Personally, the amount of shear-strength that plywood/OSB adds is a good justification. I live in the northeast US, so I will likely opt for 2x6 walls for my next shop, but I can't judge because my current setup pales in comparison to what you have. Looks like a great place to turn some wrenches and get projects done!
@Gzus I'm certainly blessed to have what I have to get projects done. Thought about doing 2x6 but 2x4 was sufficient for the building. Thanks for stopping in and leaving a comment!
I did the OSB inside my shop also. Drywall doesn't have a place in a working shop, if it's just a hangout than it would be fine. Have wished I had steel at times so I could wash vehicles inside in the winter, but with steel I'd have to make sure any hole I put in it to hang/mount something I'd have to think out completely. OSB I run a screw in and if two days later decide I would like it somewhere else I just move it. And even though there is a hole there it's not near as noticeable as if it was in steel.
I did my electric heated garage, the exact same way as yours for the same reasons as you. Mostly because I like the way yours looked in the first electric heating video. This video didn’t exist yet so I didn’t know the reasons why you did it lol!
Good Morning Sir, Very Nice Garage ( I have the same press wood finish ). I'm thinking to paint it bright White to make it brighter inside 👌🧐👍Very Nice Tool Board 👍🧐👌Sir, you can had inside insulation on your garage door ( like a blanket ) and I had did it in the pass and it was amazing !!! You will find the diffrence realy fast on your bill ( it is paying itself with in weeks !!! ) and I did triple my window by the outside ( yes my window were not able to open but again I saw the electric bill droping down fast !!! ). Keep Up Your OUTSTANDING Work and Videos Sir Cheers 🍻🍻
Well I’m to your west in Nebraska!
I got Milwaukee , thanks to my employer 😊
He just hit his wall with a freaking hammer, the walls feel that.
Bring the hammer!

Steel definitely would be nice at times, but I agree it's nice to move something and never know it was there!

Great minds think alike! I'm a big fan of the setup.
