you Taylor!!!Really wanna see the engine bay process!!❤❤!!Keep it up!
Looking great. Loads to do but you gotta walk before you run!
wow the ls looks like the bay was made with a v8 in mind. alot more room than i expected
Hells-to-the-yeah...mmmmiiiinnnntttttt! I seriously can't wait to see a pull in that beast. It's going to be so much fun.
Are you going to relocate the coil packs?
Note to self paint stuff after its reassembled and where its going to stay so someone like ben doesnt get it dirty ;)
I'm from the UK,been watching you're vids from the start! keep up the good work man and you're editing is wicked by far best car TH-camr
Fits perfectly :D
Maybe make a short "dump" pipe from those headers just down far enough its not a pain to get them on and off? If needed to drop the exhaust off ect
That looks super clean in there, and doesn't sit too high! Any future plans on a colour yet?
I wish you would put that LS in that blue Z. That would be so Fing clean and you know it would be.
Idk if it would help but look into getting stock gto ls1 manifolds they can be found cheap and the exhaust exit may be a little better at clearing the sub frame
i love it when a plan comes togeter
intros have been sick lately. gj.
Weld bolts onto the header flange to make it easier to install the exhaust from under the car.
I wish they made a sbf adapter plate for the cd009
tee mann yeah I was just lookin into that the other day. Would be a nice upgrade over a t5
tee mann , I haven't researched it much yet but if nobody does now, I bet they're working on it. There's other things that go into it other than a adaptor plate though I'm sure.

Jeepsterdaddy 37 with aluminium heads and intake the 302 wouldn’t be that heavy, probably lighter than a cast iron 5.3
The coyote is a different engine family with a different pattern, sbf means small block Ford, the coyote is part of the Ford modular engine family, they are heavy wide and expensive. The main draw back to the 5.0ho is the block can only take 500hp.
Watching Tyler working hurts my back lol
Looking mint!
Well shit, so THAT'S Ben. Thanks for the parts, man.
Also Taylor, I'm hyped!
I'm literally so excited for this
Miata is gonna be sick!
That thing is going to riiiiiiiip dude
put a V band on the bottom flange on the headers before you put them back in, will make life so much easier
So are we going to see this at ls fest in bowling green ky this year?
Run your air lines out the back and around the side. Might make it easier having a clear floor to work with. That’s just me though
Yeaboi! So keen to see this thing done!👍🏻
Exciting to see the LS in the bay. How much will it weigh when done? .............Hey I think a turbo would fit in there.
Taylor serialnine sales shifter, which might fit to your application.
This thing's gonna be a rocket
make a tow hitch outta of the 1.8 rods???
Dude im hype for you bro!!!
Fan of the disco music at the end.
Finally a cool Miata is being built
Loving the videos keep up the good work man !!!
You probably have already seen it but just in case, Tom's Turbo Garage youtube channel has an awesome series on a ls swap Miata. Really high quality build, its worth a look for anyone that hasn't seen it.
