This roof just got screwed up I can see roof leaks in the future wtf someone tell the owner they experimenting on his roof haha
Omg, a roof leak. Aka future work.
Love how you teach these guys. Keep it up.
Can’t work with a smoke don’t smoke. He’s actually doing pretty good. I was a mess
1 nail skip piss lmao I just laughed my ass off! I'm a Mason and I could have had the roof done twice.😂 I seriously admire your patience.
I can do the whole roof in 20 minutes Hold my beer 🥴🤣
Hey good job teaching brother hard to keep people safe while training them a back breaking trait.. nice work buddy 👊 glad no one got thrown off today lol
ahahah thank you man
Heck ya brother gotta show love and support where is needed!!! Have a good one
Good job boss, waiting for Brandon to nail his hand to the roof and scream at the heavens 😖😳😫🤢🤮
I wish I had a teacher like you been doing this since I was 18,21 now LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL
Wow dude, you're paying them $4 a square, that's damn near slavery!
$4 a square to start when you tell them what they could be making is incentive to get fast. When your a green horn the knowledge is what's of value what you do with it is up to you...
I do HVAC will take $4 a square to learn but I wouldn’t change my career I would just wanna know how to do it for my own knowledge
@@shaneray5626 these guys will probably lay 5-10 squares total for the whole day. That's $20-50 for like 10 hours of hard work in the sun. HELL NO!! LMAO
@@shaneray5626 the guy is a piece of shit, he knows exactly what he's gonna pay out. Modern day slavery lol .. I would take minimum $100 for 10hours of work, even at a learning novice, I know what I'm worth.
Yeah I feel it I’ll just work from the day take the money and watch more TH-cam videos
Wow great teacher! I was just handed the gun and the other guys showed me I’m 22 and put down 10sq by myself
No fall restraint for the greenhorns?!?! That's a good way to get your workers comp rates up! Wouldn't see that smoke on my site too!
Pussy
Great to see you teaching the kids the right way. Encouragement rather than screaming when they make a small error. Goes a long way.
I hope so. The screaming got the point across to me lol sometimes I wonder if I should be a dick lmao
2-12 inches from the ...........really????? LMAO. For fuck's sake, lol.
Yea you want your nail one inch from the end and you dont want to put your second nail until at least 12 inches. That way the seam doesn't land close to a nail. That's a potential for a leak in the future
Figured the tar paper and/or ice shield would prevent any of that leakage. Besides, the nail's covered up by the next shingle..... Moisture's gonna roll right over the top (and if the nail's going through the sealant tar strip anyways.....) of the previous shingle..... Methinks you kinda like micro-managing, lol. If the 3-tab gaps are that big, and worrisome, then find a different shingle. ........Alright, all that being said, I am not trying to start a fight or anything, and I do really enjoy watching your channel, brother. You kick some ass for sure, and I'm just gonna leave it at that. Keep on keepin' on, because we like to see it.
@@dredger9mm no sir that's one rule you should absolutely follow I promise you.
Alrighty then.
Nails in the butt joints is one of my least favorite repairs. No one wants to crawl in the attic during a hose test
I know how to shingle now...Thanks for the class.....
Good teacher. No need to scream and yell like they did to us. Brandon is not taking it in. Brandon is bird watching.
This world needs more people like you. Thanks for doing what you do.
I have no patience for dummies. Push him off the roof for me
First shingle right in the rain line
Poor guy.. one apprentice is more than enough to get me on my nerves. This guy deserve some kind of prize for keeping the calm teaching two of them
@@theguy9290 i became a master a couple years ago and let me tell you is not easy when one have to shingle a 12/12 and keep the insults to myself whe teaching some ungrateful dumb
You get the patience award either way after a lot of practice they will get better
i think if he drops the cigarette he'll learn faster
Having to train slows progress at first, but the guys are listening. Changing bad habits takes a little time to incorporate into the process. Good video.
Those guys should be ground guys for about two years before they ever pick up a gun.
Who’s going to spend 2 years picking up the scrap and carrying bundles up the ladder? Nobody’s going to stick around for that and you’re going to be going through workers like McDonald’s.
I did cuz I'm not a little bitch
Brave young lad, smoking and roofing at the same time!
Id have him get rid of that cigarette first
Great patience. Wish all bosses had that!!
As I comment you mention us admiring it lmao
Lol that's hilarious. Thanks for the compliment man
FYI take the cigarette out of the mouth when your trying to shoot a learning video. Come on men!
Mike Moore it’s real life man. It sucks but zack is showing you how he runs his crew and business. Let him do him.
At least the nailer was tied off....
Excellent work! Safety first boys
Ahahahahaaaaaaaa that's hilarious. Thank you
@@NWIVeteranConstruction your an excellent teacher and anyone would be lucky to have that. You give the vibe of being approachable, respectful, and reasonable while also authoritative and like a boss. Your one of those people that make the people around you wanna prove themselves so they don't feel belittled by their own skill and work ethic. That's a hard role to fill and you almost need to just naturally be one of those kind of people. It's not something everyone can be taught.
Why no harness though? 3 foot fall and wacking your head on something can be fatal. You as the business owner or even just as a supervisor have the obligation to know the law and follow it. I'm not familiar With US safety laws concerning construction but I'm sure there would be a law requiring 100% tie off after x amount of ft.
As the owner that WOULD result in the minimium of a year in prison and 100k fine. I would imagine something along those lines.
I'm a Canadian carpenter.
@@carpentryfirst3048 thanks again for the compliment nicely put. And we don't worry too much about that around here. Falls can be fatal but nobody really wears them at all out here unless they're on something really sketchy. Nobody at any of the jobs I worked used them and homeowners never even bring it up. Half the time they come up n check things out themselves. I have them and they're always available to my crew if they feel they need them but I don't Like wearing them they're almost hazardous themselves in my opinion as well as aggravating so I don't force that stress on any of my guys. I know if I worked for someone else n he tried to make me wear one I'd be pissed lol
Why don't you just get the guns you want instead of whining about Hitachis?
AWESOME VIDEO bro,!! I'm 25yrs old Cali living and I've been working in construction since a teenager with my ol Man nd he wouldn't let me pick up a nail gun. I got trained old school . he said u gotta get ur hammer nd nails my pops would always be barking over me. I would take it cuz honestly that will make you work smarter not harder, and to learn as much as they can like ppl like you that have experience and skills😎
That's pretty awesome man! You'll never be a cry baby complainer Like most new school roofers
You need some mexican man to ao this you kida how its really d9ne
I am one of the men admiring your patients and I’m only 18. Holy shit lol
Why No harnesses? Tripping hazard?
Naaaa I told them not to do anything they weren't comfortable with. I keep harnesses on the job but dont require it because THEY can be tripping hazards. We are all about free movement
Try explaining that to OSHA when someone falls off.
“Whoa!!! This bundle almost took you out son!” Idiots
Worlds Fastest Shingler I just wouldn’t risk the fines, not worth it, and someone falling could get badly injured and cost you a lot of money for not requiring harnesses
You are an awesome teacher. Damn you have patience. I would have been smoking these kids and had the walk away. Nice job instructing.
Definitely admiring your patience, lol.
I admire your patience.
Good tips for him when I learned to shingle no one hardly told me anything I picked most of it up from watching Owens Corning are great shingles to learn because of that nail strip most of the problems I see with roofs are nails that are high of course
smokes on breaks only- well til you geter down. great job teachin'-paid education-well done hooah
Homeowner see’s this and is like WTF 🤦🏼♀️ Trainees on my ROOF 😭
Where's a Mexican when you need one ...hahaha just bullshittin. Nice video guys
