Dept 56 and vintage Halloween candles for over $100 (antique booth, not online:) I found the paper maches about two weeks ago at an estate sale, but they wanted $400 for them. Crazy!
I remember Don Post would have a whole line advertised in old Star Log, Fangoria magazines for around 25.00 to 30.00 for regular monsters and 65.00 for Star Wars and Trek masks.
This morning I found a pair of dead stock 1960s red wing du flex sole boots. I paid $6 They should bring close to $300. The hilarious thing is that right before the sale I was talking to a man and he was telling me how he resells on eBay and does Uber to make a living. He was complaining about how hard it is to find good items around here. He proceeds to walk into the sale, browse the clothes, find a pair of nwt wrangler jeans, glance at everything else and then leave. He was in there for no more than 10 minutes. Not shots at him but I think if you are going to complain you should at least give it a good college try before complaining. I walked out with a $300 pair of boots, a $200 crush thermometer, and a $80 canon camera while he walked out with $20 in jeans.
I've had the same scenario happen many times. Never let other resellers discourage you to the point you don't look or skip a sale. You just never know what people buy or will not see.
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. I do go to the bins a lot and love watching your variety of pickups. Your videos sometimes surprises me with how much something is worth and makes me realize how many times I have passed on items not realizing it was worth picking up. Thanks for helping us Wick
Wick, this is an interesting video. I don't buy Holiday - nothing. Nothing Holiday. I wish I could, but I've been stuck with too much holiday stuff -- long tail. It sits after the holidays and you have to wait for the next holiday. It doesn't sell off-holiday. I held onto an Elvis Christmas mug set for 2 years! I have scary Halloween stuff on AMZ and it's not selling. So NO holiday stuff for me.
That creepy vintage Halloween stuff is the best. I'd definitely have problems selling that. I collect the Holland Mold etc light up statues, like the Christmas trees everyone is wild bout now. Good stuff!
I lost out on a vintage blow mold halloween decoration. It's currently pending but the seller hasn't updated me. Tried offering the seller more. She only wanted $10 for something that sells for $100 + shipping on ebay
I would never try and buy those Halloween things at Home Depot for re sale , I know damn good and well they would just sit on eBay and I’d be stuck with it
Not sure exactly which one that is, but if it doesn't have it's original box just take it apart and pack it like anything else. Look at UPS shipping since it's going to be a larger box. It might be cheaper to ship in two separate boxes if you can keep the dimensional weight down. That's what really causes the price to shoot up.
@@FlippingJunk it was the ferry of the dead one and it was huge. It ended up being used and re taped back up in original box. I left it bc it wouldn't even fit in my car. But you want to talk spooky stuff. Everytime I watch your videos on my TV and then go back to my phone a lot of the time my phone has items you were you just talking about on my facebook marketplace. I'm not signed in on my TH-cam TV. 😂😂😂

Arbitraging holiday designs seems extra risky with fickle buyers. Personally, I wouldn't want to get stuck with any of it.
FYI, a book of shadows is just a book that a witch puts her spells in. Yes, there are real witches, and most are very good people.
Harry Potter is a sick wizard
Good info, just a little late for this season
