You know what, Russell. Your patio may not be perfect. But the Russell trophy is for caring and wanting to protect your City Girl. What better trophy for a loving man you wanna get? Thumbs up 👍🏻👍🏻😍
Russell, you always? seem to amaze me LMAO. It will work for sure and make the lady very happy. My thought is screen in the whole porch with a screen door at one end. Then you are completely free of bugs, oh yes do not forget the bottom. Wishing you and City Girl a very blessed week.
Haaa! There is some cute raccoon wearing your hat, making a fashion statement out there in the woods or maybe a beaver just to p---s you off :) My husband does not like the wide brimmed netted hats. I now buy him just the nets only and he puts it over his ball cap. Much cheaper option. He likes it because the net does not fall on his face when the wind blows it. Chicken looked absolutely delicious. You have inspired me to get the barbecue charged up to have an outdoor cooking fest. I would plant a couple more strawberry plants in the bare areas. They do shoot off trailers but you can clip them and replant them somewhere else. My husband uses Vicks Vapor Rub as his repellent. Everything stays clear from him, and on the bright side he has a clear nasal passage and everyone that comes near him :). He said it is the best thing he has ever used and it lasts for a long time and as a bonus, it does not irritate his skin. Time to build a bridge where you put the pallet Russell and install some ABS pipe to drain off the water. Bumble bee could fill in the culvert with dirt for you. Love the humming birds. I just filled our feeders thinking the little birds will be so tired from flying from Mexico and will need a boost of energy. I would anchor the screen with boards. Good Job and Happy Gardening. All The Best Steel Buns!
I agree cording the road works in Maine. Plenty of blow overs from those storms for free, natural materials Cut some to fit lengthwise into the pit, then go horizontal layers till reaching the top. Erosion and the banks will hold it in place. Should take a decade to rot like hugelkultur beds. All natural if on shared easement. Add layers over the years. Bumpy if not uniform top logs, but you should be able to motocross safely with City Girl not getting soaked/muddy. Early bugs, long season this year.
Great video as usual Russell! (Still watching it). Your hat is probably turned upwards, high up in a tree, hosting a huge birds nest....the feathered wonders will use it as revenge if you remove any nests from your home! 😂🐦⬛🪶
Hey Russell and City girl you two are so cute. You could corderoy the bad areas of the trail in with blow down logs / branches especially the water hole where the pallet is , we had to do the same in Westree Ontario to one of the trails coming in to camp, we placed them lengthwise ,and width, also filled it in with some other natural debris. it worked well give it a try. Sure is pretty around the cabin regardless of trail issues and yup the bugs. Nice of you to think of city girl , Maybe you can use velcro strip down the front of the somewhat open spot, or eventually have the whole porch screened in . good work Russel city girl will be happy.
That hole needs the mini and every rock of size you can put in it to permanently fix it. I'd like to thank my momma, God, and all my supporters for the Russell award again this year
You could put weights on the bottom of the screen hmmm or a rock layer would look great also… Have a great day and love watching you and city girl xoxo’s
Nice video and enjoyed the self-made debugger tent. One question maybe I missed it on some video but where are your pals gone to the Wizzard and your extremely handy man are they busy are they still around can you give an update on them please.
Every time i see you wear the bug shirt it reminds me Of the armor they wore in Monty Python and the Holy Grail.... i keep expecting the black knight to pop up and say NONE SHALL PASS...
Russell needs a GO FUND ME to fix his trail. Or, get a lumber mill and create 6x6 planks 12 feet long and build a bridge. That would be my #1 project for the best weather time of the year AND invite subscribers to help with the build. Party time. Imagine just 6 or 8 helpers with tools and an architectural drawing.. How could the land owner object to an improvement? Solve the problem.
Is that a swallows nest? They eat a lot of mosquitoes as do bats. Purple martins eat a lot of mosquitoes also. That Bbq chicken looks yummy. Good to see City Girl. It's easy to make bat houses also.....as the local bats here took up residence behind the basket ball hoop that is on the shop wall when my son's quit playing a few yrs. ago. Lol
Gotta ask, are those the 'new to you' solar panels still sitting on the side of the house ? Any reason to not install them yet, I was hoping to see the change in incoming power. So, things looking good, except the bugs of course.
Hey Russell you'll probably have some windy days between now and the end of Aug. you might want to put down some boards down and secure the screen a bit better. Just saying. MC. Enjoy.
hey there bud great vids as always , why dont u cut logs and place them length wise thru that puddle at least u would get a few years out of it , and wouldnt to worry about the nails coming thru the skid as someone mentioned just an idea , cheers
Russ, geez. Screen the whole thing in and be done w it, man! You'll only need one door....and that could be magnets like those $5 doorscreens u get at family dollar.
Hi Russell, Could you please check your email to see if there have been any updates or progress regarding our collaboration? Thanks for your attention in advance.
