***A CORRECTION*** Hi Folks. I made a right mess of naming the members of Lankum. They are a 4 piece band from Dublin comprising of Ian Lynch, Daragh Lynch, Cormac MacDiarmada and Radie Peat who is the brilliant female vocalist. In my defence the sleeve notes are quite convoluted and both Andy Fenstermaker and Iona Zajac are credited with vocals on the album. What I didn't get wrong is that Lankum are a great band and False Lankum is a brilliant album. Mike
Well done Mike. 100% agree on the Damned album. The first songs on side 1 and 2 are 2 of the greatest punk songs ever written! Love them. Good luck on the contest
Vinyl Stockholm.. I will check him out, actually, I think I am subbed, need to go back and watch ! Mike.. Beautiful showing of "Exotic Birds And Fruit" !! No one has shown that Procol Harum , yet , and The Damned cover is perfect ! Lankum.. Listening right after watching your entry.. I love these suggestions from everyone ! Mike, thank you so much for taking the time to do one of these, and with that.. You are entered into the drawing with Sean doing the honors randomly picking 3 winners on the 29th of Sept. Sunday 1 pm PST
I don't reccomend you eat parrots either, there ain't much meat on them. Stick with chicken !!! When you mentioned Sleaford Mods,I automatically thought KEBAB Spiders 😁 I did think of that Damned LP but thought Strawberries was the better option 🍓🍓🍓🐷🐷🐷
Hi Mike! Many thanks for the shout out, it made me very happy! I didn't know about your channel but I knew about Jt's Record Room. I have subscribed now, looking forward to dig in to your videos. And now I have to look for records with food on the cover, haha. Lankum sounds very interesting, I have to check it out. Thanks again for the kind words. Cheers!
Hi Mike, Andy Fenstermaker in Lankum? I think you are mixing up your VC’ers with your contemporary Irish Folksters 😂. Well done on giving the Dark Siders a spanking on Friday night, nothing less than they deserve for ‘putting the cue on the rack’ this season’. Just a shame London couldn’t get one over on Huddersfield. Andy
HI Andy, Yes I made a right mess of that.😕I've put a correction in the comments. I didn't know the vcer Andy Fenstermaker, I'll check him out. Always nice to beat the dark siders, and a nice way to finish our season at home. Sad to see Rhyse Martin go. He's been one of the few consistent performers over the last few seasons. We were keeping an eye on your match and it looked like you were going to win. The title is now in the hands of the Rhinos, Wigan next week and then Craven Park. Cheers Mike
@@mikevinylspiral Hi Mike, who knew there were some many Andy Fenstermakers! Andy the VCer’s channel is call The Fensepost. He is based in Texas and shows quite a lot of interesting stuff, mainly more recent indie type music, likes the Decemberists, Blonde Redhead, The New Pornographers, Low etc but also shows lots of stuff that is unfamiliar (at least to me). Very pleased to land Reece Martin, it will be nice to convert some of those tries we score! I think you could be right about Leeds holding the key, I think there could be a lot riding on that last game of the regular season. Wishing you all the best against Wigan! Andy
Mike, is that also a cockatoo on the Procol cover? English Tapas looks as tasty as a pie floater. Not only is the Damned got food on the cover, Rat is eating it off the Captains head 😂The Lankum album sounds interesting. I'll check it out. Cheers...Ben
Yep Ben, there's a cockatoo on the cover. Had to google pie floater. It's pie and mushy peas in Yorkshire. False Lankum is well worth a listen as is Live in Dublin. Cheers Mike

Thanks JT. Always enjoy your channel.
See you again, Mike !
Very good choices, Mike. English Tapas is great. I will have to check out Lankum.
Thanks Brian. I feel I need to fly the flag for Sleaford Mods. I don't think I've seen anybody else show their albums. Cheers Mike.
Good stuff Mike. Some interesting picks for sure.
Thanks Jason
Sorry Mike - great minds think alike ! Good choices ❤
Yes they do. Belle and Sebastian was a good choice also. Chers Mike

@@mikevinylspiral I like peas and I like pies, but I never understood why you'd want to make that beautiful flaky or shortcrust pie pastry all soggy.
