Definitely a rough matchup for the kentaurosmon. I think it wasn’t quite highlighted just how much the dp protection helps the dorugoramon in these games since the new kentauros gives -7k dp on attack, the inheritables usually do -2k each, and odins breath does -3k.
Against most decks the wide spread dp reduction does a lot, but against black decks with dp reduction prevention it’s definitely very rough.
It would be interesting to see black decks reduce the amount of DP reduction rather than prevent it completely. It would mean a heavy investment of resources to actually get rid of something from the field maybe 🤔

With the new support from BT 16 and BT 17, the Dorugoramon deck has gotten far stronger and is my go to deck. Come August I will be purchasing two copies of the new Dexdorugoramon. I already gave a list going that focused more on the mass removal and neat combos.
This is the same deck I played before I quit digimon, and I just found it again and I’m hopping back in 😭

Any natural carrier of the X antibody is a cool digimon in my book, and any deck that focuses around them, newcomer looga as well, is great 😍
YEAH! I really hope Looga teams up with Doru in someway. I know Alphamon is the more obvious choice but I think Doru needs some more love :)

@4:41 the Kent player hits a DexDorugora in security and DOESN'T have jamming, so it should be deleted, but leaves them on the field and then digivolves them.
edit: nvm, Kyaro can give Jamming to any target, not just the stack. We're gouda.
Great stuff! If it weren't for the DEX pricepoint, I would absolutely hop on the Dorugora train. Also, 11/10 editing.
They did have jamming actually as a card was removed from security earlier that turn, they chose to give reppamon jamming
That’s my bad actually Kyaromon let’s you choose a digimon to get jamming, I went back into the recording and can confirm it was given to the Reppamon I just missed it during the voice over 😅

Im pretty sure the doru player didnt use the right effect at 7:46. The Bt13 checks top 3 then attachs from among them.
And it only gets the dp reduction if it finds itself, I believe.
Yeah I did misplay that 😅 whoops. But ultimately I think it hurt me because I had one less card in hand.
Giving security -2 to Dorugoramon only to trash a security anyway because of Barrier. That's such an unfortunate bit of anti-synergy for Ketaurosmon.
Yeah and all the DP reduction prevention they have really hurts in this matchup 🤕
Wouldn't Odins Breath dp reduction still take place @ 02:00 because it's live until the end of opponents' turn? I know it wouldn't take place the turn it was played, but once turn passes and dorugreymon dp protection expires, odins dp reduction should then take effect, no?
That's a good question actually. I think because the effect isn't a latent board effect it might not work that way.
To my understanding you're targeting a digimon and saying it will get -3000 until the end of the next turn but it can't have its DP reduced so even when the turn rolls over it neve had its DP reduced for the effect to persist.
But if the effect read like Shinegreymon ruin mode where it says "Until the end of your opponents turn, your opponents digimon gets -5000 DP" then it could rollover like that. Definitely tricky and I could be wrong but I think that makes the most sense to me :)
@@TheSqueakyMooseThe Judges on Digimon said that even if theres an effect that prevents DP- it would still apply, so when the protection is over, it kicks off, so the Dorugora would have less DP in his turn

DexDorugoramon is super ocol, but it's hard to justify swapping my Alphamon deck over to it. I actually kind of like DexDorugoramon a bit more in terms of aesthetic, I love my edgy mons, but I don't feel like it has anywhere near the punch that Alphamon does.
I think you're right honestly but I think that's mainly because Oryuken is so strong! If there was a new death x that only worked for DexDorugoramon it could definitely be competitive 😁

If I'm not wrong, the Dorugoramon in game 1 just did 1check beacuse he got sec-attack -1 in the opponents last.
I don’t believe so. The reppamon have sec -2 to the dorumon, not the one in raising which would evolve into dorugoramon. Just a misplay
If we want to assume it wasn't a misplay then he probably attacked the suspended loaderleomon forcing body removal or a safer security removal.

I face kentaurosmon in tabletop with a mate, all I can say if the deck has been given to the right player they can do otk with it and its disgusting
Yeah and I think this matchup was just hard because of the ability to ignore DP reduction, its a really good deck still :)

@@TheSqueakyMoose it really did mega is kentarausmon however others are like your usual rapidmon, yellow hybrid line, lopmon warp lvl5 i forgot the name and the yellow tamer it was weirdly good plus when he swing it was otk right away
God the digimon sound affect get annoying really qiuckly.