Yeah, I like one of the commenters here that suggested you use a mechanical pump to drain a water collection like that. Charge up a battery and let it pump away! The other thing is a simple hose siphon, no machinery needed. Of course the outlet end of the hose must be lower than the intake. You may need a LONG hose. Or! Use your steam shovel or post digger and dig a drainage hole dry well 100 feet away downhill somewhere! Buy two screw caps for the hose as it must be filled with water to siphon. Unless ... unless... you are good at ... sucking. (Video title: "I suck!")
Though thinking about it now ... Any dry well you attempt would just fill with water because your water table is so damn high, near lowlands, near beaver ponds. Oh. Maybe just the pump with hose outlet down and out. Turn on the battery-powered pump the day before a trip out to the truck.
Hello. You should not climb into the bird's nest with your hands, because he is ready to leave these eggs and this nest. They built a nest there, you didn't see how they built it, now be polite and let them sit the chicks and fly away from the nest on their own.
They don't work in even the slightest bit of wind. But if we have a bad mosquito problem inside the cabin, 15 mins with the thermacell and everything dies.
Have you ever told us as subscribers exactly how much property you own out there..for example do you have to share the pond in front of the house with anyone else?
How I make the best BBQ chicken ever! th-cam.com/video/ZMkMHS_IWX0/w-d-xo.html
🤣
It's our go to recipe for chicken thighs now. Juicy and tender and ohhh so good!
You know what, Russell. Your patio may not be perfect. But the Russell trophy is for caring and wanting to protect your City Girl. What better trophy for a loving man you wanna get? Thumbs up 👍🏻👍🏻😍

Good morning!!! A RR video first thing in the morning 🎉
That’s laziness not strapping it down. And that’s you Russell
Hey Russ, With scrap wood laying around why not build some bird houses and bat houses. More birds less bugs,
Blueberries grow on bushes that can get 10 ft tall and takes about 8 years to produce good
Great video as usual Russell! (Still watching it). Your hat is probably turned upwards, high up in a tree, hosting a huge birds nest....the feathered wonders will use it as revenge if you remove any nests from your home! 😂🐦⬛🪶
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😅😅😅😅😅😊😊🎉❤
Russell i love the peace and quiet of your home but the bugs, i just cant handle those flies /mosquitoes
Happy 😊 long weekend guys 🐾🐾❤️🐾🐾🍻

Bats are great at devouring mosquitoes.
Aww!! I was hoping you were going to post today. Great video as always!! Love the screened area, good job!!
I like how Russell has his bug net shirt on in town too.
Well done you deserve the award very taught full
That hole needs the mini and every rock of size you can put in it to permanently fix it. I'd like to thank my momma, God, and all my supporters for the Russell award again this year
Right...
When using pallets in mud holes as it rots and falls apart you may get a piece with a nail in it that may point upwards...
Evening! We've got some beautiful weather here for several days now, and no bugs yet!
Russell. You certainly do make me laugh. Oh, my child. As DT said "Good intentions, but, you're Fired!"
Hey 'Steel Buns' 😂 Russell, entertaining as always - keep up the good work! Love to the family
You could put weights on the bottom of the screen hmmm or a rock layer would look great also… Have a great day and love watching you and city girl xoxo’s
But you can nail a transverse one there, and secure the board on one side so that the birds can build a nest there without fear of falling.
Junebug's nickname should be Roadblock! 😂❤
VELCRO!!! (for the openings)
the problem with pallets is when they break down you have a bunch of nails seating on your trail, just waiting for a juicy ATV tire
Nice video and enjoyed the self-made debugger tent. One question maybe I missed it on some video but where are your pals gone to the Wizzard and your extremely handy man are they busy are they still around can you give an update on them please.

Solve the problem.
Thanks “Steel Buns” for the great Friday video. Hope you have a great Victoria Day weekend. ✌️
Thank you Steel Bunns. Always great to see you, Fun is!🇺🇲👍❤
I think I would look into putting a metal, floating dock in those water areas. Anchor it on both ends and make a smooth road to drive over. 😃
Enjoyed again. Good to see you guys!
I think it looks great Russell and I know Alicia is going to love it!!!
Great idea with net around the swing. I think the pallet needs to be wider in the path.
Great video. ❇️💞❇️
Man that chicken looks good. Happy Friday.
Is that a swallows nest? They eat a lot of mosquitoes as do bats. Purple martins eat a lot of mosquitoes also. That Bbq chicken looks yummy. Good to see City Girl. Don’t take the nest away 😢
Who does that. That's the coolest thing!
Good morning.. city girl and big ol'e teddy bear .. bugs are part of cabin life
My fav cabin joke
.. I'd rather be inside.. just me until??
Nice fix with the pallet, but have you ever considered putting down gravel along your driveway (especially now that you have a mini-excavator)?
