As a browns fan, cant say I relate since for the greater part of 2 decades the only good thing we had was a great oline and we loved our offensive line.. despite the fact everything else was burning and a trash can 😂
yes they definitely are.. Im a WR and DB and Im watching every single film study and going to practice everything on both sides of the ball along with punting and kicking so I can be a all around great player at my positions. Blocking is the most important part of the game
We need a Byron Jones episode showing how he’s transitioned from safety to corner and had a successful season. Curious to watch his tape and see him analyze it.
This series is helping me so much with learning about the game! I've been watching games for several years but since it's not so popular here in Italy I lack all the fundamentals. Thank you!
I'm from Texas where football is the most popular sport, but I grew up playing soccer (what most of the world calls football). It wasn't until I got to my Junior year of high school that I began to watch football. I have so much to learn but I recommend a TH-cam channel called Brett Kollmann. That guy is great at explaining things that just wow me. It is a real test if you ask me. If his videos and this video puts you to sleep, then football is not for you. If you enjoy the game, then you will watch these types of videos over and over.
@@Al3jandr0101 thank you I'll look it up! I know the game well enough for a non US citizen, my first encounter with football was when I purchased Madden NFL'99 for the very first Play Station, I've watched several Superbowls and I understand (and like) the game a lot (I used to play rugby in high school also), but I don't know much about the real challenges of each player on the field :) Soccer?
I get it. Im a huge football fan these past 2-3 years and have watched every Ravens game since. It’s easy for me to learn through out the game on whats happening but this is advancing my knowledge a ton. It makes it easier for me to be in the stands and really understand. My dad says i might as well just be on the damn field😂
Love these O-lineman videos. You really never get to hear them talk, but they are the superstar makers; everything depends on their fraternity's ability to pass/run block.
This is why an offensive line takes a while to become a cohesive unit. It's technique, angles and strength as well as blocking schemes. If a lineman becomes injured or has to switch positions, it's quite an undertaking for the player to adjust much less become proficient.

Everyone saying lineman dont get enough credit, should watch more football. Those dudes are known warriors, trench monsters, and often some of the most liked guys on the team. Also, listen to how some of the top DL give props to them.
We had a great OLine coach at my HS. His motto for our line was “Sinn Fein”. It’s Gaelic for “We Ourselves Alone”. Basically, Olineman do the hardest and most thankless job in football. Why? Because it wins games
Can we just all agree O lineman are not appreciated as they should be?

@Open Mike I dont think so, they get almost no love but when the defense penetrates, its all their fault lol.
Especially the right side of the o line
I rather watch film on o-line players. They need to have condition and a fast mind. It’s even scary if they are fast physically.
I love that so many of these film sessions feature lineman. Keep it up!
Opens up holes so big, you literally cant miss them, but somehow Smallwood literally hits the hole and instantly initiates contact
Don't have to worry about that anymore! lol

I love Film Sessions with Baldy, especially the Lineman episodes.
Lanes truly the best to ever do it. It’s been over 2 years since he’s given up a sack
Not the best ever LOL
Hand placement, leverage and angles are everything up front! Great insight!
Love how he told people about wide 3 and 4i

dope as a tight end in madden which makes sense he used to play the position
Why would you move a top 5 tackle (in madden) to a below 32 TE
Maybe just some fast lineman would make more sense, I've actually done it with a few LT's
