- A lot of automakers in the market are now offering 7-seaters from the ever-popular Japanese brands to more luxurious European marques. The choice depends on whether you’re willing to shell out millions for a more luxurious model or are looking for something easier on the pocket.
Should you be looking for the latter, today we will be looking at one of Toyota’s newest contender in the market: the Rush. Specifically, we will be checking out the 1.5 G variant, which is Toyota Motor Philippines’ top-of-the-line model for the Rush locally.

What is the performance of the 1.5 engine with 4 speed? Could it be almost the same as the MG ZS (I test drove one)?

It’s nice to have all those safety features you mention, yes! but traction control or electronic brake distribution should be the rule and not the exception (as you say with the brothers and sisters ;) Coming from Europe I have the impression car manufacturers are sometimes cheating on us here, similar price than there but far less features. Good review anyway!
The rear AC is not a cooler only, it has condenser fins. Try to look at it po
Yung aircon nang rush kailangan naka auto mode ka para maadjust yung thermostat. Pag ginalaw mo yung fanspeed nya di na gagana yung thermostat laging max cooling sya. Ewan kung bakit ganun yung gawa nila. Madali pa masira yung switch ng ilaw nang mirror sa visor.

I liked this one. It felt more sincere. This what I like. There are no perfect cars and it would be nice if we would know what the car is lacking because this can be a deal breaker compared to its competitors. Well done!
Ang aircon ng rush G sa second row hindi po blower lang may compressor din siya, ang E variant blower lang FYI

Meaning dual Aircon po siya.
May evaporator coils siya but one compressor only. Hinati lang sa dalawa ang evaporator coils sa harap at likod but both are run by a single compressor.

This has “dual aircon”. The one in the ceiling has evaporator inside, take a flashlight or pry open the intake vent and you’ll see - so it’s not a blower only, that it is why cabin easily gets cold.
does the toyota rush have a limited slip differential ?
I wish we could have an exterior of a RUSH but the interior similar to BRV, including the preppy engine

Sincere and very informative review! No perfect car, yet the Rush delivers as an entry level SUV. The body on frame construction makes it tougher, gives it a higher ground clearance and an indulgent approach and departure angles... the safety features i.e. the airbags, hill start assist, traction and stability controls, abs, back sensors and camera etc... are a big plus too. The DOHC Dual VVTI engine is efficient when driven wise and conservatively. The 4 speed AT is reliable and transitions smoothly though this can still be improved. For general city driving and mild off roading, the Rush is really up to task! Fuel consumption based on our experience is around 16 km/L highway and about 11 km/L city driving (mild to mod traffic). As the saying goes the real test of the pudding is in the eating... so always test drive before you buy!

Damn that vertical motion from a solid rear axle suspension is very noticable. A trait you don't see on a unibody mpv like xpander and brv.
I would be more confident putting maximum load on a body on frame toyota rush than unibody mpv's.

All the competitors in this segment has 1.5l engine so i think there is no competion in powerplants. All of them will struggle with load.

For 1.1m you have 6 airbags, traction control, ABS, ebd, backup camera and sensors shouldn't be dissatisfied cause this is a budget friendly SUV.

Basta kami, super contented kami sa Toyota Rush G A/T namin, sa itsura, sa tindig, wheel handling very nice, sa loob at labas, lahat na wala kaming masabing hindi maganda very good quality talaga👌👍😃😍

you need money to buy rush or any brand of car....if u own any brand..you said...its the best car...
It’s an Avanza with a heavier body. Same Daihatsu engine that could hardly rev up the much lighter Avanza body load. It’s more of a crew cab than sporty - good for crews fixing water leaks in flooded areas due to its higher ground clearance.

why review the Rush 2018 in the middle of 2019 where there is Rush 2019? and whats the difference between 2018 and 2019. To help customers to better identify car models and to prevent kind of a scam to get a 2018 sold as 2019. I compared lots of images 2018 and 2019 and I can't see any difference.
I think same lang. Wala nagbago. Dealer (any brand) can sell daw yun for 2019 if ubos na inventory n sa kanila. I have read sa mga forums na buying sila last month(other car) pero 2020 nkalagay na.

@Gene Paulo Delos Angeles meron naman po. Parts use in rush are Toyota. Denso. And Transmission used is Aisin which toyota.owns the company. Daihatsu. Uses Denso. Same parts Use in toyota

Ako satisfied ako sa Rush, kahit matagtag siya. Pero may advantages naman iyon nasubukan ko siya sa mga zigzag road 5-7 ang passengers , ang ganda niya sa kurbada, tapos parang torque-based yung engine niya kasi kahit low rpm maganda yung response niya, at RWD ramdam mo yung pagkakaiba sa FWD.

Just buy an Avanza or an Ertiga.
You want a car that can isolate all noises so you can't hear anything outside? that's dangerous!!! no wonder I always encounter stupid drivers just cut the way with no regards on my horn.

Palit kayo nang shock absorber fluid type. Masabi lang na matibay suspension nang toyota kc ginagamit nila gas type.