AGREE🎉🎉🎉
Russell it looks great and you didn't staple your bug shirt alongside the screen .. ❤ always love your Tee Shirts happy Long weekend to you both 🎉
Get a Thermacell. They work great for all bugs
don't you know you never touch the bird eggs....what a mess
I would have just screened in the whole porch. But that will do for now
i think that blade on the saw is done, time for a new one !!!
Next time, if that don’t work, try a screen tent and form it to fit your area.
This will sound crazy --- but for black flies and maybe mosquitos, try a small handheld vacuum... just suck them up.
👍👍👍💙💛❤Buna RUSSELL. Cu groapa aia plina cu apa , cu paletul nu e o treaba prea buna. Un drenaj bun si umplut cu piatra si-ai rezolvato.💙💛❤👍👍👍
All in the name of love, Russell! 🥰
you have a lot of stones along the banks. In a couple of years I could have repaired the entire road)) and you are transporting pallets
you should get one of those bug foggers
Gotta ask, are those the 'new to you' solar panels still sitting on the side of the house ?
Any reason to not install them yet, I was hoping to see the change in incoming power.
So, things looking good, except the bugs of course.
Good stuff.
Dang that chicken looked delicious!!! 😋😋😋😋
Good afternoon, Raspberry Rock.
Weed whacking weeds around your area would reduce bugs etc 😬
Why not get chickens. They eat TONS OF BUGS. THEY REALLY DO HELP.
Hey Russell you'll probably have some windy days between now and the end of Aug. you might want to put down some boards down and secure the screen a bit better. Just saying. MC. Enjoy.
Hello Russell, have you tried thermacell, for sitting on your deck?
@chriswedding, that was my thought as well. A couple thermacells and you're all set. They work great!
GREAT IDEA!!!!🎉🎉🎉😊
You do have an excavator, use it to fix up the trail.
Miss you both on fridays
Happy Friday!
As soon as our dog hears the intro he runs to our TV and looks for Willow and Junebug. Cause dogs can't see TV screens. Even out of a dead sleep.
My strawberry plants died except for a couple not sure why. You should cut all vegetation around cabin mosquitoes won’t be so bad
Really nice thing to do.
hi there !! the chicken looked so yummy can you post what you marinade your chicken in.. thanks !!
Hi guys good morning ..
Just curious why you did not screen in the hole deck.
A good thought. Pea Soup. ✌
hey there bud great vids as always , why dont u cut logs and place them length wise thru that puddle at least u would get a few years out of it , and wouldnt to worry about the nails coming thru the skid as someone mentioned just an idea , cheers
Never ever touch the nest or the eggs inside. Now the bird will toss that egg out because of what you did.
Love your videos
Russ, geez. Screen the whole thing in and be done w it, man! You'll only need one door....and that could be magnets like those $5 doorscreens u get at family dollar.
Believe me I know u can do a boss job on it.
Curious as to why you haven’t built stairs on the other end of you porch or even in the center 🤔
We are the Priests of the Temples of Syrinx.
You should have gotten 2 pallets
Hi Russell, Could you please check your email to see if there have been any updates or progress regarding our collaboration? Thanks for your attention in advance.
Is there any fish in that trail hole mud puddle?
👍
25:36 Gee maybe a shovel my name is to dig down that center just saying!
Looks like you need to invest in a weedeater
Should of inclosed the whole area there cause the dogs are going to go through it. We'll yes sir Russell ward is right 😂😂😂
Well i no the home hardware on 37 and you are going up 62 so i would say that's far enough to require a strap
At 24:41 someone yells something in what sounds like a foreign language.
MEATLOAF!
Better than nothing. I would buy 3 or 4 mosquito rappers for maybe $125 Canadian.
Just put a door on both sides so you can walk through it. 😅
Hi Russell, before putting the pellet why don’t you put tree logs, make a bridge.
Yeah, I like one of the commenters here that suggested you use a mechanical pump to drain a water collection like that.

Oh.
Maybe just the pump with hose outlet down and out.
Turn on the battery-powered pump the day before a trip out to the truck.
❤
Touching bird's eggs will prevent them from hatching as the eggs and nest now smell of you!!!
Russell. Did you tell the dogs you put the screen up?
Hello. You should not climb into the bird's nest with your hands, because he is ready to leave these eggs and this nest. They built a nest there, you didn't see how they built it, now be polite and let them sit the chicks and fly away from the nest on their own.
That BBQ Chicken wasnt done.
🍍
No sorry 37 to 7Lol
Get a buncha therma cells
They don't work in even the slightest bit of wind. But if we have a bad mosquito problem inside the cabin, 15 mins with the thermacell and everything dies.
Please don’t kill the bitd eggs
Have you ever told us as subscribers exactly how much property you own out there..for example do you have to share the pond in front of the house with anyone else?
Have you tried Thermocel ??
