      rachit sir please normalise the audio when editing, when the video started the music blasted through my ear, and when u started speaking it was way too low compared to starting music.
      other than the audio the content is very good, and bringing interviews from long term owners now and then is very good. keep up the good work👍🏻.

      Honestly... This is quite debatable statement ...!! In India electricity is still produced by burning coal. So this won't make any change in climate. Burning coal or burning fuel harms environment in a same way. I guess... Hydrogen fuel cell might be better option.

    • @VivekAhujacom
      @VivekAhujacom 3 ปีที่แล้ว +22

      @@rushabhyedke6185 there are those who use only solar to charge their EV... 38% of Indias supply is renewable and the % is going up....but with petrol cars you can not reduce the pollution level once the source of power changes...

      @@VivekAhujacom Yah... Its one of the part but again electric vehicles ain't that feasible for many purposes. We can praise electric cars but honestly while purchasing one we have to think twice. What i was saying is, There should be equal level of research and awareness about hydrogen fuel. Developing that technology would be more convenient and can be replaced petrol/diesel cars.

    In Nexon and Tigor, Tata has replaced the fuel tank, transmission tunnel with a battery module and delivers a range of more than 300kms (arai).
    If Tata manufactures a new Harrier with a battery design like Tesla(floor bed full of batteries), then I guess the range will go up near to or more than 600km.

    • @drpritamsms
      @drpritamsms 3 ปีที่แล้ว +26

      Yes true, and so wil the cost go up considerably.. (assuming it wil have at least a 50+ kilo watt battery, Nexon has a 30kwh) and then it won't have the sales that the company needs..

    • @vivekvivekahuja

      How often do you drive 600 kms a day?

    • @drpritamsms
      @drpritamsms 3 ปีที่แล้ว +18

      Having a 300-400km range is decent for an EV.. if ur expecting a 600 range be ready to shell out considerably more cash. The infra back up needs to be implemented equally fast for EVs to pick up. As of now the infra for charging is mainly located in a few states and in metros.. there are so many areas with absolutely no chargers available.. for comparison there are about 700 charging stations in india by Tata Power,(other ev chargers are far lesser) and there are 69,000+ registered Petrol stations in india.. hope the point is clear.

    My first EV was the Saturn in the US in 1999. After that, there were no real EVs in India, till the Nexon EV came along. We got delayed in buying the Nexon EV because the dealer experience in Goa was beyond any form of acceptance. But I was driving a friend's Nexon EV off and on. A year later we decided to buy the Nexon EV in Bengaluru, booked one, and are now waiting for registration, and our reasons are as follows -
    a) Safety-the Nexon is brilliantly rated, as we get older, our reflexes are slower, so a safe car was essential. This is primary.
    b) Proper automatic transmission, no vibrations, silent inside, home charging for local running only
    c) Torque and handling. Red light acceleration. This car makes me at 65 feel young again. Simple.
    d) Why XZ+? Personally, I don't like sunroofs, for multiple reasons. Grandchildren back seat position is better without sunroof, by the way.
    e) I detest these PUC checking type of experiences. They insult my intelligence and integrity.
    f) New technology and brilliant back-up from manufacturers. Ignore the dealer issues, they can only improve.
    g) My personal project is to work on an engine sound generator for the NexonEV to sound like cars from Fiat-1100, Standard Herald, Ambassador and even V8 engines. This will take time because it will need to be synched with the throttle.
    Certainly, cost is one part, but this car will be used totally within Bengaluru, maximum for trips a few 100kms out.
    I am also looking forward to the Tiago-EV.

    Good set of to the point questions and responses. Though I don't plan to buy electric car, I have been observing just like Sir for years. And it will probably take another 3 years before EV ecosystem is there to cover range anxiety, as rightly mentioned.

    One of the best videos I have come across on youtube. You guys did a great job by informing people about EVs and breaking various myths related to it. I myself wanted to get an EV for my family but had concerns regarding range and charging networks, but now i got many of my doubts cleared through this video. within next 4 years i'll have an EV in my garage. ✌

    Nexon EV 3 lakhs more expensive than a similar Nexon diesel. Interest @10%PA for 3 lakhs is 30,000/year. We can use that 30k for fuel in diesel nexon, benefit is we can use diesel nexon for long trips as well.
    Other views are welcome. Let's have a healthy discussion.

      Maintenance is significantly lower.
      Nvh level are almost 0.
      No lack of power.
      Only drawback is range is poor.
      Conclusion if going long range book zoom car and enjoy.

    C'mon guys, agar hum log ev kharidenge tabhi to ev banegi, aur agar ev banegi to bijli bhi mehengi hogi(demand/supply rule), aur agar bijli mehengi hogi to private companies aise charging points kholegi jo solar panels se chalte ho. So it's a whole process which will take around 2-4 yrs imo.

    I know a person whose monthly driving is just 500 kms and he still bought Nexon EV just for sport mode pick up. To get this kind of pick up , you will have to spend 60-70 lakhs if you want to buy petrol diesel cars. One can buy for just that pick up alone. But, it is not for those who do highway runs on daily basis.

    • @vivekvivekahuja
      @vivekvivekahuja 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      depends on how much % you start from? total its 30.2 KW battery, usually we charge from 20-100% so you can say approx 24-25Units for 220-230 kms is my usage

    When the time of battery replacement total savings willbe expensed, i think battery replacement cost maybe Rs 2 - 3 Lacks, in a petrol vehicle there is no need to expense Rs 2- 3 Lacks at a time, thatswhy petrol vehicle is most cheaper than Electric vehicle.

    • @overthinker9456
      @overthinker9456 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thats funny, because it takes 8 to 10yrs before battery replacement. By that time petrol would have bankrupted you.

    • @nikhilgarg8198
      @nikhilgarg8198 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      After 8-10 years there is no guarantee that your battery will be dead for sure. Till 8 years there is warranty. On a engine vehicle, after 8-10 years it starts to bring expenses for engine repair. Plus just in the worst case, if there is some major engine issues, then you are also paying for engine parts which are actually more expensive than battery

    I think Government or Companies Should Establish Normal Charges also.
    So, People can Charge EVs there for their daily uses.
    Because If we Use Supercharges Regularly It will harm Batteries.
    In Western Countries Local Normal Charges are also there..
    So It is possible..
