      Well that comparison is not very accurate as Adobe tries to show you the very basic stuff of their projects. It's not their work to put out content like this then again their work would be fixing or rewriting AfterFX...

      Adobe felts like proper underage education channel if you compare here. This felt like underground, like smuggling for good or fighting with the enemies to save people, etc... Let release on your own ae and ps versions then watch us obey you.

    I really don't understand how Adobe, knowing about all the pitfalls of this super old and outdated software, don't allocate resources to rebuilding it from the ground up to get a much better, more efficient program for artists to use. Literally everyone would benefit from that.

    • @Edbrad
      @Edbrad 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +9

      Because when you build something this deep and complex the idea of rebuilding from scratch is huge. It’s why new companies can come in and do something better because the bigger and older a company is the more ridged it is. A company itself can get this way. They have their systems and processes and trying to change one part can break the whole thing, whereas a new company is much more fluid and adaptable to new ways of doing things. Their infrastructure isn’t built yet so they’re still fluid. It’s like a new company can incorporate AI a lot easier because they can develop all their systems around it, whereas “legacy” companies that have been around for decades have to try and “add” AI.

    I have a lot of respect for you and the work you do. Each video expands my mind a little more each time. The quality of the production with the true professional perspective makes me feel small in a good way. There too much fun stuff that i don't know yet. Your work gives an idea of what happens in deeper levels of design.
    I wish we could learn more about your experience. Adobe's video opens the door a bit. But i could't find your previous works or any content anywhere else.
    I watched all your videos multiple times and you really helped me shape my philosophy on arts. Thanks man. Cheers from Turkey.🖖

    I feel like Time Blend FX is kind of a simulation effect. You can adjust the simulation with the effects between them! What a wonderful way of creating stunning visuals. Even tho it has this purge gimmick it definitely worth it! Thank you for the amazing video!

    Such a brilliant tutorial. Thanks so much. Something i learned along the way is that the subject needs to be a comp or video with a background. I tried using a precomp with a transparent background and it wasn't working at all. then i added a white solid in the back of that comp and it suddenly worked.

    Not sure why, but mine doesn't spread out the way his does at 4:32. I think I've done everything, added the 2 time blend adj layers, copy on top, paste on the bottom. Put 4 adj layers in between with a darken blend mode, added a displacement map with wrap pixels around checked and displacement map behavior set to tile map. Made a simple stroke flow with the pen tool on a shape layer with taper and trim paths on it. Lastly I made the fractal noise on a solid in the bg, I left it default.

    But i wasn't doing it with Text Layer but with Stroke effect on Solid. And when i tried to add Adjustment Layer with Displacement Map, it just didn't show it properly.
