Thanks for introducing the fabulous St.Jacob's Club style of play to the crokinole world at large. I spent a year driving between Toronto and St. Jacobs every second Monday night just to join in. This rotation style was also adopted into our Toronto Club and when the numbers are right we employ it in the Quinte\Belleville Club I hope to see running again soon. If you want to end up making it to the thrill of the Final Four Singles at the World Crokinole Championships in Tavistock, this is your ticket to top notch preparation. You might end up facing Justin Slater, Brian Cook and Jon Conrad but at that point it's just an honour to be annihilated. Those gentlemen also regularly have played this style at their respective clubs. Probably the finest feature of this rotation is that if you are a completely new player you get the benefit of coaching and your scorecard will not be a demoralizing array of zeroes. I dream of the day when an open NCA tournament is operated on this kind of rotation. The logistics are probably a little mind boggling re: the exact numbers, but maybe as an invitational like The Schneider Haus meet? I think it would be awesome. Great job Jeremy! Looking forward to the video on your backyard get together. Cheers.
This is just what I needed. We've had a board for a couple of years, but my son and I just built two more boards this summer. We were looking for ideas on inviting people over for a tournament. Thank you!
Awesome! With a sister that just got married we've finally got 8 players either birthed or married in so this will be perfect. Much better than the simple bracket singles system we did at the last family gathering! Thanks for the documents - super helpful stuff.
Oh thats a great idea. What we did was a final doubles match where 1 and 4 were partners against 2 and 3. Next time maybe we will have the extra tables to flip to singles after the round robin
You are correct! It was a technical glitch that has been found and fixed. Shouldn't be an issue moving forward. There are pros and cons to multiple cameras. More pros than cons but there are still some cons.
@@marcponzio5330 we now have 5 cameras feeding in so we can do a doubles match. Overhead view plus a players head in each corner. The first of those should be out late next week.

Get your 8 and set it up!! :)
Excellent video! Pure gold! As soon as I can get 7 friends together who can play, I'm gonna run this. Keep up the good work.

"birthed or married in". LOL. do what you have to to recruit more flickers LOL
Great idea - I'll have to try that sometime :)
Play your cards right and maybe you'll get another invite 😉
Very cool format. We need to try this! Any chance you'll point out some singles tournament thoughts in a future episode?
Yessir. Definitely on the radar although a fair bit more simple than this format.
I assume scores reset for the top 4 match, do I have four-player singles to look forward to?

Love the video but just a quick note.... the audio sounds like it has a bit of an echo or fish bowl quality to it.
