    Wow! This whote tiger is amazing. I know for a fact that pastels are not the easiest medium to use but it is obvious you are a master. The way that you have captured lighting in the tigers face is nothing short of amazing. Keep up the great work. Blessings

    Absolutely stunning! You are great at getting a lot of detail while using a medium that is so soft.

      Thankyou 😊
      It's really an illusion though! When you look close, there's not much detail at all, I just give the general gist of fur and your eyes will automatically think there's more detail than there is 😊

    Hi Rebecca! I'm making a white tiger, and I had a screenshot of this video saved on my cell phone, a long time ago, and I wanted to look it up to see what I've been doing wrong. I'm having a problem with the shadow below the jaw and chest, both colors are white, but you see earth tones, neutrals, blues, and light colors that don't have to be pure white. I corrected the error a bit so that the difference between the chin and the chest could be seen, and the color of the chest came out gray blue. Color that is not seen in other parts of the body of the white tiger. Well, I loved this video, and I will use it before starting another white tiger project.

      I'm glad the tutorial has helped!
      This tutorial is a coloured pencil one, but there are so many helpful tips for drawing white fur that you could apply to pastel drawings as well! Hope it helps 😊

    This is amazing thanks for sharing! If you don’t have pan pastels, can you use regular soft pastels like Sennelier for the under layer?

    • @KirstyRebeccaFineArt
      @KirstyRebeccaFineArt  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You're welcome 😊
      You can, but you'll have to apply it very lightly, and make sure you blend it out quite well so there's not too much pastel sitting on the surface to start with (so you can add more details on top!)

    I really like your Art! Do you ever consider using Coloured pencils, for fine details?

    • @KirstyRebeccaFineArt
      @KirstyRebeccaFineArt  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Colin, I'm glad you like my art!
      I use coloured pencils often as a separate medium to pastels, but if I were to use them in combination with pastels, I would use Pan Pastels as a base layer with coloured pencils on top on Luxarchival Sanded Paper (I find the coloured pencil won't stick as well on top of Pastelmat using my techniques so the Luxarchival is the only paper I like when combining pastel and coloured pencil)
      I do have a few videos explaining my methods and why I choose that paper for that combination 😊

      @@KirstyRebeccaFineArt Hello Kirsty, yes I didn't make myself very clear. My thoughts were indeed curious about using Colour Pencils over Pan Pastels. It appears that, Pan Pastels have the ablity to lay down, and cover larger area's quickly, giving appropirate Colour and Value where required.

    Hi Kirsty love this tutorial can you tell me what projected u used thankyou

    • @KirstyRebeccaFineArt
      @KirstyRebeccaFineArt  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I honestly have no idea what the brand is! It doesn't say on the projector, but I know it was a ridiculously cheap one from China that I got as a gift from ebay 🤷‍♀️
      It's not an art projector, it's just for playing movies on the go
      You can get some nice art projects from Artograph though 😊

    Would love to know what projector you used.

    • @KirstyRebeccaFineArt
      @KirstyRebeccaFineArt  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's a really cheap projector from eBay (it has no brand name on it) and it's supposed to used for watching movies while camping etc
      But it's honestly terrible, I would not recommend it! It's very very pixelated and you can't see any details! I just use it for the general placement then freehand in the details
      I am looking into getting a good one, but their quite expensive so it will be a little while before I would be able to recommend any 😊
