  • This short tutorial shows you how to quickly convert a JPG or PNG file into a vector image using the free image editor at photopea.com.
    This method is 100% free!
    JPGs and PNGs that have been converted to vectors in photopea can be easily used in Cricut Design Space as cut or drawing files.
    This method can be used by Cricut users who do not subscribe to Cricut Access. Only Access members can use the Background remover tool to convert a bitmap to a vector cut file.

    Hi. Is it better or easier to do the png to svg than to create layers yourself? Thank you for the tutorials! They have helped me so much!

      It depends on the image you are working with, but for most simple images, I find it **much** easier to vectorize the bitmap in photopea and then import it, rather than using the contour tool in Design Space to create multiple layers.
