Good shit dude I just got my van and started putting work into it trying to get it on the road by summer I can’t wait. Been working out of my truck the past few years I’m due for an upgrade
Awesome setup, working on getting an E150 at the moment even though i detail on the side its time to take it up a notch and have everything in one place. This definitely helped me better picture some ideas i had!
Great setup ! I'm debating on a astro to start with then Jump to a e250. But then a question if an astro is big enough to have this much organization and a 100 gallon tank the very least with a power washer and generator
I know this is 6 years old but how did the astrovan hold up with all the weight from the detail stuff? Did the tranny go out or any of your suspension needed to be replaced sooner than normal you think?
I ran this setup for over two years. No issues with transmission or anything that seemed it would’ve been related from carrying around all my Detailing equipment. Near the end of me getting rid of it. The distributor went out, but that was due to the age.
@@AndysAutoCarePlus thanks bro, im looking into getting a astrovan to use as a detail van. I think itll stand out more than these little van type ones everyones using now. What year was yours?
Awesome video Andy. I recently bought a 2000 Chevy Astro Van and I am now converting it into a detail van. What was the most challenging obstacle when you created your van?
M1 Auto Detail Honestly probably the most challenging thing was with how much stuff I have I had to make sure that I had some sort of racking system the rack you see in this video is actually half of metal rack from Costco. Mounted with L brackets.
M1 Auto Detail Also probably the fact that I spent 10-13 hours on the paint doing full paint correction and paint coating. “It was in really bad shape when I got it.”
Just didn’t let the water dry on the cars. It was tough for sure, most of the time never had a issue but every once in a while I went somewhere that well water so I had to move fast.
Didn’t have one at this time. We did just post our current setup. Check out our channel and subscribe and hit the bell so you see them when we drop more. Thanks for being here!
Yes saving for that VX right now! I love using a van over trailer due to being able to get into small places better. With that being said do what fits your needs for sure.
Aaron Brown biggest thing I would say is start slow and don’t expect to have everything at once. Invest back into your business as you start getting paid jobs. SHOP AROUND also don’t just buy at the first price you find your item at. Wait for discounts through the big suppliers. There is still some things I want to get or upgrade to but it just takes time and hard work. Hope this helps and good luck.
Awesome video, your setup is amazing. Very organized. I noticed you have a partition/ divider wall. Did that come with the truck or did you install it. I been looking for one for my Astro. Thanks!
@@AndysAutoCarePlus So what do you say to them. I'm just starting my own business, going to focus mainly in my neighborhood area. I see some detailers have a trailer or vehicle with a water tank. Also do you use only one color microfiber towel for everything? I use different colors for different parts of the car.
Andy's Auto Care Plus actually I have used one of those before but the thing is they don't extract with hot water. Is yours good enough? Has it done nasty cars before because I have seen extractors up too 2,000 dollars or more on the mytee extractors.
Adrian A I love mine and have done some really nasty stuff. My only con with it is doesn’t provide hot water for very long so take your time. The other trick I do is put the hottest water in to start.
Andy's Auto Care Plus Do you ever find yourself in a situation where the client would think you should have your own water and or power? Haven't run into it myself just like to ask around though.
Great info me n my brother just started our mobile interior detailing business check us out Charles brother’s interior detailing LLC from Orlando Florida

Great setup ! I'm debating on a astro to start with then Jump to a e250. But then a question if an astro is big enough to have this much organization and a 100 gallon tank the very least with a power washer and generator
I think if you dial in your amount of products you have you can fit all that into a Astro.
Where did u get the led lights on the roof
Your van would look cool with the hose Reele
This was my first setup. Have had a few since then. Have you watched my other videos on my other builds yet?

Felis Campbell yes I do a lot of residential stuff also a couple business and at my house as well.
I noticed you didn’t have a water tank. Do you just use the clients water?
Check out some of my newer videos as I have moved to a different setup since this. Yes at the time I used customer water.
So you used the clients water supply?
At that time yes that’s how we got started.
Love it so far!

Yes, lol now we use a Ford transit I used several different platforms at this point. I think that Astrovan would definitely stand out though.

@@AndysAutoCarePlus how we're you able to attach the Storage bins to the van?
@@kendelliverson8330 I just screwed them into the floor.
What size is your water tank?
I have a 65 gallon in my new setup.
Do u have ur stuff bolted down from moving an falling over whenu riding ?
Most things were screwed down or zip tied to the vehicle or bungee.
Hi andy, were u get carpet extractor? Is steam?
Do you use the customer water & electricity?
Felipe Burgos yes I do, haven’t had any issues with it.
I saw everything but not the water tank?
When I ran this setup I didn’t have a water tank.
I use a vaparetto 2400 polti steamer, it's a great steamer. Nice van set up dude.
tony flaherty Nice! How long have you been using it? Price? Pros & cons?
Have it around 9 months or so. All good no con's I bought my one second hand off a lady that got it in England.
Where did u get that shelf from man
They were from Costco
No water or power?
When I used this van I would hook up to customer water and power. This was two set ups ago. Check out some of my newer videos about my newer setup.

Were did you get those sweet laundry baskets, the "D basket" i gota have 2 of those for my setup
Josh OB My wife bought them at Walmart a while back. I use Velcro strips to hold it down.
Is mobile detailing hard because u honestly gotta know what your doing & use all the gadgets & products in the van?
What kind of steamer do you use ?
I use a McCulloch

Andy's Auto Care Plus yeah man it is worth the money. Yeah just have to weigh out some options. Again great job on the setup
Dane Waldrop Yes true and thanks for your comment.
Andy's Auto Care Plus what did you pay for the van?
Do you have any issues with the the shelf falling?
No this was a great first setup for me. I’m now on my third setup which is out of a truck bed.
Do you have any tips on how to save money when buying all your products/tools for starting out?
